Rose du Desert

Wow I almost missed this because of the name. I thought ‘Rose’ not for me. But nothing could be further from the truth. There is so much depth and complexity to this fragrance. I think what is most abundant will depend on your skin and sense of smell. For me the top notes are a fresh citrus mixed with a luxurious soapiness. After an hour it bedded down with a cedar base covered with a delicious spicy soapiness. It’s unlike any other fragrance family I am familiar with (Creed, Louis Vuitton, Maision Francis Kurkdjian). Highly recommend.

Yea, id say absoluty unisex, leaning masculine. Not intrusive or offensive, easy light wear for a dinner-date. Its a fresh and sweet iris and vanilla scent that slowly develops a realistic rose. By comparison, this to me is more masculine then Rosé by Zaharoff. (If you wear stuff like MM Jazz Club you can easily wear this) I like it a lot, easy reach for me.

I did NOT expect that. Retro Cinnamon (the kind of cin that doesn’t smell like it. The 80s masculibe powerhouse Base Note cinnamon). Very dry. Peppery. Old Spice Original (it’s really here!) in the back. Super surprising. I can’t understand why a lot of us vote it feminine, it’s absolutely unisex, maybe even leans masculine.

This arrived yesteday and I am wearing it non stop.Since I sprayed it I can't stop smelling my arm.It is a wonderful combination of iris and fresh notes, so intoxicating. Longevity and sillage a re a good 6-8 hours,a masterpiece.

Dust from red Roses 🌹. Winter maybe autumn also ❄️. Dark but smooth. Luxurious bottle and juice. Very well done, elegant, expensive smell. 🤤🌹❤️

This fragrance could be a contender for the best rose scented perfume of the year in my opinion. Very good workmanship.

This one is superb, incredibly soft rose , not sweet but powdery and dusty. I cannot wait for my bottle to arrive

Heavens above, what an opening! It's delicious. It feels like a rosy, Turkish Delight, nougat-like treat, but it's tempered by starchy/chalky elegant iris and astringent lemon. There's a touch of vintage classic here too - the animalic edge of ambergris. I wish that could remain intact into far drydown. What develops is a nutty/woody niceness after a few minutes with a lovely background hum of soapy/musky sweetness that I associate with good quality rose. It's initially very more-ish. In terms of its inspiration - 'a desert rose', yes - it's a warm, nutty rose - a touch salty, a quality of dry warmth about it. After half an hour though, I'm mostly experiencing a rosy, light, ambery, animalic sweetness, the muskiness is ambergris-like and not harsh or cheap. It's easy to wear, nice.

A very heavy, powdery, dusty, potpourri kind of rose. I smell mostly the base notes: musk, cedar, and ambergris. I don't get much vanilla, but there is definitely rose, iris, and violet, the last two of which contribute to the heavy, fluffy profile, like a very old velvet down comforter where it's just as much dust as fabric and feathers, impregnated with the scent of a century of incense. At first I was confused and offended to see yuzu, my beloved, listed as a note. I didn't smell citrus at all. But sniffing up close, I think it do get faint a yuzu/bergamot undertone. It gives it a fabric-like, cottony sensibility, the lining of that velvet comforter. It's an antique scent to be sure, but if you're looking for opulent yurt in a desert, this one's got you covered. It's not really my taste, personally, but it feels like a classic. 6/10.

C'est incroyable ce parfum sens exactement comme le nom qu'il porte : une rose dans le desert Le parfumeur a fichtrement bien réussi son coup , c'est du génie 😵 D'habitude je n'aime pas les parfums floraux et encore moin ceux à la rose mais celui la est tellement bien travaillé , tellement different , une rose/iris chaude presque brulante qu'on aurait ramassé dans du sable chaud... C'est à tomber par terre et c'est totalement mixte Edit : la tenue/sillage est catastrophique...
