Certainly as presented, Buonissimo, Hilde Soliani's release that celebrates Luckyscent's 15th anniversary, is a gourmand lover's gourmand, and its note breakdown supports such a forecast. From the opening I get more of a cocoa vibe before it dries down into its stated mix of croissant, vanilla, sugar, butter, cappuccino, and caramel, though frankly the last two contribute the least. It's really not a caramel or a coffee scent at all, even though they both might very well contribute in the background. Rather, Buonissimo has the combined effective of smelling like a confectionery shop and a bakery at the same time. Performance is quite good overall, and the pricing is fair ($160 for 100ml), especially relative to what the niche market is like now. I'd offer the general admonition that Buonissimo might be unbearable for those who do not like sweet scents, predictably, and might prove redundant for some gourmand lovers like myself, but that it's not so vanilla-centric and features a bready/buttery side renders it a bit of a departure from everything in my catalog. It's not the least bit resinous, either, so it fails to overlap the vanilla/amber subgroup that. It's delectable and playful, clearly unisex and year-round friendly, though admittedly I'd be careful about when I wear it during the warmer months, and most of all, it's a satisfying wear that works for me. I'll certainly give some thought to nabbing a bottle. 8 out of 10

The perfect amount of coffee with actual vanilla and caramel creamer. The butter is practically undetectable and isn’t obnoxious. It’s more of a croissant which isn’t pushy in this fragrance somewhere on the table and you kinda know butter is an ingredient used to make it. Glad those two notes are subtle to allow the warm cozy cup of coffee to shine. This would be a more casual coffee scent if I acquired, while Kilian Black Phantom a more dressed night out. It’s also not as powerful in terms of “fill the room projection” like TK Coffee Addict. TK would be the better option for those who always have performance issues as this is the more calm version, actually showing the caramel to peak through more. Buonissimo is delicious and wearable in my opinion. Performance is still great in my opinion but it does close in towards the skin at the 2-3 hour mark. I’ve seen and heard of this indie house for many years now and finally decided to try. Not disappointed at all.

This is an unexpected delight for me as I'm not a huge coffee person and generally don't enjoy the smell of a brewing pot. The opening is a boozy specialty Irish coffee with a rich dark coffee base, vanilla whipped cream, hazelnut, and a bit of whiskey. Sweet, but not saccharine, this is the smell of a cheeky sunday brunch or an after dinner drink. Settles down into a gentle caramel mocha scent. This fragrance is oddly ephemeral and fleeting despite the strong notes and good projection at the beginning. This scent is strangely wearable despite being a true food scent. I see why Hilde is known as The Queen of Gourmand. The sweetness, vanilla, and hazelnut transform this scent into something decadent and cozy instead of harsh and bitter. This is a scent I don't think it's possible to over spray--you may just owe your coworkers a coffee run if you over spray and head to the office. 8/10

Cappuccino, yes. French cafe traditional cappuccino with the microfoam and a flaky, buttery croissant on the side? No. Think long road trips, rain on the windows, drifting in and out of sleep in the passenger seat while the radio plays quietly in the background. You stop at a gas station just off the freeway and run from your vehicle through the downpour. Inside, you set your styrofoam cup under the cappuccino machine and hit the button. It spits to a start and the scalding hot mix of powdered coffee, sugar, and french vanilla flavoring quickly fill your cup. You burn your tongue on your first sip of the sweet liquid, but it gives you that little burst of energy you need for another few hours and the last stretch of road.

Extremely pleasant to my nose, doing long day today and testing my samples along the way. I feel so nurtured and comfy sniffing this in my arm, I’m gourmand lover and this is just deeelicious and defenate buy! I can definitely smell the croissant and the caramel and the coffee brings the sweetness down in the most appropriate manner as does the butter! Very comforting mood lifter like a cup of hot chocolate curled up in a blanket snuggling with your purring cat. Lasting power isnt very strong so after hour cant smell much anymore nose to skin Edit:$160 for a perfume that is only skin scent and disappears after one hour, not worth it for being too weak.

  • em inglês

A decadent, rich scent: thick cappuccino coffee, cake with all the trimmings, no skimping on creamer. One of my teachers in elementary school always had a mug of coffee and the scent would fill the whole room, this delicious incredible almost caramel-like coffee with a velvety roasted espresso depth and generous hazelnut creamer. I can picture it in my head now, being 9 or 10, the mug resting on her desk, secretly hoping she'd bring it nearer so I could sniff it. Maybe this memory is embellished by time; that's how good it was. The best coffee I've ever smelled. This is just like that.

This reminds me of nothing else. I’m a picky gourmand lover. I bacame totally obsessed by this one. It takes me to Italy right away, to the cafeteria me and my tiramisu and capuccino (or croissant and capuccino) and all the Italian cravings comes over me. It’s smells exactly as the dessert and I find it very unisex, sophisticated gourmand, not to sweet. The only problem is the weak staying power. It really doesn’t stay very long on my skin, maximum 2 hours. My 10 ml decant is very soon empty and if someone wants to swap//sell please pm me!!!

Anyone who is looking for a photorealistic coffee scent - look no further! This is it! This smells *exactly* and I mean *exactly* like a cappuccino and a buttery croissant. I mean, other coffee fragrances, even the good ones, just don't compare at all. This is just such a cozy, happy, good smell, Buonissimo! Truly. ETA: I think this is unisex. Yes, it is a little sweet, but a man could definitely wear this because there is something quite masculine about the coffee note.

  • em inglês

To me this smells like the bottom of your mug immediately after finishing a cappuccino. Maybe you dipped in a biscotti, maybe other bakery scents are wafting about. It's one of the least fake or cloying true gourmands I have tried, it's really enjoyable, but unfortunately the longevity is indeed poor at this price point. I wish this line came in 30ml or even travel sizes because then I would be a lot more open to picking up a few, and decants are hard to come by.

  • em inglês

Got a sample from luckyscent and as a gourmand lover I've gotta say this is already one of my favorites fragrances ever. Tiramisu, Cappuccino, Coffee creamer, Italian cafe all come to mind when I smell it. It's sooo delicious, such an amazing fragrance. It's only downfall is the fact that it probably won't last longer than 2-3hrs. Am I still gonna buy the full bottle even though it doesn't have the best performance? Absolutely it's too delicious not to own.

  • em inglês

This perfume is DIVINE! It's sweet and gourmand without being sickly, the coffee note really adds a unique depth. I get compliments every time I wear it!

  • em inglês

I first got a bit of cocoa, and then the smell turned into a photorealistic hazelnutty coffee. Once the coffee "cooled", I was left with a sweet milky scent that cozily settled on my skin. Gourmand lovers will love this. I only have a dabber, so I can't say with certainty how wearable this scent is, but the projection is pretty weak. I think it's great for those with sensitive noses who don't mind sniffing their wrist. It is lovely that it isn't cloying but still sweet. For those who want projection, this scent, while delicious, will probably disappoint.

  • em inglês

Very sweet opening notes of vanilla, butter and a croissant type of smell. Fairly simple notes. I love sweet croissants, reminded me of them when I lived in Naples Italy. Possibly a little too sweet for office. The longevity is not that great, became a skin scent after an hour or two. Sillage is great initially but then lowers significantly after an hour. I love the smell but I don't think for me it's bottle worthy. Possibly if better longevity I would consider.

  • em inglês

Like sipping a caramel cappuccino in a café. On my skin, Buonissimo's caramel and vanilla notes are most prominent, accented by coffee, creamer, and a hint of butter. This is a gourmand through and through - Hilde Soliani is the Queen, after all. I recommend this fragrance if you're looking for a coffee gourmand that's uncompromisingly sweet but not overly linear. Personally, however, I'm going to be layering this fragrance to add some contrast and depth.

  • em inglês

The opening of this smells like the butterscotch candies my grandmother's kept in a crystal dish in her living room. On skin however it smells like wafts on the teacher's lounge at your elementary school as french vanilla coffee brews in the background-- like coffee breath even. Def a gourmand coffee scent and the butter and bread notes give it again that sort of butterscotch/caramel smell.

  • em inglês

Sampling this. It is straight up vanilla yellow cake batter with sweet vanilla buttercream icing. there is a slight hint of coffee. its very sweet, but not cloying. it comes close, but doesnt go over that fine line. if you have a sweet-nose, youll probably like it, but this fragrance is a bit too literal and too sweet to be wearable for me.

  • em inglês

Vanilla buttery pastry. I never detected coffee which was slightly disappointing. This smells so good and edible. It actually borders on "scented candle" for me. The longevity was just okay and to be frank it was a skin scent from the very beginning. I like it but for the price I think it should be a little stronger.

  • em inglês

I have an old sample of this from Luckyscent, and the decant has held up beautifully. delish, and I'm not usually a gourmand girl. it's smells like hazelnut coffee creamer but like, an expensive and aspirational hazelnut coffee creamer. like a strong, milky, hazelnut espresso drink with a fat slice of brioche

  • em inglês

Nice! Boozy opening with a sweet caramel coffee drydown. It does sort of smell like you spilled your macchiato on yourself, haha. But that's a testament to how realistic it is. Definitely a cozy scent, I can imagine wearing this on a chilly rainy day and getting comfort from it.

  • em inglês

Boozy open, hazelnut Torani syrup finish, very slight saltiness on my skin which mixes with my natural smell. It fades even more quickly than her other scents because it doesn’t have any brightness. I personally prefer intimate scents, so not necessarily a bad thing.

  • em inglês

It's like if someone turned coffee creamer into a fragrance. It's the right side of gourmand though, and sweet but not sickly (Xerjoff Italica crosses this line for me for example).

  • em inglês

This is a very sweet French Vanilla cappuccino, and I love it! I’m quickly becoming a Hilde Soliani fan!

  • em inglês

Delicious coffee with hazelnut creamer! Unfortunately not the most long-lasting, but still delicious!

  • em inglês

Coffee Mate coffee creamer, hazelnut or vanilla, take your pick.

  • em inglês

This was the perfect gourmand fragrance until it was completely gone in less than 30 minutes. This is the full breakfast with a creamy capuccino with drizzled caramel and a buttery, soft and warm croissant. It kind of reminds me of Followed by Kerosene but sweeter more wearable version, until I noticed they're complete opposites on duration. Followed is Beast mode coffee that will never ever fade away from whatever it touches and Buonissimo is a skin scent that will fade away in the blink of an eye and that's is so heartbreaking and disappointing :(

  • em inglês

This was my first Hilde Soliani sample. The smell at first is very strong, sweet alcohol; identical to liquor filled chocolates - which i’m not very keen on. However, after few minutes it transforms into a very beautiful pastry scent that is wearable and delicious. I haven’t worn it enough yet to rate its longevity or silage.

  • em inglês

Such a pretty scent, but close to one of the worst performing perfumes I’ve ever tried. It’s very pretty though for the hour before it disappears. If it wasn’t so expensive it would be a great scent before bed. I agree that Coffee Addict is a much better choice, it performs a lot better for much cheaper.

  • em inglês

This is very reminiscent of the Demeter gourmand fragrances that were popular in the early 2000s (i.e. it smells inexpensive). It's pleasant but very mild. Sillage is weak unless you apply very generously and even then, it fades within the hour.

  • em inglês

this smells exactly like an irish cream or amaretto syrup laden coffee to me - very syrupy. i get absolutely zero lactonic, buttery, or creamy notes. disappointing overall and not the coffee scent profile for me but still a solid 6/10.

  • em inglês

If you want to smell like tiramisu in the literal sense, then this is it. To me, it smells more like what I would want a patisserie to smell like or candle/home fragrance than a perfume. Too literal of a gourmand for me. Tiramisu with toffee/buttery elements. A girls gotta eat.

  • em inglês

Hated it. Scrubber. So sickly sweet.

  • em inglês

i've wanted to try this for so long and was 100% expecting to love it but... sadly not the case 😞 i'd assume i'm just anosmic to this if i couldn't smell it on the initial application.. but i can! it's just that it completely disappears moments later. i know other reviews mention the poor longevity but for me it's not just bad, it's insultingly abysmal. lasts as a skin scent for all of 2 minutes then evaporates into thin air. the pathetic amount of time it does last it's.. nice, i guess. get much more of a croissant dipped in caramel than a cappucino, but it's gone before i can smell anything else. a cinderella at the ball but without even leaving a slipper to find a trace of her. sad! overall rating: 🩷🖤🖤🖤🖤 1/5

I am terribly sorry. I really am. I do my best to provide concise, honest reviews, and while this review is most certainly honest, I know that it is a bit longer than some might like. However, I feel that it is important, nay, critical that I include a few simple details about the circumstances surrounding my first encounter with this fragrant concoction. Omitting this background information would be unfair to those looking for a truthful, unbiased, educative review. Last year, I took a short trip for the purposes of leisure and relaxation. I embarked on this voyage without a companion. I felt the need to isolate myself in unfamiliar surroundings, something I do from time to time in an attempt to lessen the near-constant ache of the monotony of everyday life. I purchased myself a train ticket and set off toward the coast on a Thursday morning. The train ride was pleasant enough. I had indulged, perhaps a bit more sumptuously than I should have, on a private roomette car, which I found pleasant, if not a bit cramped. I have traveled by rail many times throughout my life, but never in such comfort. This was a great deal more luxurious than the boxcars of my youth. The passage took just over twenty-four hours. I filled my time by enjoying the scenery from the train’s observation car, reading, and savouring the carefully made comestibles that I had prepared for myself before leaving home. It felt very nice to travel in this way. It was a fine start to a trip that I will certainly never forget. Once I reached my destination, a small fishing village, the name of which I will not be stating for reasons that I will not be explaining, I enjoyed a short, brisk walk from the train depot to the seaside hotel at which I had reserved a room for two nights. To my great surprise, the check-in process went smoothly. I was not told that my room had been double-booked or that there had recently been a fire which had destroyed that portion of the hotel. Instead, I found myself interacting with competent staff in a clean, strangely empty hotel. I had not expected the area to be overrun with tourists, as it was far from the peak season, and this particular little town is not often seen as a prized holiday destination, but I did find it curious that so few people, locals or visitors, appeared to be inhabiting the area. When I questioned the front desk staff about the seemingly deserted state of things, they too said that they were surprised. The only kernel of wisdom I gleaned from our conversation was hidden inside of an offhand remark about how the fishing for the species for which the area is known had not been particularly bountiful as of late. I paid this little mind. Although I had planned on fishing, I do not consider myself a serious angler, and I am generally satisfied to simply sit near the roiling froth of the sea and revel in the crisp, briny air, fish or no fish. After depositing my belongings in my room, I spent much of the remainder of the day walking up and down a particularly desolate stretch of beach. I passed no more than three people during my four hours of rambling, and this suited me just fine. I quickly became accustomed to the idea that I would have the area to myself. I slept exceptionally well that evening, and the following morning, I gorged myself on a fine breakfast in a tiny restaurant just a few blocks from the hotel. I was the only patron in the establishment during my meal. I asked the cook, who also acted as the server, busser, and host, what they thought about the lack of people. With absolutely no expression of any kind on his grizzled face, he explained that it didn’t matter much to him if people were around or not. I found this peculiar, but thought it best not to pry. Instead, I asked if he had any idea what might be causing the emptiness of the town. He mumbled something or other about the good fish being gone and the bad fish taking their place. He then left and returned to the kitchen. I didn’t know what to make of this so I simply made nothing of it at all. After breakfast, I gathered my meagre fishing gear and headed toward the beach where, again, I was nearly alone for much of the day. At first, the fishing was quite slow. I do not pretend to be any sort of exceptional hunter or gatherer, but I was quite perplexed not to have felt even the slightest nibble on my line after three hours of careful casting and retrieving. In the early afternoon, the tide changed, and with it, my luck. I soon found myself reeling in fish after fish, each longer and thicker than the last. In no time at all, I had six very large, strange looking fish thrashing about in a hole that I had dug in the sand. These slippery beasts were far too large to house in the bucket I had brought with me, so instead, I dug a hole and carefully set the suffocating fish in the wet depression while I continued my fishing. After catching and dispatching six significant sea creatures, I realized that I had neither the room nor the upper body strength to carry any additional animals back to the hotel where I would process them. This meant that the other eighteen fish I caught that afternoon were returned with a quick toss into the dark, watery depths from whence they originated. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked the front desk clerk if it might be possible to hire a member of the kitchen staff to clean and fillet my bounty. The young woman left me and went to the kitchen. She reappeared a few minutes later to inform me that there was indeed a member of the staff who was ready and willing to help me process my many bizarre fish. I left my sodden treasure with her and informed her that I would be down in an hour’s time to retrieve my meat. With that, I left. I took a much needed bath, shaved, dressed, and returned to the front desk to find a neatly packaged bundle of long fish fillets. I thanked the front desk attendant and asked that she give my thanks to the masterful butcher who had made such short work of my catch. I paid for the services rendered and returned to my room with my heavy bag of flesh in tow. The following hour was spent carefully slicing and arranging two of the monstrous fillets. After catching such an incredible haul, I decided that I would reward myself with an evening of homemade, or should I say hotelmade, sashimi. I took my time preparing my feast. I had brought with me wasabi and soy sauce. I intended to have a simple, yet satisfying meal in my hotel room by the sea. When my work was finished, I was pleased to see the veritable bevy of raw, sliced fish arranged handsomely atop the bed. I was dreadfully hungry after such a long day fishing, and I gobbled down every last morsel of the rich, unctuous fish in no time. If I had to guess, I would say that I consumed just over a kilogram of raw flesh that evening. I’ll spare you most of the details of what followed, but after my dinner, I spent the rest of that night, and much of the next day, in true agony. I later learned that the fish I had caught and devoured was none other than the fabled Ruvettus pretiosus, or oilfish, as it is more commonly called. Had I known a bit more about this particular species, I would have never dared taste its cursed flesh. For those who are not aware, let me take a moment to inform you that the oilfish, a type of snake mackerel, contains dangerously high levels of wax esters, which, of course, the human digestive system cannot efficiently process. In short, consumption of this fish often has a severe purgative effect which is known as keriorrhea. This horrible affliction causes sour, orange liquid to transude from one’s bowels, and in my case, this rank, oily discharge was exceptionally painful to excrete and worryingly vast in quantity. I quickly found that the hotel’s plumbing was woefully ill-equipped to handle that much fish wax, so I was left with a debilitating stomachache and no toilet to use once the pipes were thoroughly blocked with my ductile stool. I hate to admit this, but I had to resort to filling the tub with my greasy secretions, and fill it I did. By morning, the bathtub was nearly overflowing with my horrible manure, and I was utterly exhausted from trying to keep my head above the ever-rising muckline. Thankfully, I had just enough energy to crawl out of the bathtub and into the bedroom where I telephoned the front desk. They quickly came to my aid. They carried me to another room where they hosed me down and scrubbed my stained skin with harsh soaps and solvents. I wept with thanks for their kindness and care as they dressed me and fed me spoonfuls of mild broth. With their help, I eventually regained enough strength to walk, and, miraculously, I made it to the station in time to catch my train home. As I climbed aboard the train, the young hotel worker, who had so expertly attended to me in my hour of need, reached out their hand and gave me a small parcel. They said that it might help cover up the malodorous memory of the prior evening. I thanked her and made my way to the private roomette where I quickly fell into a deep, dreamless sleep. When I awoke, I found that I was nearly home. I was feeling quite a bit better after having slept. I thought of the whole ordeal that I had been through with disgust and gratitude. I was disgusted at what that awful fish had done to my innards, and what my awful innards had done to that hotel bathroom, and I was grateful for the kindness, care, and compassion that I had received at the hands of strangers. It was then that I remembered the gift I had been given when boarding the train. I rummaged through my belongings and eventually located the small box. I opened it and saw the slim, unmistakable bottle of Buonissimo by Hilde Soliani. I was delighted. This fragrance was just the thing to eliminate the foul remembrance of my encounter with the dreaded oilfish. I leaned back in my seat, closed my eyes, and sprayed the atomizer directly onto my face several times until my skin felt thoroughly saturated with the potent elixir.

Could've just named this Grandma's Kitchen. This fragrance comes to life with the sweet grounds of coffee beans and baked seasonal treats. Warm sugar-dusted sweets, flaky croissants, and caramel fills the atmosphere all embraced by a wallop of buttery vanilla to give you the cuisine experience. Food as a fragrance. You gotta ask yourself if this is something you aspire to smell like. This gourmand is also powdery but the dusty particles doesn't begin to emerge until the 45min mark. It does get stronger as it warms on your skin and the fragrance begins to waft softly around you with the sweet cappuccino, baking spices and mouth-watering baked goods. Buonissimo is warm and comforting, morphs wonderfully and the dry down is the epitome of autumn at nana's.

  • em inglês

This one is right to the point - smells like a lovely vanilla croissant with a milky cappuccino on the side. It is a bit sweet, but more 'creamy' than sugary. If you are a gourmand lover, this would be a heavenly one! I was looking for something a bit heavier on the coffee, but it is still a very nice fragrance. Reminds me a bit of Atelier Cologne Cafe Tuberose, but without the white floral. For my personal taste Cafe Tuberose is a bit better since it isn't as straight up gourmand, BUT I do love to smell such true-to-life gourmands on occasion, even if I don't wear them. A fun experience in a sample, and if you wear realistic gourmands, worthy of a bottle since it is so well done.

  • em inglês

this doesn't at all smell like coffee on me! maybe a vanilla liqueur you'd pour into a coffee and a fresh croissant on the side, but this one's 404 cappucino not found for me. i prefer to wear scents that are a bit startling and off-putting and this is anything but that...and i love to wear it! it's delicious! it's the grown up version of the gourmand scented hand sanitizers i'd get at bath & bodyworks as a kid. highly recommend :-) also this one didn't fade as fast on me as it does for others, it's close to the skin by the end of the day but i can still smell it, so i recommend sampling!

  • em inglês

Oh, this makes me so sad. The first hour is pure, sweet, caramel macchiato magic, as if you've dipped your arm in the most delicious liquid creamer (and yes, I realize that sounds like a horrifying prospect for some people, but not for me!) And then, right as you're getting cozy and comfortable, it's gone. I wore this on well-moisturized skin and I still could barely eke out two hours, and anything past the first forty-five minutes I practically had to smash my nose into my wrist to get a good whiff. Thank god I was able to get a sample, it's far too expensive for such little longevity.

  • em inglês

Dirt leaning opening, then I get a buttery caramel creamer as it dries down pretty linearly. It’s really a shame this doesn’t last longer, it’s one of the few gourmands that isn’t disgustingly synthetic on my skin after it dries down some. It reminds me of Demeter’s Butterscotch or Caramel, except Demeter is rather synthetic and equally fleeting, if not shorter lasting. Demeter also clings onto the dirt like quality longer, whereas this lets go of it before the scent completely fades.

  • em inglês

Very beautiful coffee gourmand. Vanilla, black coffee, some creamy notes, tiramisu cake...also like a foamy capuccino! I do smell it from a distance, but only for 1 hour. Then it remains as a skin scent for probably 2-3 hours. Too expensive for such short lived experience. Very beautiful though, but I already have a few bad guys with poor longevity that I love, this won't be one of them.

  • em inglês

I never thought I'd want to smell like a sweet cup of vanilla late with a side of Tiramisu. This fragrance is so lovely and sweet. I can't stop sniffing my arm after receiving the sample from LuckyScent. It's so real and edible.....SWEET SWEET SWEET I pick up the sugar, cappuccino, and caramel. To me this scent is cozy, playful, comforting, and did I mention, SWEET?

  • em inglês

To me, this smells 100% like Tiramisu. I get the cappuccino straight away. This opens with a burst of espresso to me, with a hit of cream and an almost chocolatey essence, closely followed by the caramel and buttery notes. I just wish that first blast of espresso lasted longer on my skin. Dries down to a pleasant, creamy, buttery vanilla, but fades quickly for me.

  • em inglês

Italian cafe with a plate of almond biscotti and cappuccino. Very almondy with undertones of vanilla, butter, chocolate and more. Very wearable and not too sweet. Soliani is a great perfumer and makes some really interesting that seem simple but have a lot of depth.

  • em inglês

It starts off with an Irish cream coffee scent and fades into sugary sweetness. I don't really get a photorealistic butter/croissant scent, but they're there in spirit. Unfortunately, it didn't last long but I enjoyed it while it was there!

  • em inglês

I don't experience any butter or lactonic notes. I'm getting almond extract, cherries, and cocoa powder. It's a beautiful scent but it doesn't match the notes listed at all. The longevity is so poor - maybe 30 minutes.

I adore this but it lasted just over an hour and when I asked my bf if he liked it he had to sniff 3 times to even get it. Wish it had just a little projection and longevity. Heartbreaking.

At this point I don't think we can call this a perfume per se. It's rather an encapsulated bakery. Reviewers below are spot on. A no for me lmao.

Tiramisu. Adorable, though short-lived. If you’re a coffee lover, this is one of the best coffee scents I’ve experienced.
