Spanish Carnation

This honestly might be my favorite of the bunch that I bought and a contender for my favorite fragrance so far, but for a different reason than my other favorites. This, unlike the other fragrances, feels like it punches you with its scent. It is a soft cushion of a punch, but it is a punch nevertheless. This is so ridiculously sweet and faintly floral with a back-end of starch that it transports you to some place that I don't feel like I've been in before. This is just really impressive and left a big ass smile on my face when I smelled it for the first time. I'm probably going to wear this today and see how I like it. EDIT: I think my one problem with wearing this is that it doesn't last longer. It's still an extremely pleasant thing to smell on me all day, but it's not noticeable after a few hours.

#634 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is unique. I love carnation as a note. It has never occurred to me that corn would be a fragrance note, and frankly I'm not sure how I feel about a fragrance that makes me desperate for a plate of cornbread. But this really smells great, not too floral for the guys, solidly unisex, good performance, versatile, no one will be offended by this, a little pricey at $130 an ounce, and I think anyone that smells this will want to eat, like right now. I was mulling over whether this is worth the money for me to wear (probably), but a girlfriend has now sampled it and definitely wants it, so I'm a buyer on this one. Update: I bought it, and happily a beautiful friend has claimed it for her own. It'll work better for her than me.

I expected this to smell much more feminine, but was very pleasantly surprised that it smells unisex. This was a beautiful fragrance, opening with a sweet corn scent mixed with a sort of powdery carnation note shining through. It dries down to a very vanilla-heavy amber with just a touch of floral notes and musk. Great longevity and really unique smelling! This line is really impressive, and I hope to see more releases by History! Absolutely will pick up a bottle at some point, it's very addicting and alluring.

This one was love at first sniff for me. Sweet suede with carnation. So smooth. The carnation note is very nice. Some have compared this to Rosendo Mateu No 5. I have compared the two and prefer this one. They say the difference is the sweet corn off the top and none of the rubbery smell people have complained about. I think the sweet corn is unique and makes it nice.

Received sample from MaxAroma. At first I find it a bit strong for me on first spray. But the magic happens in the dry down. Omg!!!! Smells delicious and sooo smooth! Full bottle worthy. I own Swiss Praline from this house and I love that fragrance.
