Darker Shades of Orgsm

This is one of my favorite fragrances from HMNS and, in my opinion, the best flanker in the Orgsm line. What makes it stand out is how perfectly unisex it feels. It retains the sweetness that defines the Orgsm DNA, but without becoming overly sweet like Orgsm Melting Temptation, which I personally find a bit too sugary. Compared to the original Orgsm, which can sometimes feel more feminine or even slightly juvenile, Darker Shades of O feels much more balanced and mature. The fragrance still features a rich and prominent vanilla accord, but it is beautifully balanced by woody notes such as cedarwood and vetiver. These darker, earthier elements give the fragrance a more sophisticated character and keep it from feeling overly gourmand. This was one of my most worn nighttime fragrances throughout 2024, and even now, with my tastes having evolved significantly, I still appreciate it. Part of that appreciation may come from the memories attached to it, but I also genuinely think it remains a very well blended scent. In some ways, it reminds me slightly of YSL Black Opium. Both fragrances share a combination of prominent vanilla, orange blossom, and woody undertones. The difference is that Black Opium is heavily centered around its coffee note, whereas Darker Shades of O replaces that aspect with caramel. The caramel adds a richer, stickier sweetness to the overall scent. I'm generally quite picky when it comes to sweet or vanilla dominant fragrances, and I wouldn't consider myself a gourmand lover. Yet somehow, I find myself consistently enjoying this scent. One reason might be that I can detect a subtle white floral nuance beneath the sweetness. At first, I assumed it was jasmine, but after checking the official note breakdown, I found that only orange blossom is listed. Even so, I still perceive something jasmine like in the composition. The heavier notes particularly patchouli, vetiver, and cedarwood play an important role here. They prevent the fragrance from becoming excessively gourmand and help maintain a balance between sweetness and depth. The result is a scent that feels sensual, mature, and genuinely unisex. This is the kind of fragrance I would happily wear for a date night, an evening out, or a dinner setting where you want something warm and inviting without being overwhelming. Performance is moderate for a vanilla based fragrance. On my skin, it lasts around 5 to 6 hours, while on clothes it can easily reach 7 8 hours. It's not a beast-mode performer, but it projects enough to make its presence known without becoming intrusive. Overall, this is one of those fragrances where the concept, presentation, and scent profile all align surprisingly well. Despite not being a fan of the name itself, I have to admit that Darker Shades of O successfully captures the sensual and seductive atmosphere that its branding is trying to convey. Even the bottle design and color scheme feel perfectly matched to the fragrance inside. 8.8/10

A fragrance that is so complex. Warm, cozy, and sweet, that's the scent of this perfume that I caught. The scent also reminds me of the Psychdelic love by Initio. Spl is Monster, sillage moderate to strong. Projection around 3 hours . Longevity 8 hours .

Summary : love the scent but kinda disappointed on the performance Been using this as my signature for nights and dates, 10/10 for the scent, but the performance is not so good, from SPL/Sillage and projection. this fragrance doesnt really give me compliments at all, except for very close "intimate" moments. wished that the performance is as good as other HMNS fragrance. overall 7/10 but ill still use it coz im in love with the scent

You know the first impression about this perfume is just fine, though the first spray from this perfume is maybe not mass pleasing, and you may use it only for night either winter, because it is kinda sweet you know, not many people like a sweet in the morning, idk what to say anymore but yeah it is a nice perfume, but hey let me know if you have a suggest about any perfume, I want to gather some information. 👍
