Wave 2 For Her

Warm, salty and sweet - great for a summer vacation! This perfume is super inoffensive and really quite likable. The opening spray for me is aquatic and salty before transforming into a lovely balmy perfume that reminds me of deep orange sunsets and drinking cocktails out of a coconut. Wave 2 is girly without being overly sweet, the lush honeyed-fruit notes counteracting the sharper woodsy base. In fact, this actually reminds me a lot of Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now Beach, but I actually think I prefer this one. It's more complex, feminine and has a lot more depth and warmth to it. It makes me want to reach for my denim shorts and grab a bikini top, letting my skin get freckled from the sun. I think this would make a great summer addition to any summer time collection, or perhaps just for someone like me who is stuck inside on this miserable winter day dreaming of the beach...

It opens with a very realistic coconut water note and in a couple of hours dries down to a creamy coconut milk fragrance with an amazing hot sand note. A perfect summer beach fragrance and very underrated for sure! This is definitely same genre as Sun di Gioia and Alien Eau Extraordinaire but for a fragrance with this price tag the evolving of this scent on skin is really well done. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favourites. People say it doesn't last, but I find that if I'm a little heavy-handed when applying it stays all day. Definitely fruity and floral, although I can't nail down many specific notes. I don't get the coconut unfortunately, but the sand is there for sure. It smells liquidy but not watery if that makes sense. I wear it year-round because it smells like summer!

This smells very nice and summerish. Actually, the first thing my male friend said was: "oh yummy, this smells like the beach! ". So the name is not totally wrong. Downsize is that the sillage and performance is very poor! Like others have said, I can also keep spraying, and still, it turns into a skinscent shortly after. Such a shame. SUMMER EDIT: it's still very subtle and a skin scent to me, but I've just found out that the smell of vanillaish candy/caramell I get every time I'm in the car, must be this perfume I sprayed on in the morning. So now I get a base.... I do not find this cloying at all. Way too weak for that.

Coconut? I smell some beachy florals, salt and most of all, HONEY! Very pretty, although a little thin, longevity is not the worst (I can smell it for at least 5-6 hours) but it doesn't smell like a proper perfume no matter how much I spray on, too watered down. I like how I can layer it with matching body spray and use a ton, sometimes that's what I want, but with this one I could spill the entire bottle on myself and it would probably still not be enough. I wish there was something like this but stronger and fuller smelling, I just adore the 'salted honey' note, it's very warm and sensual.

Es un perfume muy rico, sí es verdad que el inicio és bastante alcohólico-potente, pero en cuanto se asienta se queda un olor playero y muy rico!!! me recuerda en lo veraniego al festival nite que también me encanta, pero éste es más fresco playa día y el otro és más cremoso para playa noche. La estela y proyección de ambos és pobre pero el olor que tienen para mí merece la pena adquirirlos, sin problema para replicar, perfecto para todo el verano, los prefiero antes que los escada.

This was my friend's everyday signature for about 1 and a half semesters in uni. You know who you are (if you do see this). It is pleasant but not my favorite, fresh, on my friend its more like a fruity floral with a bit of sweetness. Not bad. It is a bit heavy honestly. It lasts a really long time on her, I can smell it for hours. I swear most people, including myself go nose blind to our fragrances. People complain about longevity but its actually quite strong.

Wave 2. Aha an aquatic one! No, that’ll be the coconut being all wet, cool and creamy and giving that effect. These Hollisters are definitely of a type, freshie floral with either greens or woods. This one smells a bit like the colour of the bottle, but then has a layer or wet loveliness. It’s my top pick from this line (haven’t gone for the men’s ones). Basically it’s the lush wet version of these freshie florals, and this one has some warmth.

A surfer girl, riding the waves on her board, hair flying in the wind, she's free as a bird, not held back by everyone else's opinion of her. That's what I see when I smell this perfume, I think Hollister perfumes are a tad underrated, this one is gorgeous! I get citrusy peaches with a smooth tiare flower and other beachy florals, it's a perfect holiday fragrance! Possibly good as a gift, too.

It smells beachy, aquatic and floral. A really nice, light summer scent. I really like this one. I can also smell the sand and driftwood in this. Good cheap one to throw on when you cant pick what to wear. Wish it had better sillage and lasting power though.

I blindbought this and it's an okay scent. Nothing more, nothing less. Very linear and smells clean and nice but this is a totally unnecessary perfume when I have 30+ other perfumes that I rather wear. I like the bottle but sadly the scent is boring to me.

I agree with the reviewers who say this is underrated. Not too sweet, floral, fruity, and a little rough textured around the edges from the sand and driftwood. It smells great and is a perfect one to grab-and-go. Glad this was brought to my attention.

This review I'd for HOLLISTER WAVE CRUSH. Its lame, dont bother. Edp strength..pffft. body mist I reckon. Ok, ok, too harsh. Tomorrow I'll do a side by side of wave 2 and wave 2 crush.

I mean, I don't know about summer, but right now in winter on my skin it's straight up honey with beeswax. Very yummy and has moderate projection.

I don't smell any coconut or sweetness in this one, only florals. I like it, it's fresh and lasts for 3 hours or so.

Very fruity and juicy. Carefree, sunny, good for a hot day on the beach for sure.

Summery and beachy. I really like it but once more this does not last at all.

Its. Okay? Its less sweet than I expected, but still VERY sweet. It smells like a nice hairspray. Its wearable, but very young.

Hooo boy this is too floral for me! It was so cheap and I'm such a fan of a few other Hollister perfumes that I had to give it a try, but I won't be keeping. I'm shocked everyone is talking about how poor the longevity is because this seems to be holding pretty strong on me; perhaps more noticeable because I don't like it. This gives me a very similar feeling as Beyonce Heat Wild Orchid, which is to say I bought it hoping for a pretty creamy coconut with a touch of fruit, and instead found myself getting knocked over by a scratchy, borderline allergenic floral haha. All the other notes in it are lovely, but I wish the florals were toned down for sure. It almost feels spicy. Another one it reminds me of is Pacifica Sunrise Moon. If you enjoy this, you will probably also like Wild Orchid or Sunrise Moon! Definitely all cousins, to my nose. The peach is really nice here.

Oooooh noo! To my nose this smells like a bunch of VERY overripe exotic fruits mixed with honey. I can't make out the coconut note from the other loud fruity notes. I'm not getting any flowers in this. Way too sweet, way too cloying for summer for me. Update: In the far dry-down stages now (6 hours plus and still going.... of course the longevity is great on me, because I hate the scent! Murphy's law *sigh*) I am getting caramel notes from this! Interesting, I can't fathom which of the notes are creating this effect. It smells like fruity caramel toffee now. Still honey-sweet.

I had the misfortune of having a mouse trespass into my house. After numerous attempts at catching the pest, I decided to spray this perfume in its direction and lure it into a trap. That method worked wonderfully. Both the mouse and I have the same thoughts about this perfume. It should’ve been a repellent. Very chemically smelling. It’s like Sun di Gioia’s ugly twin sister.

Perfect for Summer day or night. Fresh, light & sweet. The fruit & white floral complement each other & the coconut & sand make this so tropical. Yes, I can actually smell sand which is a surprise! Wave 2 is different from Wave, yet there are similarities. I prefer the original Wave but this is summery & fun. It can get a little sickly sweet, especially if you sweat.

Very strange mixture that opens With a lot of alcohol that made me sneese several times. After an hour or so the drydown on my skin smells strongly of honey mostly, but also With some salty fruits in the background. Not my type of scent...even though the bottle looked promising.

Im a huge fan of Hollister perfumes because of the nostalgia, but this didn’t do it for me. Idk what it was I didn’t like, but there was a bitterness or something to it

For nostalgia's sake I wanted to like this, but the florals were just too overpowering for me, I couldn't smell anything else.

So disappointed by this. All I smell are flowers, absolutely no mandarin, no peach. A lot of flowers and it is strong.

The floral notes are much more defined in Wave 2 in comparison to the original Wave, which will likely be the point that makes up your mind over if you like or disconnect from this fragrance as everyone's beach locales vary on where you live and everyone has different beach memories; I live in the north of England so don't have lush floral coastlines, and my strongest beach memories are of lotion and fruity drinks. The base for Wave 2 is quite similar to the base in the original Wave;. I'm not sure how best to describe the 'sand' accords; it's like when clothes come out of a dryer and the fibers are all warm, it's more of a feeling of mild heat than a distinguishable scent. Another similarity to the original Wave are the woody notes and light musk that accompany this ' heated fiber' - I can't quite decide if the woody notes here are slightly salty, or if I'm tricking myself. Going by the scent notes I thought that I'd really enjoy Wave 2, but I've found that the strong floral notes do separate me from the beachy memories that the fruity opening brings. I really enjoy the beachy feel of the base, but the lingering florals do take me out of the 'beachy haze' a bit. I much prefer the first Wave over Wave 2, as the milder and cleaner floral notes complement the fruits, faint sweetness andwarm base more.

I could call myself a summer scent collector (and user of course), since I spend such a large amount of the year travelling in countries with pretty hot and humid climates. Wave 2 from Hollister is a very aquatic and salty summer scent in which the sweet fruits, flowers and coconut stay mostly in the backgroung on my skin. Tiare and coconut are quite strong in the initial spray, but unfortunately they don't stay as strong as I'd like them to. This is a nice variation among my summer scents though, since I don't usually go for the aquatic and salty ones. Great for use at the beach with that salty beachy sea salt vibe in it. I would definitely not say that this is very similar to Sun di Gioia (one of my favourites), since Sun is so much sweeter with loads of frangipani, vanilla and ylang-ylang in it and there are no salty notes in Sun, no coconut either. So if you are looking for a scent that is similar to Sun di Gioia, I don't think this is the one. The only similarity that I find is that these are both great for summer use.

I like some of Hollister's perfumes. Sometimes I feel like they get "overlooked", and aren't taken seriously. There are a few perfumes by Hollister I really like, including this one Wave 2, and in my opinion, I think is better than the original from last year. Wave 2 is similar to Bath & Body Works At The Beach, the difference between the two perfumes is that Wave 2 is more fruity, than At The Beach. I bought Wave 2 from Scented Monkey's Website for $25. This is the perfect beach perfume, has a slight Cali vibe to it which I like. I like the whole Hollister image, even though it's aimed at a younger crowd. I'm 26, and the Hollister brand still appeals to me. Hollister perfumes that I recommend, Wave 2, Endless Skies, Jeweled Paradise, Beach Retreat, and Wild Chase.

I wear this with coconut body cream and coconut sprays. I also wear it with CK One with the gold bottle and believe it or not Chanel Allure. I know Coco would be horrified. They all for me have a slight sweetness with something scratchy and woody in this case it’s the sand notes. I have a plain vanilla spray that I use as a base then spray this and for me personally, it smells really unique. The point I am making is, you may need to mix this with something else. I give it points for not smelling like fruit salad or cupcakes. It is more like the Jennifer Anniston presumes. The bottle is quite solid and of decent quality. I really like this brand. It does have to be re sprayed but it lasted on me for a few hours.

If you took a jar, mixed in honey, salt water, coconut water, flower nectar, and some fermenting fruits this is what it would smell like. Innocence on the beach, yum. At first I get the sweetness that remind me of the honey and the salt from the sand. Maybe a hint of coconut water and fruit but just a hint. After the first twenty minutes or so it just fades into a floral skin scent, mainly the tiare flower. I think this is good for what it is. Its suitable for a younger crowd being hollister. Doesnt project or last much but it smells delicious on the skin. Very sweet and tropical, a decent summer scent. I didnt pay much for this so I am not disappointed but not amazed either.

Wow. This is identical to Kate Spade live colorfully. I just received this today, and just bought a full bottle of live colorfully yesterday. I am well stocked with this fragrance now. We'll see if the dry down is identical next. I like it so far. Kate spades dries down to a heavier maybe baby, I'm not sure with this one yet cuz I just had to tell of it's similarities to live colorfully. More than similar, identical! Live colorfully full bottle was close to $40 for a full bottle, I got this for $12 for a full bottle. With live colorfully it lasts for 6 hours and the linger of it is gorgeous. We'll see if this one does the same then I'll post on it later.

Really pleasant and nice low-cost, it opens with a very fruity top but already with that tropical hint that I like, and then takes on in all respects a certain similarity with Sun by Giorgio Armani, I exchanged Sun some time ago with a friend, I found it a little heavy for my tastes, but having a fruity top I like this one better! Here too, nothing original for goodness' sake... But if you want a nice tropical perfume that smells of coconut and tiaras and doesn't cost much, I recommend it.

Believe the people who say this has ridiculously short longevity. It’s not just their skin. This won’t last longer on you. It’s unbelievable how it just disappears! Its la sweet but fresh fruity floral, that has no base at all. It turns a bit salty after a couple of minutes. Maybe a touch of coconut if you try really, really hard to convince yourself it’s there. Then, it’s gone, but overspray by a lot and you might get a skin scent for a few hours.

This reminds me of CK one gold, just with a little coconut in there! Gold is one of my favourite fragrances, I just wish it lasted longer, I'm going to have to try this on skin and see how it goes! *Edit* Ck one gold definitely lasts longer! This fragrance is an eau de parfum but I can hardly smell anything left on my skin, and I didn't exactly go lightly when I first sprayed. A little disappointing!

I wore this perfume yesterday and I had moderate to intimate silliage for 5 to 6 hours and it remained a skin scent for a few more hours beyond that. It is a pleasant floral beachy scent. I bought a 30ml bottle for $13 and I'm happy with my little purchase.

This is truely the scent of beach, really clean and summery. I GOT me a 30 ml but Im soon gonna buy the 100ml. Its that lovely. And you can use it freely because of the price. Longevity 3-4 h and sillage is soft. Its a safe fragrance.

I thought this was really gross. The initial spray was actually repulsive and while it got sliiightly better on the dry down it was still yuck. I don't know what note I'm not liking but it's something floral
