Chic Socialite

H&M actually suprised me with this velvety candy scent. It's like oriana and ldbs had a baby. Don't expect long sillage and longivety, but the fragrance itself is outstanding for it's price. Much value for your money. A fresher ldbs.

I LOVE this! A cheepie worth buying definately! A sweet cottoncandy marshmallow fragrance with a hint of Lemon and sweet nightblooming honeysuckle.

I love this. I reach for this very ofter. It smells like LDBD, which I also love.

Chic Socialite opens with the familiar H&M scent - alcohol. Once that settles, it becomes a light, girlish floral with a noticeable orange blossom impression; sweet, clean, youthful and pretty, though synthetic. It has a delicate, synthetic charm: not expensive-smelling, but pleasant in a harmless, lace-skirt-and-pearls sort of way. I picture a very sweet 17-year-old girl with a soft voice and perfect manners. She is a young girl at brunch who orders something with whipped cream and somehow still looks thin. Innocent, feminine, and easy to like, even if it does not quite have the depth. After an hour it does have a sharp soapy scent for a while. Projection is modest and longevity is around two hours on me. It is more of a daily companion, office-safe and unlikely to offend anyone. Chic Socialite is polite and slightly artificial. Do I like her? Yes. Do I love her? No. She is charming, but forgettable.

This smells to me like a very flat My Way, a little like la Rive her choice. And although I really want to like it, it just stings in my nose. There is some sort of very stingy uppernote that just dominates the scent, and makes my nose run (My way gives me a headache), I think those who can tolerate and like My Way will like this. The bottle is very cute, so for the price you get a nice little item to show off! Update: After 3 weeks the stingy top-note has settled down a little, and some of the marshmallow and vanilla is coming through. Its a lot more pleasant now, but I still find it smelling a little synthetic.
