7753 Unexpected Mona

I have this perfume in 15 ml size. It lasts about 9 hours and with a medium intensity. The presentation of the box and the bottle follows what the line is, which look like books and you can collect them. The output of this perfume is of green and fresh aromas, when the citrus dries we start to note the spices, the green notes also decrease in intensity over time and the floral notes make an appearance. It is composed of floral notes with personality, that heliotrope and tuberose make a tremendously interesting set. A green, floral, woody perfume ... but with a lot of personality thanks to the many different shades that make it up. It is also a perfume of evolution, it has many changes of aromas as time goes by. Unisex? Completely, it is a type of scents that has all aspects, a delicious floral set that women will like very much. Herbal notes are more for personal taste, both male and female, and a spicy and sandalwood load that although delicate can be of good taste for men. So this perfume is completely unisex and will depend on personal taste. This perfume is not to buy or give away blindly unless you know the aromas that compose it well, what I see as most decisive when deciding on it, is the green and floral part. Green aromas are not liked by everyone and although they dissipate over time it is important to take them into account. And the important floral part is in the tuberose and the heliotrope, for me they are beautiful flowers but with an important personality and qualities, I know perfectly that not everyone likes them, so you should only take into account if you like them or not. time to buy this perfume.

Notes on the bottle itself differ from the ones on fragrantica: Top: Bergamote, Lierre, Ma Khaen baies Heart: Tubereuse, Figue de Baarbarie, Heliotrope Base: Vetiver, Santal, Mousse de Chene Summer test. Enchanting fairy green freshy that is divine for a humid hot summer. I was prepared to put put some work into understanding 7753 as I have to with all the green scents, but that was not nesessary, it was love at first wearing. The ivy greenness is tender and aromatic, slightly aquatic sandalwood adds some wetness to it and gives off a cucumber fresh vibe. I have nothing in my collection to compare to this directly, but some referencies are possible. Compared to 7753 Amouage Bracken is an angry wild beast, Herba fresca by Guerlain is a bouquet of dried herbs slapped across the face. Ivyme from Hermetica would probably be the closest description, minus the aquatic sandalwood. Love the minimalistic practical bottle with the name and the notes on the side, like a book on a shelf.

Honestly I'm impressed by HdP's creations: everything I try I love. I really want to collect all the perfumes. 7753 is so gorgeous. it's so refreshingly green and to me it also has dark purple enigma. This perfume lingers on me bring cozy and at the same time polished feeling. It's voluptuous and seductive yet sharp and elegant. I think wearing 7753 brings sophisticated feeling, like wearing elegant fancy suit. I can wear it all day long for any occasion. I'm deeply in love. definitely this is unisex which makes it even more magical, I would love it to sniff it from my man. 7753 brings you to the gardens after the rain, you can breath this humid grass with flowers all together, you want to tuck your coat a little. Bought this about 3+ years ago from the main Histoires de Parfums boutique near Le Marais in Paris and my initial impression upon 3 sprays to each forearm wasn't terribly optimistic but a couple hours in, I realized that I actually quite liked it. In fact after several full proper wears, I liked it very much. I think that might be because it doesn't really remind me of any other fragrance. Although there are several very subtle similarities to others at times throughout it's development it still manages to maintain a very unique overall fragrance experience. A little bit grassy-green at times which I quite enjoy and the florals come and go before settling in for there full dry-down and I really enjoy those also. This fragrance has really grown on me to become a spring/summer/autumn fave. Despite being a bit of an impulse purchase it has turned out "Unexpectedly" wonderful.

My husband blind bought this for me .This is my first from Histoires de Parfum. Unexpected Mona is fresh,woody,and the flower is hidden between them. It's mysterious and alluring, draws you to turn head and get near.the Tuberose, White flowers and Heliotrope are not overpowering, and in the dry down the fresh notes is still there, it's not citrusy fresh,it's a soapy green fresh.it leans feminine but men still can pull this off.if you like fresh flowery woody type of scent this one might be for you. Unexpected Mona is definitely beautiful and unique for me.Love it

This is really wonderful and complex! Off the bat and without looking at the notes I get woody, spicy, soft florarls and as soon as it settles on the skin a very delicate powdery veil. Very classy! Looking at he pyramid now: it's really hard for me to discern the citruces on here, so well blended, just enough to give it a "lift" of freshness. Edit' I ended up getting a full 60ml bottle after an extensive test. Very unusual but in a most wearable kind of way, evrn everyday wear I'd say.

This one is very elusive, just like the bespoke Mona Lisa. Some days it just doesn't work with my chemistry and other days it's simply divine. So unusual yet approachable and pleasant. It does have fougere tendencies but sometimes it's more fruity and "yellow"/sunny than green. It's fresh but also slightly sweet, soft and powdery. Beautiful and unique

A beautiful and abstract perfume that has an enormous calming quality on me. I like to wear this when I feel overwhelmed or exhausted, because somehow it grounds and comforts immensely. If I had to make a connection to the Mona Lisa I'd say it's a tribute to the cool shade of the green mountains behind her rather than to La Giaconda herself.

Wow!!!! This is [email protected] !! You need to love tuberose and vetiver to really appreciate this one. I find that Histoires de Parfums offers are usually dated, but not this one. Light tuberose, creamy cocooing vetiver. Some green notes... I need a bottle!!

This is indeed unexpected. So fresh but with good longevity! It reminded me of “you or someone like you” with its freshness, but this one is much better. Smells like menthol with peonies to me, really beautiful. Perfect for day time wear in spring or summer.

Tuberose and green yellow notes. Very solar, very creamy, milky even, although vegetal. It reminds me of Amarige in the drydown. Leans more feminine. Very beautiful, very inspiring and quite sensual.

Oh, I love this. It reminds me of a foggy, drizzly, cold morning in the PNW where everything around you is fresh and green. I cannot stop sniffing my wrists when I have this on.

Tuberose, orange blossom and green notes..ever so slightly sweet, moderately lasting..I have a huge 4 oz bottle. I like this, but it's not my favorite from this perfume house. It lasts much longer on clothes than skin. My initial impression was much more favorable than my recent revisit. It smells like so many orange blossom scents..on me. Even on my clothes, orange blossom and green notes ..very nice, but not for the money. Some claim they smell Oud in it...I can promise you there isn't any. This does lean feminine.. EDIT- SO over year later, 2025, and ...where did the orange blossom go?? It's had time to macerate and NOW it's a dry tuberose with tons of greens .herbal, mossy and fresh, with a clean woodiness in the drydown. The bergamot also shines. What a difference! So much nicer than it used to be. Can't stop smelling my wrist..

Very clean, deep, yet complex fresh and woody opening and thought for sure this had a touch of oud in it. You get the sense of green and brighter notes floating on top of a oudy or vetiver base throughout the day while elements of dark spice like pepper perk up once in a while. Looking at the notes now I'm surprised there's no touch of oud, and while almost every note to me is recognizable (some taking a bit more concentration to pull out) I'm a bit lost on the pear, even when comparing it to a few other pear forward fragrances I have at hand. It's far more woody, green, deep, but with a spicy clean top that keeps it intriguing. Very nice. Great longevity. Initial strong projection, calming to moderate for most of the day. I see this a unisex given it's woody and spicy elements.

Wow! A gorgeous, green, lightly spicy, fresh and non-sweet tuberose, perfect for summer days. Tuberose I love, but is often done in a very heavy, bombastic way that makes it difficult to wear on hot summer days or in more formal, office-type occasions. This one on paper and on skin is very classy, restrained, enigmatic. Reminds me of the style of tuberose in Twilly d'Hermes. Lovely - very clean and chic. Polarity - Slightly more feminine IMO Projection - Soft to moderate Longevity - Average

Decided to test this out mostly bc the concept of the fragrance appealed to me, completely prepared to be disappointed by the actual smell of it, but I really enjoy it. Green, soapy, floral and woody - the tuberose especially present to my nose alongside the note of ivy. I get that they're playing with contrasts as inspiration from the Mona Lisa, but a green fragrance still feels like an odd choice. I do really like it though, so no complaints here.

Greenness and citrus bitters. I have another perfume with the ivy in it, and I think I recognise that scent as being predominant in this. Pepper, galbanum and vetiver all make sense. I don’t smell any floralcy in this. The Oriental Floral classification does not fit: it’s not warm or sensual at all. Lasts well both on skin and clothes. Truly unisex.

For green floral fragrance, perfect for spring. 100% unisex, the sillage and longevity are excellent. I can smell Ivy, vetiver, oak-moss and a touch of tuberose. It is a fresh perfume. I do not understand the "Mona Lisa" picture with this scent, it is not vintage and not so feminine... Maybe because this scent is timeless? Yes, probably. 8/10

As a Mona myself, I wanted to be able to love it, but the huge amount of ivy killed it. It is only a "like". Yet to find the perfect weather for it, because it seems to be too much for any season. Ivy is the creepiest green, suffocating Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain.

This is different. Nice different. I get green and earth notes, maybe a little bitter citrus. Almost fougere like but not really. No real floral notes to speak of but they may come out later. I would consider this unisex leaning masculine. I could wear this for sure.

7.5/10 Soapy, green tuberose with the deeper, more aquatic smell of heliotrope. This one I could see being a crowd-pleaser as it doesn't stray into unfamiliar territory. The fresh scent of a glade - perfect for spring

Green tuberose. Not my genre but beautifully done. There is a rolling complexity that, like Mona Lisa's smile, shifts just before you think you have it pegged.

One of the most complex fragrances I've tried so far! 7753 is really unexpected - at least if you take a look at the pyramid. This is probably due to the fact that it's very well blended. It has a certain sharpness, woody and green at the same time. It brings out a memory of a cabin we had up in the mountains, where I would go for the summer holidays. It may have been a fragrance my grandfather wore at the time... I don't like it, but I'm totally impressed!

This may be the 5th chance I'm giving to Mona and I still don't know what I've been thinking asking for it, out of all the other amazing options. It's a No. No use... it's not gonna get any more pleasing. I did want an updated Eden. And yes, I am getting the respective resemblance when sniffing it closely. But overall it's more like the suffocatingly over-polenated Amarige, with its irritating radiance... the annoyingly yellow mimosa puff, listed or not. I love many "old" perfumy perfumes. The dreaded EDP No 5 is easily my coziest and least demanding pick. But this I can't. It feels way too dated, even for my tastes. Yellow flowers and the screechy kind of tuberose, and that tenacious choking pollen, which could trigger springtime allergies. Oh, shut up, Mona!

So soap~ Many soaps~ There’s a kind of a traditionally masculine leaning freshly laundered dress shirt aspect that I normally associate with Neroli (similar to Jardin d’Almafi) and a lot of greenery. I love the concept, customer service and pricing of Histoires but I’m starting to think there’s just something in them that doesn’t work with my chemistry and/or I’m anosmic to~ I don’t seem to be experiencing everything I’m supposed to on the fragrances I’ve tried~ (Also zero tuberose on me)

Crowd pleaser soapy cheap perfume with high price. It smells very sintetic and it reminds of perfumes from 90' from Oriflame. At that time they were all what you could get where I live. But it lasts a lot longer though.

The greenness is intoxicating and it overpowers the rest of the notes (on my skin). Without it, it would’ve been a beautiful, clean, refreshing tuberose.

Grass. I'd rather mow that and experience that smell for a while than spend £105 on 60ml of this fragrance

Tuberose is a note usually hard to disguise and I must start saying that has a huge presence in 7753, being noticeable from the very beginning until the scent fades out... the tuberose takes the center of 7753 as an analogy of the smile of Mona Lisa in Leonardo’s masterpiece. And what about the enigma? Well, 7753 is also a perfume with certain complexity which maybe intends to recall the composition and technique of the painting itself: its famed sfumato. The opening is green, dewy and a bit powdery: galbanum, ivy and heliotrope along with tuberose are the responsibles. This lush opening slowly starts to fade: green notes calm down and heliotrope dissolves into a fruity accord of pear and cassis, quite juicy also, maybe with some kind of citric. This juiciness also ends receding, giving way to the base notes, darker and more masculine but that in my opinion are not able to overshadow the everlasting flower. From an artistic point of view 7753 is an ambitious project due to the chosen referent but in my opinion pays too much tribute to tuberose (you really have to like tuberose to fully appreciate 7753) instead of blurring it further with the interesting concept in the background. There is no much more enigma.

Smells like a feminine version of Green Irish Tweed. By feminine, I mean floral as this could be unisex (though it does lean feminine). For those who haven't smelled GIT: 7753 is a fresh, green floral/woody fragrance. In the best way possible, there's not much warmth here. It's soft and bracing at the same time. Think of a sunny, cool, dewy spring morning with a forecast of 80F for the late afternoon. That exact spring morning is the vibe of 7753. Weirdly specific? Yes. Accurate? Very. Moderate sillage and good longevity. If the notes and description sound good to you, it's probably a safe blind buy.

My first impression was it is slightly similar to David Beckham (and Victoria) Signature for her (on paper it totally was, the white florals conquered it) but tryin it on my skin I still keep up with that however only heliotrope and pachuli seem to be common in the notes. What makes this much more complex and really outstanding and also quite unisex is the clean and woody drydown that is somehow sprakling... that reminds me of incense but it is not listed, maybe it is vetiver that has this clean effect, but the fragrance is very well blended so it is hard to tell the notes apart.

This is so lovely! The top notes create a very peppery, spicy opening (with a slight tinge of almost vegetal bitterness) which dries down quite quickly into a very cool, clean white floral scent that doesn't compromise on depth at all. The longevity is also great. I often dislike vetiver notes, but this one really works for me. I find myself habitually sniffing my own wrists whenever I wear this-- perfect for warm weather.

Unexpectedly .. a fougere. It's floral in the beginning with fruity touches and more hints of galbanum but all in all this is a solid fougere. Very vegetal and mossy. This is the farthest from being an Oriental in its usual connotation. This reminds me of De Profundis in many ways and also Paloma Picasso For the price I really prefer Noir Patchouli and Hemingway 1899.

I blind bought a bottle of this and I'm so glad I did. To me I smell the heliotrope and tuberose, with a lovely twist of fresh sparkling pear and a lush base of vetiver and patchouli. It's earthy but also effervescent, complex and interesting but also incredibly wearable.

Beautiful scent, very similar to Lalique Lalique,but Les powdery and more fresh. This is my president,to my self for international women's day. Performance is great, This is fragrance for all sessions, anytime,anywhere.Perfect and very easy to wear.

Citrusy green opening that turns more and more creamy and becomes a subtle floral scent that's not outwardly tuberose. Mediocre performance

Tried it couple of times. And each time it feels a bit syntetic for my nose. Long lasting.

A mild version of TF Soleil Brulant! It's nice
