Rosario

This IS perfumery to me. If someone asked what perfume is I would show them Rosario. Perfectly genderless, smoothly blended. The lemon in the opening is BEAUTIFUL and it settles effortlessly into a dewy rose. Haters will say it is boring or redundant, I say it is the best expression of a lively and airy rose I've ever smelled. Everyone who smells this, even my anti-perfume grandma, says it is amazing. After having spent a year exploring perfume and smelling probably hundreds of scents, this was the scent I requested for my birthday, and I really didn't even consider anything else. If I could only have two scents for the rest of my life, a daytime and a nighttime, this would be my daytime pick (Vivamor Addiction Absolu would be my nighttime). This lasts FOREVER on my skin, easily 14 or 15 hours with decent projection as well. It's simply perfect! I cannot praise it highly enough. One of the few times I can comfortably say something this expensive is maybe close to worth the money. I'm absolutely glazing this scent to an insane degree but the way it smells and performs for me lives up to these words and then some. I love House of BŌ Rosario. Sue me.

Dewy rose, noble rose, a rose that's truly a rose, young rose, pink petals 🌷🌸🌹 First of all I was expecting a playful rose (no reason, the name just gave me that impression) but this is a soft, natural, sugar-free, noble rose. It smells pristinely clean and luxurious. It slides a bit into what I'd call the soapy and musky rose category. In the first blasts there's a fresh and citric breeze, but it quickly and immediately reveals its true direction, the rose. Alongside it I'm picking up other clean and dewy pink flowers too, but nothing overshadows this fresh rose scent. I think the rose here darkens a little towards the drydown but this darkness doesn't make the rose gothic, it just makes it more serious. Like the rose with morning dew on it sinking into darkness at sunset... It won my love because it's a simple but very natural-feeling perfume. This is an absolute beauty. Clean and soft, but realistic rose, that somehow very carefully stays a bit warm, but not syrupy, not spicy, still gives dewy rose. It is somewhat simple, but it is a masterfully well-blended & easy to wear fragrance. I’ve been comparing back and forth to one of my all time favorite & very similar realistic roses: Diptyque Eau rose EDT . I find them extremely similar, only that Eau rose is distinctly more green and stronger projecting than Rosario. I find Rosario to be an easier wear than Eau Rose, however! My daughter says she clearly prefers Eau rose on both of us, that Rosario has a tiny touch of something she finds dirty smelling (I’m guessing that’s the ambergris) But for me, I can wear Rosario more days than I can Eau Rose EDT because of the lack of greenness about it. Sometimes green makes my stomach turn. 8/10 for Rosario

I agree with AnnaMagenta, this is Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic close sibling, not a twin but sisters, a year apart. In this economy I would say sample both and see which one moves you the most. I have both( by accident), I adore both, they both have that beautiful, fresh, ethereal, clean rose aroma. I will see how I feel about Rosario at the end of the 40mL bottle, if I want to invest in a 75mL. I will say this, Rose Magnetic costs $110USD for a 100mL and its refillable, Rosario is $195 for a 40mL and $365USD for a 75mL, no refills, yet. Rosario’s bottle is beautiful with the rose quartz cap and gold trim with the soft feet. Rose Magnetic’s bottle is simplistic, with clean lines, still nice to look at on a vanity. Whichever you choose, you will have a beautiful, spring/summer rose scent.

Rosario writes a master class on how to bring a clean rose into the evening without adding gourmand notes. It still has that clean/transparent day rose vibe with the lemon but brings in incense and ambergris to deepen and provide this sultry vibe. This is “clean girl goes evening”. The rose isn’t sweet, it is dewy, petal-y and photorealistic. It does so well in hot summer nights and equally well in sweater weather. If you want to make this a little brighter I love to layer it with EA Green Tea lotion which blends lovely with the lemon notes to just make it a day to night scent. This is beautiful year round and can bridge a casual vibe to a more formal setting. For that reason I always have this with me, a travel must have.

A beautiful, sophisticated rose freshie! I love the vibrant lemon and pomegranate opening. The coriander is grounding but still has a citrusy touch. In the mid I don’t get much freesia; it’s there, but very subtle. The stars are the rose and peony. I don’t always enjoy incense, but it feels really light combined with the ambergris and vetiver. Rosario is fresh, but doesn’t pull soapy. I find this scent to be really interesting- niche but easy to like and understand. I get about 4-5 hours longevity. HoB seems to work well in my hot and dry climate- they all feel sort of diaphanous, sheer and translucent. I really appreciate that they tend to smell very natural as well.

I adore the juicy lemony opening on this! It makes me feel like a garden fairy drinking rose lemonade from a dew drop. This doesn't smell like your average old big fluffy rose in grandma's garden. This smells like a fresh baby-pink rose with densely packed petals that was watered exclusively by hand using those glass water bottles from Erewhon. I don't think the projection is super strong, but I could smell myself all day which I enjoyed. However, later in the day I do get a slight alcohol or boozy scent that isn't my favorite. Otherwise, this is so pretty and happy. Plus, that rose quartz lid is stunning.

A rose lover’s rose perfume. To me is a watery, clean and realistic rose reminiscent of the rose scented bath cubes of the 80’s and 90’s in the best way possible. I’m really getting bath time from it. The peony is evident as well but I’m not getting any incense at all. There’s no depth to it. It’s fresh and bright. I don’t find the longevity to be a problem as others have mentioned. I put it on after a shower before bed and can smell it on my clothes in the morning. Definitely a spring or summer scent to me.

Wow 😍 Very luxe, very high quality fresh soothing rose frag. Eladaria's younger prettier cousin. Love love love, I could bathe in it It is a soft skin scent, perfect for wam weather or intimate setting but wow if you love roses you want to have this in your collection. I love Delina but I also love this. Only this I don’t like about this is project. Sits very close to skin while Delina projects a decent amount. I layer both and I’m in heaven.

I am still mourning Stella and this is so, so close. Not a total dupe (less amber-y, more dewy) but the closest I've gotten and well worth a bottle. It's somewhat close to Diptyque Eau Rose, a little less powdery, and closer to Byredo Young Rose; not as fruity as RDF Little Flower. The sillage is more intimate than other House of Bo scents I've tried, which I actually prefer. And I still get a solid 6-8 hours without overspraying.

As someone who's not a fan of rose (in fragrances) I am absolutely in love with this! Rosario is a photorealistic rose, it also reminds me or rose water, which I love. I can see myself wearing this day or night. It has a calming effect on me. In the opening I don't get any pomegranate at all, and on the dry down I also don't get much incense. This is very much a rose dominant scent, it's beautiful.

Currently sampling a very generous sample from Blue Mercury. I freakin' LOVE IT. It goes on fresh, pure, aromatic and has something nostalgic about it. I can't quite figure it out yet. Dries down perfectly and even husband said he loved it on me. I sampled this on my right arm, I sampled Ave Maria on my left arm at the same time - that was very jasminy. Saving my pennies for House of Bo Rosario.

This smells like a photorealistic rose with some interesting notes of lemon, amber and incense. If I close my eyes, I might be in a Catholic church during a wedding decorated with fresh roses. As it dries down further I can smell other florals as well. This scent could go from day to evening and is nice for any season. Just beautiful.

Didn’t want to write about this one as I feel I don’t have anything to say about it, but I’ve been obsessed with it lately. It’s not very unique but it’s a very pleasant clean rose that isn’t headache inducing. Very green rose with beautiful dry down. It’s a bit fleeting on skin but is eternal on clothes!

This smells like a more luxurious version of the now discontinued L'Eau d'Issey Florale by Issey Miyake. This is a powdery, modest rose scent. A little fresh, a little sweet, with a soft and sophisticated dry down. This is a beautiful fragrance that isn’t overpowering without being too subtle.

Wow ! Just received the discovery set and this was one of the three. This is amazing . I get a fresh watery , boozy , fruity rose 🥀 I can wear this all year round . I have to say this is the best rose perfume I have come across ! Out of the 3 I’m purchasing this one and Ave Maria .

Beautiful, fresh rose fragrance that is not matronly at all. Perfect for spring. The fragrance is complex, but light/bright, so it could be worn to work without being offense. This is not a sweet rose fragrance at all, but citrusy and slightly fruity with some incense undertones.

A fresh realistic rose scent with a bright citrus note and not much added sweetness. I love the incense in the dry down it adds a lot of depth. This is surprisingly long lasting, 6-8hrs. Great fresh rose scent for Summer.

Lovely, lotiony, makeup-soft lemon and rose that's both fresh and deep, and reminds me of giving my mom a big hug in the kitchen when she and my dad got home after an evening out while I stayed with a babysitter

OMG! It’s like walking into a ‘Rose Heaven’. One of the best rose citrusy fresh fragrance I’ve ever smelled, with a nice but not overpowering hint of incense and vetiver. Perfect for the spring and summer!
