Tchai

A very pretty and delicate black tea / mate scent with enough tropical florals to sweeten it up and to my nose make it more feminine-leaning (anyone can wear it of course), so I was surprised to see this voted as "more male". I could have sworn there was ginger in here, perhaps because it reminds of a chai tea latte, but there isn't! I think it's the cardamom and sandalwood creating that effect on my nose. To me, this would be an ideal Autumnal scent, but it doesn't seem to project at all on my skin! I'll have to spend more time testing this but so far, while I love the scent unquestionably, I've fallen a bit more for Loon of the same house as that performs quite a bit better for me (and smells equally divine). Hima Jomo is a really interesting house with a beautiful aesthetic working with immensely talented perfumers, so I'd love to add something from this house to my collection. And all I've smelled from them are SO natural smelling.

Such a beautiful fragrance. Smells so natural. Also wonderful packaging and story for the brand. Woody and tea with light florals that are not overwhelming. Each of the notes blend so well with one another that it feels like one cohesive scent. Florals give an almost aromatic herbal quality. Not the best longevity or sillage and a bit pricey for 50 ml. But I bought a bottle and keep a small sprayer of it in my bag to refresh throughout the day.

A wonderful tea fragrance with a faint floral and soapy aspect to it. When i spray it on my arm initially, i can barely smell it up close, but i smell it in the air all around me for over an hour. Which leads me to believe it may be a victim of olfactory fatigue. After about an hour, the scent buble has drawn closer, but not to a skin scent at all. 3 sprays and 3 hours in, it's still coming of my arm enough to pick it up at at least an arms length, or in the air when there is movement in the air for any reason. It's fantastically clean, fresh and aromatic and every wiff i get is a joy. This is to me a spring, summer, and fall fragrance. I don't think it's got the power to stay alive in the coldest days. It's perfectly unisex, and wearable for any age. It has the slightest of sweetness to it, but is not at all sweet. Like adding a quarter of a sugarqube in your tea. This is a casual to semi formal fragrance. Perfect for a day out with friends, a date or work. It can absolutely be a summer evening scent as well, as it is slightly sexy. I'd swear i'm getting some musk as well. Longevity is about 5-6 hours with projection before dying of quickly to nothing. Pretty perfect for this kind of a scent. Personal score: 8/10. When my decant is used up, I'll be on the lookout for a discount bottle. A wonderful fragrance. Strongly recommended to sample.

Tchai reminds me of a cabin in the woods on a cold, rainy, cloudy, and windy autumn day when you're chilled to the bone, trying to warm up, but the wood’s too wet to start a fire. You sip tea for comfort, but even that’s a letdown because there’s no sugar left. It’s an earthy scent that captures a quiet acceptance of this moment.

This kind of smells like tea but not really. Like most tea scents, it doesn't smell like an open canister of dried tea leaves or the tea when it's made. Instead it has a light green planty note. Combined with citrus, a hint of resin wood, and flowers, this is a fresh and almost medicinal fragrance. Tchai does not smell like chai and instead feels like if came from Le Labo.

This is very soapy on me. Only after washing off can I smell some of the sandalwood. It smells like nice soap that leans masculine but I wouldn't wear it again because the different notes don't show up for me. This isn't a value judgment against those who like soapy perfumes, but I do think just actual soap would be a better bang for your buck here

wood and cardamom — was pleased that there was no milky or creamy element to this which i feel like always way overpowers tea gourmands. gets a little soapy after the first burst which is slightly disappointing but never becomes offensive

Very natural and photorealistic, but almost unwearable - at least what I think. It is very dusty, too dry. Tea is not refreshing, only strong. When violets cames to front, fragrance becomes more appealing and easy. Osmanthus and ylang-ylang are paired in gentle accord and sandalwood has a nice creaminess. But to be honest, I foud this perfume ordinary and it doesn't lasts long. Think twice before buying.

Devastated to report that this was not the chai perfume I'd been hoping for. Right off the bat, the bergamot and sandalwood and violet leaf dominate. I'd been expecting it to be more tea-forward and sweeter due to the osmanthus and yellow florals, but it was woody and aromatic from start to finish. My biggest heartbreak, however, was the cardamom note. Where was she??? After some time passed I was surprised by how soapy/laundry detergent it seemed to get. The aromatic woodsy qualities remained, which was interesting, but I definitely wouldn't describe this as ozonic or aquatic. It's not a bad scent, but it was a disappointment on a handful of levels, but primarily due to the missing black tea and cardamom notes. The perfume is called Tchai for god's sake and is supposed to evoke tea farms in Darjeeling... how did it miss the mark so significantly?

Starts with a beautiful, challenging burst of realistic black tea, but it disappears in ten seconds. After that it is a pleasant sandalwood scent.

Soapy-spicy, primarily spicy. If cardamom is in a perfume I almost only smell cardamom
