Oud Zayed

Freshly cut mountain woods, Warm Cashmere Shawl and pure addiction. One thing I always admire about Hind Al Oud is how beautifully they handle accords like patchouli, vetiver, and cashmere. In Oud Zayed, it’s the cashmere accord that truly steals the show. It feels like a king in a grand palace during winter, wrapped in a soft cashmere shawl while sandalwood quietly burns in the background. The scent is smooth and effortlessly luxurious.The oud remains refined due to cashmere note and becomes not very clean in the dry down. It reminds me of freshly cut wood, and folded towels of a luxury hotel.I usually wear fragrances on skin, but this is one I’d rather wear on fabric because it smells like a luxurious brand new fabric. A hidden gem often overshadowed by other extraits in the league,You’ll catch yourself smelling it even when you’re not wearing it, it’s that addictive. Easily one of my top five Hind Al Oud fragrances. In the drydown, the oud reveals a slight animalic edge with a sweet ache that reminds me of the oud in Salamet Al Teeb. There’s even a faint touch of gun oil or metallic barrels, my father used to clean his rifle.

The fragrance behaved on my skin to my sense of smell, opening with citrus notes of bergamot and a sharp lemon in a very realistic and present highlight in the fragrance, blending with a glanders, aromatic spicy accord of clove with nutmeg and I think something like a basil or rosemary too. But soon it heads to a floral center dominated by a greenish jasmine, a slight rosacean touch of geranium and an accentuated footprint of lavender cleanliness reminiscent of that smell of steam that rises from a white shirt being ironed, and an icy green terpene nuance reminiscent of eucalyptus blends perfectly with this metallic floral bouquet. And deepening into a Chypre base with a generous vanilla-amber charge of coumarin beans bringing a delicious and dominant ambery accord in this composition, this golden amber sweetness is what further enhances this luxurious and refined aroma. A musky hug, powdery, warm, clean and comfortable merges with the fuzzy roughness of cashmere with that feeling of a warm, enveloping shawl, bringing a sophisticated elegance to the fragrance. Just a slight hint of a lightly medicinal woody clean 'oud anchors the composition in a woody sophisticated and luxurious depth. Excellent quality perfume, very pleasant to wear and zero challenging.

Smells like high end fabric. smooth, clean, slightly sweet, and quietly luxurious. Woody at the core, with soft powdery musk and a light honey-like warmth in the background. The oud sits low in the base. Very refined, no dirty or fecal touches at all, and it turns woodier and drier as it settles on skin. It reminds me of those luxury hotel lobbies where everything looks polished and expensive ,neatly folded towels, clean marbles and freshly cutted wood furniture.
