Festival Party Pour Elle

I picked this up today at Marshalls for $12. I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking, and it wasn't, but it smells lovely! I get sweet mangos, a touch of orange, and sunshine. The small bit of floral makes it a little more sophisticated than I thought it would be. The scent matches the bottle and is a great summer scent. Yes, it leans a bit young, but I'm in my 30s and would still wear it in the summer-- sometimes you just want something easy and fresh for daytime. It's not sexy, but it is juicy, fresh, and fun. It's better than I expected and well worth the price. I was thinking it would be a fruity bath and body works type concoction, and it is fruity, but it's much smoother and more expensive smelling than something from BBW-- definitely impressed for the price and brand. It doesn't last terribly long, but at this price, you can use it like a body spray and douse yourself.

This is fun for summer or spring. It’s light, refreshingly citrusy however it reminds me nothing of Light Blue. This is deeper, a darker lemon with a soft floral base. It’s a non offensive fragrance and it could be used for an office scent. The little bottle is super cute with an interesting twist top that exposes the atomiser. It’s a unisex fragrance. This was purchased for my 15 year old daughter who prefers fresher, non floral, non sugary sweet fragrances. I think this is the demographic that Hollister is targeting. It’s the 2nd fragrance I have purchased from Hollister. They are nice quality that don’t smell like typical cheap fragrances such as the majority of celebrity fragrances. They smell unique instead of copycat from designer brands. Very affordable for the age group at A$20!!!

Bright and pretty, simplistic. No complex notes. Bright fruity with a cool wood fuzz in the background (this note is not nearly as heavy at it comes across in wave, and the coral festival). A happy smell which is an easy and affordable reach. I don’t think this is similar to light blue out who’s ever have compared it to.

For what these fragrances are and at the price point I give this brand a decent 8 out of 10. This one is a bright rounded floral citrus with a semi woody fresh base. None of these scents have that cheapie celeb note/vibe.

Tested at Chemist Warehouse (Australia). For a citrus scent which I usually don't love this one is actually quite nice! I think the floral and amber notes boost it for me. I still don't really see myself wearing it though, especially with just terrible performance tbh. It was pretty much gone from my skin in less than an hour.

I do smell Light Blue here, the same DNA. Not a dupe. I don't care for this or Light Blue, but I would choose this over LB. It's milder, less cedar, if any. I realize it's not listed in the notes and they both share bamboo so maybe what I thought was cedar is bamboo, but the drydown smells identical only way less cedar smell here, but still I would think I was wearing LB only milder or it was almost wearing off. I find the cedar in LB way too much so I would prefer this one. They both share lemon and citrus and rose and bamboo. and some other different flowers they both have. So similar at the dry down and at the beginning it smells very different but you think hmm reminds me of light blue but I like it better. To each his own. I will say I do smell the different top notes even though I immediately am reminded of LB, stronger fruit here as someone said, in the top, as it dries it begins to smell more and more like LB.

I finally got this., it was on special. I absolutely love the smell but staying power is non existent on me which is unusual for Hollister. Usually they stay on. The wave 2 stays on very strong and floral on me but this one which I like the most just will not stay even though I bathed in it.

In my opinion not similar to light blue what so ever ,it smells very raw..meaning that it smells like a real , bitter fruit with no artificial”touch”at all. First i Hated it, now i kind of like it😃
