Vanilla Amour

I'm not typically a huge vanilla fan because everyone seems to wear it ALL the time and it's honestly very hard to find one that my nose likes. However, this particular scent got my attention and it turns heads everywhere I go. It's strong enough to get noticed with only 2 or 3 sprays and lasts a good 6 hours. Seems to last longer on my clothes than skin but it is the perfect combination of vanilla and just the right amount of spice to turn heads without smelling TOO spicy. Those that get it, get it- and understand exactly what I mean. My husband took me out for lunch today and as soon as he went to wash his hands, the waiter said, "You smell SO GOOD!!!" He was trying not to step on toes but also wanted to let me know how great I smelled wearing this and needed to know the scent for his own wife. And, you can't beat the price!

I was in Hollister a few months ago, and while perusing the fragrances, I happened upon "Vanilla Amour". Smelled it, bought it, and gave it to my teenage daughter who loves vanilla scents. She tried it, and amazingly, liked it with emphatic thumbs up. It's not overly vanilla, somewhat musky. Heck, I wear it sometimes, and I'm more of a floral type gal. It's got a curious vanilla composition. Fab price point, too. 🥰

This is a very likeable, floral vanilla in Hollister's signature beachy style. It opens with strong, pure vanilla: not overly sweet, syrupy, or powdery. Just vanilla. Quickly, the floral aspect starts to emerge. It is a dainty jasmine note. The jasmine keeps getting stronger with wear until it blooms during drydown, overtaking the vanilla. There is no indole in this jasmine. It is slightly marine and clean. It wears intimately on skin and lasts 7 hours. The first time I wore it, the floral was a little funky to my nose. I am glad I gave it a second chance. I think it will be so beautiful as a warm weather vanilla. It reminds me of the Jennifer Anniston perfumes. I think this one is bottle-worthy. Plus, it is a people pleaser.

I don't know where the vanilla is. This is the first 'gourmand' perfume that I've tried and it smells a bit sweet but I can't find the vanilla. It opens very strong, I was repulsed, but after an hour it got better, but I think I have a headache now. I think it's only wearable in cold climates. This perfume made me realize that it's not that perfumes don't stick to my skin, but that the ones I own weren't strong enough. I will keep wearing it because I want to be one of the girlies. For me, one spritz is enough.
