Voyage 2019

Okay so Voyage from Hiram Green is striking in the same way that everything from Hiram is, the natural beauty immediately apparent. To me the florals are vivid in the opening but this is far from a floral fragrance. It smells faintly of a fruity, honey tinted tuberose/jasmine but lacking the power or character of either but somehow still evoking them, and that’s a positive for me don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to mislead tuberose lovers this is not that not is it even a floral centric fragrance because even in the opening I perceived what I felt was tonka be an absolute, clear as day. It’s not listed on here (not that it means anything Fragrantica is about as accurate as Nostradamus sometimes) but vanilla is and I have to say when everything else has gone after many ours it smells like the most gorgeous and simplistic vanilla note. Before that though it’s a dirty vanilla which I think is likely very high quality natural vanilla bolstered with isolated coumarin or indeed tonka absolute. It’s gorgeous and feels in its use here like the real warm base of a fougere allowing the greener notes or in this case a floral, amber oriental notes to shine through but act in a more transient nature. I love it, I don’t know what the original voyage was like but this one is pretty special I’d say.

Many many notes not listed. This is not aquatic or weak like a lotus. No citrus. No vanilla and not only amber. This is a floral for sure. Honeycomb, neroli/orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine. So pretty. Powerful in the opening and becomes subdued in the drydown, powdery with a little of the powdery saffron and cardamon peeking out but not spicy floriental like an opium or obsession. No cinnamon as others mention. Sweet. Like a honeybee trapped in amber. Somewhat boozy in the drydown with some saffron and cardamon peeking out. Maybe some mint in here that causes the skin to be a little fresh. Oh so beautiful. Mr. Green, I love everything you create. Swoon.

To me this smells like a more polite, quiet, way less leathery, sweeter, creamier version of Shalimar. As it dries down, it gets sweeter. Since I LOVE Shalimar, i do love this. PD: I am comparing it to the Shalimar EDP in the older uglier bottle, which i guess is more potent than the actual version

My favourite perfume in 2020!! I've ordered a sample after I became interested in Lotus in perfumery. When I received it, OMG, it blew my mind away like anything else. Very nostalgic, in a wonderful way, creamy, not cloying, just warming. Thank you, Mr Hiram Green, for creating this.

Wonderful scent! Very Hippie like, first impression is Indian shop, incense. Very warm and cozy scent. Can't feel the citrus at all. This one is sweeter in a discreetly nice way with Lotus cinnamon and honey closest.

A beautiful floral ambery scent dipped in gorgeous vanilla scent.. Such a gem to have on collection...

Ok not what I was expecting at all! This is a honeyed, powdery, almost vintage style amber. I also get bohemian vibes, incense sticks and hippie patch, a bit like when you walk into the store selling tie dye shirts incense sticks and various wooden carved statues. I get a little spice too maybe cinnamon, although I've been smelling that in everything lately (might be my skin!) I really like it, if you like classic ambers, Shalimar as someone stated below you will enjoy this. That lotus note is lost on me but then again that note always is - can never pick it out! Touch citrussy but that is a little lost also, I get mostly honeyed creamy bohemian and a little vintage amber and vanilla. (And the potentially non existent cinnamon which may be another sample from few days ago...) Edit: wow I just read other reviews - glad It's not just me smelling cinnamon and hippie store vibes!

Yummy! Spicy, oriental opening, then I smell the honey smell from Slowdive, Tonka from Arbole, and the deep sweet floral from moon bloom all blended in a Guerlain(ish) vein, merging with that dry almost yeasty vanilla. I get the honey and beeswax, spices and coumarin, all the way down. I don't recognize the lotus here, at least it doesn't resemble that note I'm familiar with. This feels like a jazzy improv voyage around a few of the other perfumes from this line, in the very best way. Lovers of Shalimar should try Voyage 2019.

OMG, the opening is soooooo strong. It opens with a blast of spices, old school masculine and changes immediately into what seems to be an amber floral. Then a medicinal note appears which thankfully disappears almost as quickly as it arrives. It's extremely unusual but in a wearable way. It is really hard to describe and almost easier to describe what it isn't: It isn't a floral but it definitely has floral notes, it isn't an oriental but there is some amber in it, it isn't girly but a girl could wear it, it isn't masculine but I'm guessing it would smell great on a man. For some people this will absolutely be a signature scent. My reviews tend to be absolute, concrete and short. This is the exception, just like the perfume.

I received a tester of this and, though I would not purchase a full bottle, it really is a very well-crafted scent. The top notes, to me, smell like flintstone's chewable vitamins: I'm guessing these are the citrus notes. Once you get into the heart notes, this becomes a clear, fruity floral, almost rosy but more like tropical fruit. Maybe coconut? The base notes must contain more than amber and vanilla notes; it smells spicy to me. I sense some cinnamon cardamom and clove. I would describe this as a floral oriental. Really quite impressive and beautiful (if not my taste).

Beautifully blended and quite long lasting (I sprayed 3 times and would admit that it was a bit strong). It has the old world smell that I associate with older fancy women without the grandma-ness that usually comes with scents like those. I wouldn't buy a whole bottle (which I figured I might based on the notes before getting the sample) but it is quite lovely & worth a try!

I could swear I smell cinnamon in this. The opening is strong - sweet and oriental. I definitely agree with the reviewers below, the lotus note here is far from Kenzo - it's not watery at all and it gives this creation an oriental flowery edge. The cinnamon note appears in the heart, as lotus subsides. It dries down to a sweet, mellow, comforting amber note.

I swear this smells like honey! Smells very classic and retro - I love it. Very ambery and slightly smoky... leaning Shalimar. Just without the citruses.

Is anyone willing to do samples or decants of this? I'm very curious but afraid to take the plunge!
