New Sipario

Hilde Soliani New Sipario is seemingly a 2021 re-release of the original 2008 Sipario, which I’ve not tried. New Sipario is a mix of rum, coconut, pineapple, and vanilla, a sweet and fresh pina colada that’s an accurate, enjoyable recreation of the drink in fragrance. Most of the rum’s sharpness is in the opening, however, and the blend is a bit creamier in the dry down. It definitely has the vibe of a holiday, fittingly, fresh and not too heavy while still being a bit sweet and decant, and again, the sharp boozy rum accord does remain present in the dry down but is noticeably more pronounced in the opening minutes, so it seems like a fragrance that would be nice to reapply occasionally. To that point, its performance is decent but it’s not among the stronger fragrances I’ve tried from the line. Still, the line’s pricing is great, and New Sipario is the typical $160 for 100ml, sold via Luckyscent in the US. 7 out of 10

I bought this last year, when I saw it on Hilde's site. I have the original Sipario. I really hoped the NEW Sipario was stronger. Nope. In fact it's less sweet, weaker pineapple and coconut notes. It pales in comparison with the original. New Sipario is a lightly sweet boozy scent with barely an iota of faint faint pineapple, and almost no coconut detected. Sadly, the discontinued original Sipario is better. A LOT better.

If you’re looking for one dominant pineapple fragrance New Sipario should be on your short list. It’s a vacation in a bottle; creamy pineapple and coconut cocktail style goodness. Agree with EmmaSmells, New Sipario is very sweet. A carefree, summer scent.

You can smell the pineapple but it's not as strong as I would have liked, has a kind of minty smell/feel it's very refreshing but I don't think any of the notes are nearly as strong as they should be.

It's a pineapple fiesta for a few minutes, then settles to a creamy coconut. Nice for summer.

Very weak scent overall with poor sillage and even worse longevity. A strong boozy and weak muddy pineapple opening without a lot of clarity blows off almost immediately and turns into a vague weak soapy coconut scent with a plastic sunscreen note. I don't actively hate it, but it's not enjoyable. A stale hours old banana boat sunscreen application has more of a punch and packs more pina colada attitude. Very disappointing. 3/10

Pina colada tropical realness! The lactonic coconut cream base is divine. It’s too sweet for me to actually wear, but a fantastic creation all the same.

Smells like a piña colada that someone accidentally spilled some of a mojito into.

looking at the notes i thought id love this but im getting this hint of nuttiness/wood that throws it off for me
