Festival Nite For Her

Festival Nite is a love for me, and I think the perfect fruity, gourmandy vanilla that I was searching for. If you sniff the cap it almost smells like grape bubblegum or something equally concerning, but don't be alarmed. It doesn't smell like that when you're wearing it. Aside from the very initial top, the middle of this gives me such a similar feeling to Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Crush (the SDJ body spray, not so much the EDP) that I almost can't uncouple the two in my mind! They aren't dupes by any means; for example this fragrance doesn't have the saltiness that SDJ has. But alike nonetheless. Actually to be even more accurate, this smells a lot like Tree Hut's Tropic Glow line, which is essentially their budget interpretation of SDJ's fragrance (and is not dead-on to SDJ) Some fragrances are really linear and the first 5 minutes smells just like 5 hours later; this isn't one of those. I have an 'old' spray on one arm and a brand new spray on the other to compare. The bottle is perfect because this is totally a purple smell. The top is a really juicy sour berry not unlike Midnight Fantasy notes. Mouthwatering but doesn't stay that way, which isn't a bad thing because it gets even better after that. Over time the juicy fruits fall off and the vanilla marshmallow starts to dominate. Just enough florals to balance it but nothing sharp knocking you in the face. Youthful, but not at all veering into preteen screechy celeb fragrance. I love young frags and celeb frags, but I hate when they're so sharp they make your head hurt (e.g. Viva La Juicy, at least for me). This is so creamy and comforting. Good lord, what a bargain jackpot. 💕💜

Longevity: moderate-long lasting Projection: moderate-strong Price Value: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I paid 20$ on fragrancenet for a 50ml. Would definitely repurchase. Thoughts: One of my favourite blind buys of all time!! Seriously the creamiest and richest marshmallow in the world. Projection is moderate-strong. Starts out strong and then dries down a little closer to the skin- which I don’t mind because it could be a bit overpowering if it was extremely strong. Longevity is moderate-long: lasts about 6-7 hours on my skin. Seriously makes me so happy and comforted everyttime I smell it. Powdery but extremely silky and creamy marshmallow. The base notes are pretty much all I get from this: an overdose of creamy marshmallow, lots of warm and rich vanilla and some amber to give it a sexiness. I love this perfume and I feel like its seriously underrated. It reminds me of Ari by Ariana grande but way better performing and a much creamier marshmallow. This is absolutely gorgeous. Well blended. Extremely great value for the money. Bottle is ok- you have to twist the cap to reveal the sprayer which was interesting. Overall- I’m extremely impressed and would recommend this to anyone who loves marshmallow. Its not really a powdery marshmallow though-more creamy and silky. I want to say its more gourmand but its not a heavy gourmand. Its still light enough to be worn during the day and definitely not headache-inducing.

I agree with another reviewer that it pretty much smells about 95% similar to Tree Hut's Tropic Glow line but a little sweeter with the marshmallow and a bit fruitier due to the black currant note. So with that being said - it shares some similarities to Sol de Janeiro's Cheirosa 62 but without the caramel. Very amber, black currant, vanilla forward (can't say I detect much coconut.) Versatile as it can be worn all year round, day or night, concerts or a date. I can see guys really liking this on a woman as there is a hint of sexiness to it as well. Quite different for a Hollister fragrance if you're used to Hollister circa Y2K with the likes of Malaia. But it still ever-so-slightly carries that signature soft spicy scent in the background. Performance is actually pretty good - I'd say moderate to mildly long lasting. Crowd pleasing and a very safe blind buy. **UPDATE: 04/22/24** So this went from a "like" to a "love" for me. I'm not sure if it's my sense of smell that has changed or if it just had proper time to "macerate" but this smells incredible to me now. I can actually smell the creamy coconut in the drydown whereas it was pretty undetectable to me before. This fragrance is just the right amount of bright, fun, fruity, sexy and creamy whilst still being wearable in hot weather. Love, love, love it 💜

Hollister Festival Nite was a blind buy and big like at first sniff. I wouldn’t say it’s straight away love, because there is some kind of scratchy spicy note in it. I'm sure it's freesia. But the aroma itself is so well tailored that you get used to it literally right away. So if you don't mind a little spice in your cake, then this flavor is just the thing! Unobtrusive and light as long as you don't overspray. Tasty, but not edible (well, who wants to literally smell like food?) Quite long-lasting, lasts longer on clothes, doesn’t get boring, you can catch whiffs of the sillage throughout the entire time. Men like it very much (if you are interested in this) :) Personally, I don’t really associate it with a summer night party, for me it's Autumn, Winter, and I would rather wear it to a family Christmas dinner, on a date, and to sit by the fireplace with my sgnificant other. Cosy, warm, definitely not headache inducing, and quite addictive. Great effects, I would not even call it a cheapie so far (but the price is low, it is really a bargain). For such a price this is just a great purchase, I sincerely recommend it!

This is by far the best marshmallow fragrance I've managed to find so far ~ though I haven't got to test any of the more expensive marshmallow scents, like Killian's etc. But if you're after a powdery marshmallow note (not toasted) then put this to test! I've really come to *love* this scent. It's mainly blackcurrant and powdery marshmallow on my skin. Lasts several hours on me. Safe blind-buy? I'd say 'yes' because of the low price.. (Must like blackcurrant & marshmallow though) Backup bottle -worthy? Again, yes. (In fact I'm just about to order an extra bottle when it's still around) Of course it doesn't smell expensive but it'd be unfair to expect that from a +-$20 fragrance anyway... Always need to remember the price when judging 'fumes, right? But it's a good and FUN scent, an easy reach! And I'm 41 yrs old, so I'm not even Hollister's target group. lol BTW. Anna Sui's brand new 'Violet Vibe' perfume has blackcurrant (syrup) and marshmallow too ~ the nose behind it is Jérôme Epinette... It's not listed here but I saw on another perfume site that he's *also* the nose behind Festival Nite For Her!
