Coffee Addict

There are certain smells that you like to smell but you wouldn't necessarily wear. I used to think coffee was one of those. Boy was I wrong. This is the most realistic coffee perfume I have ever smelled, my brain was not convinced that I was smelling a perfume bottle and insisted that I had a cup of coffee in front of me. The initial spray is full of coffee with a dash of cacao but as the hours pass by; it slowly starts to mellow down into a creamy, caramel fragrance. Think about it like this; first you smell like an espresso and then you slowly start to transform into a latte, then some cacao beans are added, then caramel and vanilla syrup. The drydown is absolutely gorgeous and very gourmand, this will make you smell edible. I believe that this is truly unisex although it is really sweet. I am a big lover of coffee itself so might not be for everyone, those who appreciate it though will find themselves wrapped in a fragrance that develops into a warm, embracing smell. Longevity is absolutely fantastic, sillage as well. I could smell this on me after about 12 hours of applying it, so that should say enough. The quality of the juice in this is incredible for the price you're paying. This together with Theodoros Kalotinis Alluring Fig are the two most unique fragrances in my humble collection.

I've been on the ''I want to smell like coffee'' journey for a long time now, and I'm not saying I'll be dropping the anchors here, but atleast I'll be taking a gran escale. This smells like coffee, pure and bitter and aromatic and deep, warm like it's being brewed infront of you. I dont understand those saying it's too sweet, i wonder if they have found even more bitter coffee like smells, as this is the only one i've found that doesn't deteriorate into an iced vanilla latte an hour into wearing. It's very long wearing, and it might be just on me, but i find this fragrance to particularly stick well and pair with skin overtime, while i like the first sprit of it in the morning, usually it's in the later afternoon when I put my head into my hands during a boring lecture and smell what's rest of this fragrance that i love it the most. It doesn't go acidic on me, it leaves a stain (metaphorically speaking) of scent similar to walking into a coffee shop. Careful, not smelling the coffee directly, but it's proximity to you, and the depth and warmth of it mixing with the walls, the people, the air and the clothes. Like an aftermath and beforemath all at once. I can't explain it better, but it's the best true coffee scent i've found to this date. And so so layerable.

The opening is fresh roasted coffee with smooth caramel, sweet vanilla with the addition of a cacao/toffee note. A caramel latte grande-literally. After dry down, I think i note a subtle salt in the base, although salt it is not listed in the notes above, it gives it some depth. Although this sounds overly sweet, it is not, it's well balanced with the coffee dominating. It is warm inviting, interesting, unique, sooo lovable and just so FUN. It is absolutely ASTONISHING how realistic this fragrance is. My daughter, who is a barista at starbucks agrees, this is an amazing dupe of a real caramel latte. Performance was excellent I did not feel like I needed to reapply. Rating: 10/10. A coffee masterpiece IMO. Projection: 6/10; Silage: 6/10; Application: 5 atomizations; Performance: 10/10. Gender: Unisex; Ages: 21+; A fun daytime winter or fall fragrance. I have not tested in warm weather. Blind-Buy: YES, if you like coffee gourmands. In my humble opinion, Coffee Addict is the best fragrance that Theodoros Kalotinis has to offer, considering the scent, the price and the performance. All three aspects are top tier with Coffee Addict! As expected from the name, it’s a coffee dominant perfume, but sweetened with caramel and rounded up by vanilla and cacao pod. A bit more complex than just a coffee centric perfume, but so strong, rich, powerful and delicious. It’s a bitter roast coffee but it’s not a bitter smelling scent because caramel counterbalances with its sweetness that aspect. Vanilla and cacao gives it a strong gourmand feel and smooth nicely the composition. More of a cold weather perfume and perfectly unisex. To me it smells like how it’s smells inside those expensive, independently owned coffee shops. This is incredible! I have tried this scent in store, together with a couple more from the brand, and I let the store with a bottle of Coffee Addict. As a coffee drinker, this is a scent to accompany my slow, weekend mornings, when I’m enjoying peacefully my morning coffee. Highly recommend Coffee Addict, this is a true gem of a fragrance. I know it’s hyped, but it deserves even more praise!!!

I made an accojnt just to comment about this! As a huge huge coffee lover I was looking for a very realistic black dark coffee perfume. At the very first spray I was mind blown. It smells amazing, so so yummy. To be completely fair, it doesn't smell of black coffee to me, but very caramel-like, but a realistic caramel, almost like a yummy coffee with cream or something. And some liquor-vibes, but very very minimal, you can barely smell it, which is good for me. Ive had Khamrah Qahwa, but this is still way better. They really nailed it. I need to test it more to explore the coffee. I have just tested it on my skin, but after a few uses I will be back with more opinions. Amazing!!! Update 2 days later: Still amazing. People around me are definitely reacting positively to it. I've yet to hear something negative. Only heard one say "it smells so good, but why would anyone smell like coffee/caramel-like". Its definitely long lasting. sillage is beastly. You can 100% smell it up in the environment. Stays on clothes for a damn long time, over a day. Amazing at night and colder weather.
