This is an absolute LOVE for me. I thought Casa Blanca was going to be my first purchase from this house but I waited for my sample of this and it is my favorite! I immediately placed my order for a bottle. This is smooth and clean without being a freshie scent. I don't even know how to explain it but it is subtly sexy and cozy and inviting at the same time. I can see why some might say this is more masculine but on me it soft, creamy and just so smooth. This is like a warm loving intimate embrace where you bury your head into the person and smell the essence of them. This will become my new signature scent. THB is an absolutely fantastic fragrance house and I can't wait to get my hands on a few more bottles.

I don’t usually like oak, or osmanthus, but WOW I LOVE this. It’s musky woody and just the right amount of sweetness. The leatheriness is not super pronounced. I’ve been getting into leather scents a lot apparently lately, as I also just bought Cherry Smoke last month so my wallet is about to hurt some more lol. But this is probably top of the wishlist now. It’s SO up my alley... Edit 3/3: the lasting power and sillage on this one is really good! Still a love after a couple more days of test. Edit 3/24: haven’t purchased but I am so tempted. Mostly finished with my sample. It’s a very easy to wear fragrance for me that is versatile in warm or cooler weather.

Wow, I've been dying to try some House of Bo scents and this just blew me away! As others have mentioned, I would never have expected the scent based on the notes. It's light, fresh, and almost fruity. On initial spray, which the alcohol is more prominent, it almost smells a bit like sniffing a glass of beautiful white wine. I can't figure out where the fruitiness is coming from, but I definitely understand the comparisons to Mojave Ghost. As it dries down, I can identify the sage and woods more, but it remains wonderfully soft and bright. Definitely signature scent worthy, I can't wait to sample others from the line.

Easily my favorite from House of Bo. I resisted buying a full bottle of this for the longest time, but I just kept spraying my 5 mL little mini bottles into oblivion. I find Espiritu to be a predominantly woody, herbal, iris/orris, soft yet airy composition. From the House of Bo website: Osmanthus, burning sage, carrot seed Tobacco leaves, iris, up-cycled rose Vintage leather, Mexican oak wood, labdanum It could be due to the power of suggestion with the name, but I do find something meditative, transportative, and spiritual about this scent. Espiritu is deeply comforting and relaxing to me.

This is a beautiful fragrance! Woody, salty, Incensey. Its fresh, very grounding, clean. The Iris and sage are very soft and aromatic. The floral is well blended with the leather and sage accords. Unisex. Very unique for sure. I love it! sophisticated/elegant, classic. Wore this with jean and tshirt, fresh out of shower...perfection! There is a ceremonial essence to this from the Clary sage. addictive. perfect anytime or season IMO. I need a bottle for sure. 10/10. Would make a gorgeous Signature scent. Yes please!

Gosh this is so beautiful! It is effortlessly chic. It's an easy reach that seems suitable for any occasion or weather. If I were a person that had a signature scent, this would be my pick. The notes might throw you off a bit because this is blended so well. I can see why Mojave Ghost is compared to it but this is much more sophisticated, complex and grounded. It's musky but clean, sensual yet bright. I'm sad it's so pricey bc I know I'm going to blow through this 75mls so quickly!

Bought it blindly based on a blogger's recommendation as one of the top 10 fragrances for life. And I must say, I am very happy with my purchase. The combination of osmanthus and leather in this perfume is really special – it's both elegant and delicate. The osmanthus gives it a sweet, inviting scent, and the leather adds a touch of luxury. The first day I wore it, I got a compliment. It's perfect for any occasion and adds a sophisticated touch to any style.

I recently tried Ganymede and was struck by it as having something similar already in my collection. It was this. My husband actually prefers Ganymede to this, both from the perspective of wearing it himself, and smelling it on me. I however, slightly still prefer this as it’s more herbal and stronger projection and lasting power. Both give a sort of mineral/herbal leather scent. Both are signature worthy in my opinion, for either (or any) gender.

I'll echo one of the earlier comments that likened this fragrance to the scent of a baby's head. It is actually so uncanny. To be specific, a just-bathed baby who has been powdered and wrapped in a blanket that has been stored away in an old wooden dresser. This imagery is only short-lived; an hour or so. The dry down, however, is by far the best herbal-woody skin scent I've come across in a while. I wish my skin smelled like this naturally.

This is fantastic! I am in love with this clean, warm, powdery leather. This collection is now available at Neiman Marcus (at least in the US). I just met the brand founder, Bernardo Möller, and his partner, at their Neiman debut event. He was so nice but what struck me is how passionate he was about the collection and what stories they convey. I feel so honored to have met them! And I must get a full bottle of this one, asap!

Everyone talks about La Mar while skipping over this hidden gem ❤️ I dislike almost all the notes in this. Leather + tobacco leaf + osmanthus + labdanum + carrot sounds like a nightmare combo. It’s my new signature scent 🤷🏼 Has a Byredo vibe, but better. Boho, natural. Smoky sage & rose over soft leather. It’s beautiful. Great performance. Lasted over 2 weeks on a jacket! Unisex, leans feminine.

I got a travel set and wasn’t sure if I should include this fragrance. I was most excited for Casa Blanca, but this ended up being my favorite of the 3. It’s soft, comforting, fresh and woody all at the same time. I put it on before bed and could still smell it on my wrist the next morning ( could not smell Casa Blanca which was on the other wrist). Full bottle worthy.

First I want to say that I’m delighted to smell high quality components from the small niche house. And downside is the price. This scent is a very versitile leather/tobacco combination with much more animalic nuances than it is listed on the fragrantica. Quite addictive. The silage is moderate-it is a scent for work or close encounters.

I wore this today and it immediately dawned on me what this smells like in the dry down. Versace Crystal Noir! Nearly a dead ringer. I’m very familiar with Versace Crystal Noir as it’s one of my favorite fragrances. There are only small differences between to the two.

Given the notes you wouldn't expect this fragrance to smell so clean, sparkling, and serene. I honestly have no idea what I'm smelling here but it just makes me swoon. It is soothing and projects well.

Don't let the notes scare you...I would have never guessed looking at them that I would love this fragrance. It's fresh and bright with a very small amount of natural sweetness. Perfect for spring.

Something so versatile and unique about this scent! It’s such a clean skin like scent but has so many unique facets and I think it can be worn year round! A definite winner!

I did not think i would like this one but it's really good and very classy. Gives business causal and should be taken seriously. Lol love for me. I would recommend it.

Tobacco, leather, and oak really shines in this. The dustyness and woodyness is complimented and rounded out by powder and florals. This fragrance is sooo interesting. It's not my favorite from House of Bo (Casa Blanca) but I can't stop smelling my arm. It's much better for Spring and Summer because it's so clean. It's more of a powdery, airy clean and its completely unisex. I imagine an old men's shoe store with a long history. One that still uses wooden tools and opens up their windows on a spring morning while the flowers are blooming. Edit: Back to give info about the dry down! This has a beautiful and gentle dry down! It's soft and delicate with some notes of wood faintly remaining. This is one of the most beautiful dry downs I have ever smelled. I am not a musk fan. This dry down is soft and delicate with no musk and there is a slight creamy and milky quality as well which I love! House of Bo is becomming one of my favorite houses. All the scents are sophisticated and relaxing

Smelling this, is like opening my grandmother's closet in the early 90s and going to the very back, where she keeps purses and shoes she doesn't often wear. The purses have leftover cigarette holders, compacts, tissues, and lipstick containers inside. Some of the purses are covered in sequins. Sometimes I would ask her for a purse but she would never give me one, until I got old enough that I got tired of asking. It's a light, airy, and dry leather scent to my nose. No sweetness - smells very clean & spa-like. I have a decant and the first time I smelled this I wasn't a huge fan but it's growing on me, maybe there's a bottle in my future once I finish 8 mL.

Hands down my favorite from the house, at least that I've tried so far. The carrot seed, sage, iris, and wood come together beautifully here. This is a firmly earthen, woody scent, though its intricacies distinguish it from many others in its genre. This is what the shared bedroom of a dry-skinned cowgirl and kitchen witch might smell like. Give this a try. Blending on this one is supreme. I'm not overcome with how much I like this but I like this a lot; I do not like it enough to pay the price of a full bottle. My sample makes me smile every time I use it, though.

i was raised by my grandmother. she drove a beige 1990 buick century. she never left the house without a full face of makeup and had a reliable rotation of pinks and mauves to get her manicure through the midwest seasons. between her manicured fingers, laid a marlboro 100. (but don't tell grandpa!) between the the saccharine floral of osmanthus, the warm leather that stuck to your legs, the powdery cosmetic smell of iris, the dank tobacco... this is a drive to the local library on a summer day.

Sophisticated and powdery. The Iris and Cedar come through the strongest on me. This is dry and clean and very pleasant but it's not moving me emotionally the way that some fragrances can. It's not a fragrance for me as much as for someone I might aspire to be. She's classic, elegant, self assured. Not a hair out of place. She carries an expensive leather bag and the top of her lipstick never falls off inside and stains the lining.

Wore Espiritu yesterday and was reminded how much I love it, and that it’s probably my favorite from House of Bo. Airy and serene wood that’s incredibly grounding to catch whiffs of during the day. Blended to perfection. And arguably the best longevity from a line that has poor reputation for such. I get 7 hours minimum with it on.

I expected this to smell like a church (Tom Ford sahara noir type of vibe but more flowery) but it doesn’t. I don’t know how to describe it.. woody powdery iris? It does smell interesting, I keep smelling my wrist without yet making my mind about it. Would I reach out to this often?

With notes like leather, tobacco, and woods you'd think this would be quite heavy, but it's actually quite pleasant. Nice dry woods with a touch of grounded florals. There is a touch of smoke, but it's done with a gentle hand so it won't choke you out. Nicely blended!

This is really growing on me. I agree with those who said it smells like a leather purse with makeup in it. Toss in some cigarettes, and it would smell like my aunt's purse when I was a kid. I have a decant from Scent Bird. Wish I could afford a big bottle.

I don't know how they did it, but BO combined notes I usually avoid into a really nice fragrance. Soft, well-worn leather, like the inside of a leather bag that has been carrying makeup. Bravo for something tasteful and original.

Meditative, woody, a little smoky. I really get that tobacco note but it’s not in a cigarette way, more in a soft smoky way. This does feel a little spiritual, but also vintage. Really unique!

Uhm I love this. It’s a clean powdery / aromatic scent that packs a punch. Amazing performance and so clean and feminine. Would make an amazing signature fragrance. Considering a fb.

Mostly oak moss carrot seed and osmanthus, a unique clean smell. Not the best not the worst it’s easy to wear and unique a very clean smell. 6/10

I enjoy wearing this perfume and enjoy layering with something fresher.

I was really expecting to enjoy this, but something about the woody herbal greenness was so spicy at the back of my nose that it was harsh enough to almost sting, the opposite of the relaxing smoothness I was hoping for. After reading more reviews on here, I'm eager to try it again but I was overwhelmed honestly with that first wear and scrubbed it. Love a unisex fragrance but this leaned all the way masculine to me Update: on attempt #2, I don't hate this, but still don't quite like it. Less grating than the first wear, but reminds me of when my aunt and uncle renovated their basement somehow––the wood? the wood stain? new carpet? their room freshener or potpourri?

I agree with the other reviewers who say this doesn’t smell like the listed notes. I was excepting something heavier but this is actually extremely light and airy. It does give me a clean spa like feel but with a twist. I can pick up on some light leather notes in the background. There’s also something spicy but not overpowering. Overall very well blended. My only complaint is the longevity is abysmal. It’s there and then it’s gone before I can really enjoy it.

I wanted to love this...but I do like it. Some leather scents are too strong and up your nose/in your face. This leather is much more balanced and doesn't feel like I've walked into a leather store. I get a lot of moss and wood as well - but again I find it to be well balanced. I do find it to lean more masculine, but just slightly. I'm going to have my husband wear it, and see how it wears on him.

This is a very "cool girl" scent. Something about this is so nostalgic to me. I am really impressed by the performance of this house - I put 3 samples on my skin this morning and I have worked and gone to the gym and single sprays on my wrists and arm are still going super strong ~5 hours later. If you liked Amouage guidance but found it too strong/too screechy, I think you'd like this.

Inoffensive office-appropriate leather. I appreciate how nicely the sage and iris are blended in to give it a nice texture. At some point I'll probably get rid of the travel version I picked up because it's not really me, but I don't regret trying it and would recommend it for others.

Very leathery. It’s like a brown leather, if Ombré Leather is black leather, if that makes sense. Less crisp and a more dirty, aged leather.

I don't see sandalwood listed, but I own sandalwood temple and has a lot of similarities. Nice fragrance but not unique.

Hmm, it's an odd one. First opening is alcoholic - and this was a relatively recent bottle, so I know it hadn't turned. It quickly gives way to herby and funky notes; you get oakmoss, maybe a hint of sage, and labdanum with a very strong tobacco leaf, all of which do give the perfume a quite musty, almost stale smell. My first instinct was regret that I had sprayed myself in so much of it. However, surprisingly, there is practically no sillage - I am certainly getting no scent of it unless I plug my nose to my skin. In the drydown, you definitely get woody - but only in the way of pencil shavings.... old pencil shavings left to dry outside on a windowsill for several weeks or a stale butt-filled ashtray. In no universe do I get a sweet or powdery perfume - there is most definitely NO rose or iris on my skin, and I love a good iris. Maybe there is more than a nod to a dirty leather jacket worn by someone who gave up a heavy smoking habit a few months ago and had been trying to mask the smell of it with perfume. It smells like unwashed clothes and actually gives me a mild headache. It was a blind buy of a 9ml perfume, thank god, so I didn't waste too much money on it.

this is so.. so lovely to me. smells like a cleaner version of these pinon incense blocks i bought a few years back, bought them at this native american gift shop a few miles away from my favorite lake. but fucking hell, why does House of Bō have such an abysmal performance?

This one is challenging for me. I definitely get the tobacco leaf and leather, two notes that I struggle with.

This reminds me of La Perla My Day. I would never say they’re the same, but they feel similar enough to me that I’m not sure I need this as I already own MD and I don’t wear it super often. Espiritu is more toned down I think, but equally beautiful. Maybe a little more unisex with the addition of the leather note. There’s no leather in MD. The description of this being a worn in leather bag with cosmetics in it is spot on. It does have a very vintage quality that won’t be for everyone. Personally I love scents like this. This is very soft after about 30 min with an ethereal quality. The name is very fitting. Not a huge projector. Not necessarily a skin scent either but it could be if you spray moderately. Can’t comment on longevity just yet. The tobacco note is like freshly opened pack of cigarettes. Some have said they pick up smoke but I don’t at all. My grandmother used to have a leather pouch she’d keep her cigarettes in and man... makes me miss her terribly. 🥲

All the frags everybody seems to love from this house I unfortunately dislike (like Bombon). I really thought I would like this one as a lot of others who seem to have similar taste to myself love it. But the leather in this is unpleasant to me (I love leather accords). Not an easy wear at all, almost nauseating. I’m so surprised by this as it’s always described as woody and airy, but it’s more bitter and heady to me. The iris is very noticeable and gives it a clean feel, but combined with the bitter tobacco it becomes a confusing profile to my nose. I’ve been using my sample multiple times now and every time I am hoping that it would be a different experience but it still makes me feel nauseous every time.

This house keeps on surprising me! This...where casa blanca and bombon gets all the rave reviews, this is in my opinion is a underrated gem! I didnt think i would love this based on the notes but my gosh, goosebumps everytime i spritz this little gem. I agree with the review below that it somehow reminds me of guidance but way more nuanced and smooth, and i hate guidance! For me it leans a little more feminine, but i also like to smell this on my man! The dry down blew me away! Great longevity, can be worn year around! Layer this with rosario👌This one is very special for me, and very happy to have this in my collection ❤

I like this, but I don’t love this. Something about it feels a little disjointed. It feels like I put on Fleur de Peau from Diptyque, with the carrot and iris, and then put on a jacket that still had the remnants of a sweet, ambery leathery fragrance left over from the night before. Like two different fragrances sitting next to each other, not one cohesive fragrance. My skin tends to really bring out the sweetness in a lot of fragrances, and I think that’s happening here.

I have only worn this once so far as this review goes and it strikes me as the more timid sister of Amouage Guidance. The sister that is pretty and understated elegance. She is the sister that gets overlooked because her boisterous loud sister is the popular one. I really like it. It reveals itself in layers like Guidance but it is less sharp and a smoother blend. I’m am not saying it smells like Guidance exactly but it is in the same family. My favorite from the house.

This is beautiful! Ordered the discovery set and just knew Casa Blanca would be it for me. This one was LOVE at first sniff. It is exquisite. More than a clean scent. It has a spa-like aura. It’s fresh but also has depth. Looking at the notes, I didn’t expect to be so smitten by this fragrance. Immediately ordered a full bottle. This is like walking into a high-end spa. It is perfectly blended. All of the notes come together in harmony. LOVE!!!!

The first note I get is Iris, but it is a textured, fuzzy iris that scratches my nose. Not a negative point in my book, just something unique about it. If I were to guess the notes I would I say paper, or papyrus, and musk. When I see them here I don’t get an earthy tobacco but I do get the leather and carrot. Very unique to my collection. Sits close to my skin. I just have a sample I spray twice in shirt and once in the crook of my arm.
