Amorvero

The bottle I just got is marked with "Acqua di Profumo" (a 60 ml older bottle, with a metal cap embossed with the Hotel Hassler logo). "Gem" by VC&A is more fruity and "Van Cleef" by VC&A has more clove (carnation? marigold?). This smells or feels remarkably to my nose like Guerlain's "Samsara" extrait. Must be the sandalwood / white flower combination. Except that Samsara has what I always felt was a combination interesting / jarring 'basil' green note. Almost something sour like tarragon, but in an interesting way. And Samsara is a darker perfume. The tuberose in Amorvero is also clear to me, & kind of provides a bright 'glassy' effect. Somewhere in texture between Samsara and Chanel No. 5 edp -- the best of the 80s and 90s referring to classicism but brought out in the 2000's. Maybe this perfume was the beginning of an Italian surge forward in niche perfumery (?). In any case, this "Amorvero" is a grand parfum, very expansive. Gorgeous. AND it reminds me of perfumer Vero Kern, who suggested I search it out. She said it reminded her of "Blue Grass" by Elizabeth Arden from the 1960s, which I also have (and that one also adds a lavender / fougere vibe, I don't see amber listed in the notes). That one is also sweeter and even more ambery rather than woody like Amorvero and Samsara. Either way, all are stunning perfumes, and I will treasure my bottle as solace for Vero's absence

A truly, lovely, feminine bouquet where an originality kept under the strict control of classicism is bypassed by a sure quality of the elements employed (invention alone is insufficient if not supported by quality ingredients....) Elegant, balanced and refined also. Charming sillage and projection, beautiful, sophisticated dry down. A beautiful fragrance by an interesting Italian Nose (Maitre Parfumeur) whose creations are always well done. Bravo, Signor Ferro! If I could take the liberty to suggest something more by the same Author I'd racomend also his rich, beautiful repertoire of home sprays, wonderfully long, long, loooooooooong lasting!

A great scent! Longlasting and warm with a good punch of Vanilla in base.. it took a while before the aha-moment hitted me. This one is rather alike Van Cleef from Van Cleef & Arpels (diamondshaped bottle). They are both rich, a bit heavy with a good wiff of 80/90's parfums. En härlig doft! Hållbar på huden och varm med en rejäl dos Vanilj i basnoten. Det tog ett tag innan aha-känslan infann sig - denna påminner om Van Cleef från Van Cleef & Arpels (diamantformade flaskan). De är båda rika, lite tunga och med härliga vibbar från 80/90-talets parfymer.

ARMOVERO is beautiful, fine woman well ballanced scent having vintage marks as well as marks from Rome. AMORVERO PROFUMO becomes my SIGNATURE.I love very much this long lasting and timeless fragrance !!!! I give it 10/10 because it is a TRUE perfume.
