Rosa d'Inverno

Super nostalgic, plastic doll head rose with a slightly lipsticky, grandma-ish vibe, in the most positive sense... like, if your grandma was the “cosmetics/fashion/perfume,”-type rather than the “baking cookies/knitting sweaters”-type, but still so very comforting. Every 3 out of 10 wears, I get a hint of something sharp and grapefruity. I like it a lot, even if it’s not something I reach for every day.

Glamorous, like pouring an entire $3 bottle of de la Cruz glicerina and rose water into your bathtub. Makes me think of how Marilyn Monroe smelled like medicinal soap

chemical paradise... i crave the juicy rose and chemically plastic every once in a while, and nothing else scratches this itch. If you find yourself loving every perfume that gets called “metallic,” this perfume will probably agree with you. Rosa D’Inverno feels MAGENTA to me and idek how else to explain it. I just know I come back to it over and over again. I get compliments, but mostly confused compliments— “Is it... Rose?”. A Hilde masterpiece— I’ve never been huge on gourmands, but I’ll always try hers. I think, though, that she excels most when it comes to these types of fragrances— confounding takes on classic notes. All in all, it’s so classically Hilde— a true delight. Brava, brava.

I don’t know if I got sent the wrong fragrance from scent split but this is horrid. I love rose, and I love the smell of plastic my latex notes. And this is more rose scented cleaning product, bug spray, rose fabuloso, extremely chemical in the way the burns the nostrils and warns you to open the windows in the room or you might die from chemical mixing. Don’t listen to the “smells like”. It doesn’t smell like Pink bedroom oil, Rose jam. No it doesn’t. It smells like the tubs under your sink but even less sweet.

Smells like a brand new Barbie doll and eternal roses bouquet. Gorgeous!
