Sale e Pepe

i bought a sample a year ago and i thought it was fine and good, but i just finished it off with a proper 5-6 spray wear and am now obsessed. like a love story where you realize you were in love with your stable reliable best friend the whole time. it's clean but peppery, sweet and salty, i don't know if a lover smelling this on my neck would be overcome with lust or anything but i could wear this every day during the day, to the beach, to class, running errands, to dinner.

i've spent today getting to know my sample... & oh my gosh!! this is beautiful! very light and airy, & almost a bit sweet. it's like being misted by the wind when you're near a body of water. the pepper is there, just not so prominent on me. very simple & would be enjoyable to layer with

Sampling Hilde Soliani – Sale e Pepe (“salt and pepper”), a straightforward blend of its main two concepts with a vaguely tangy, musky, and dare I say aquatic background, so it’s not quite as simply savory and spicy as salt and pepper. It’s naturally and pleasantly fresh while perhaps not being quite a mark for the name, even though I get some salt and pepper in it. It’s a bit mysterious in that respect, but overall, I like it, even though it’s not among the louder performers of the house. As with the rest of the line that’s available in the US, Sale e Pepe is EDP concentration and is sold exclusively at Luckyscent at $175 for 100ml, generally great pricing but a bit of a tough sell for this one that I think is okay but not too striking. 6 out of 10

I found this quite faint, airy, and non-descript. I could not detect the black pepper at all - only ozonic notes and salt.

This brought a smile to my face- this is exactly what it says it is! A sprinkle of salt, a few grinds of cracked black pepper. It sits wonderfully on my skin- like I gave myself some seasoning! It sits pretty close with light sillage but I think if someone smelled me, I wouldn't smell like dinner; instead, the lovely balance gives the right hint of cool saline beachiness combined with warming spice. Not sure if it's full bottle worthy but might be worth another sample or decant.

The exact scent of salty delicious skin; a new type of clean. Genderless and extra casual. So cliche and obvious to mention fresh air, skin saltiness, pepper with a tiny dash of lime juice... as if you could actually taste it. “Well why don’t you just rub lime, salt and pepper all over you, it’s the same thing” .... Why would anyone do that and be all sticky? This is so good, never imagined even caring for a scent like this.

This fragrance took me totally off guard. I absolutely adore it. It’s a fresh aquatic type fragrance but the pepper grounds it. The pepper is very subtle. Completely in the background. I mainly get salty and fresh. It’s something you could wear any day any time but I also think it would layer beautifully with a light floral fragrance. Definitely FB worthy!!

There is no other scent like this! It reminds me of being on the French Riviera in the blazing sun and sweating and having the time of my life! Best thing is there are no aquatic notes but I associate this with summer. Very subtle pepper notes and the tiniest squeeze of lemon that comes with your fizzy mineral water.

Whimsical, summery, and simple. Emerging from a salt water ocean and sitting down for a lunch break. Reminds me a lot of Profunum's Acqua di Sale and BDK's Sel d'Argent. Surprisingly strong performance!
