Love Flame

This is beautifully done. I get a feel for that lovely Dior Powdery Iris in a very light daytime wearable version brightened by bergamont and patchouli . Iris Malikhan (Crivelli) is slightly less powdery but is a very similar Iris with added leather/animalic notes making it darker. Atlier Silver Iris is a little sweeter (?) and more sharp. My old bottle of Narcisco For Him EDT is a little closer to this than my bottle of Narcisco For Him Intense (EDP). I was a little afraid of the civet note in this but I just do not get much if it at all. The dry down becomes more refined light powdery iris.. leans toward Musc Ravageur under the Iris... becomes sexy, more sensual, and very easy to wear, not overpowering or too bold - exquisitely done. The test strip does no favors. and makes it almost linear. On the skin, it transforms itself over time as it blends with your pH. I'm having a hard time picking just one bottle out from this House. My favorite I think is Five Senses, then Love Flame, then You, and Light Breeze and lastly Game of Joy, but EVERYONE around me picks Game of Joy first - the fruity watermelon has them sold :) Five Senses and You to me are not safe blind buys, but they are TOTALLY my jam, and I am aware most people do not agree with me. i have odd taste :) ... but if you love DIOR IRIS, the LOVE FLAME is probably a no-brainer. Easily unisex as well and LESS hard-to-wear than DIOR PARFUM (pre 2025). On clothing, I can still smell this a full 10 days later... and counting Because Love Flame is so unisex and my partners first choice, the first full bottle will most likely be LOVE FLAME since we will BOTH enjoy wearing this gem.

I received this as a sample and coincidentally i have been loving iris at the moment. I absolutely LOVE this! This iris is thick and not TOO sweet. It is comforting, classy, waxy, grounded and really a joy to wear. I dont really get chocolate as much, but this is my first wear. Upon opening i almost get a “flame” accord and wondering if that was by design? I envisioned like of those old fashioned lighters my parents had in the 70s where you added your own lighter fluid? But it wasnt strong just a visual pop in my head - like a scent memory. I think this is versatile. You can dress this up or down. I believe safe for office. I think this is romantic, and is fine for a date or night out. For me, FB worthy. But again i am having a love affair with iris so it makes sense! I will have to check prices and make a decision after. May be out of my normal price range.

First let me start by saying I dont like castoreum and I dont love love chocolate in most scents. So when I say this is well blended, I mean it because when I smell castoreum I usually immediate point all my toes and fingers in a bullish down trend to express my extreme disdain. Instead, this one used expert perfumery to hide it moderately well. Do I like this scent? No. Not for me but an expert composition nonetheless. Also, not very unique or inspiring. Not very strong and not very memorable tbh Dry down oddly enough is quite lovely soft and fruity. 3.89/5 not a scent i like but undeniable expert level perfumery here.

I love this treatment of iris, though admittedly, I'm a zealous lover of iris. A trifecta of iris, ambrette, and orconax emerge upon first spray. It doesn't take long for a dark chocolate to emerge, giving the composition a little gourmand undertone. Papery, with a whisper-soft gourmand filling, Love Flame has certainly ignited my love for it.

I'm really obsessed with this brand. Fragrances are sensual, nostalgic. This one specially got me 3-4 compliments this weekend. Only got a sample of it and thinking about get a full bottle soon. The chocolate and Irish works perfectly together.

Got this as a sample with another order and I need to wear it again I think.. when I first put it on it reminded me of cheap fruity lipglosses which tbh I kind of love lol. I feel like it's pretty powdery and there's still a solid scent on my wrist after applying maybe 7 hours ago.

I really like this scent. The first impression I got from this was wet ink, in the best of ways. The iris really comes through for me, and it's overall a pretty complicated scent start to finish. This will definitely get you kicked off an airplane.

Nice DHI alike fragrance, but overpriced IMHO. Very close, and good.

I got samples of all 5 of the recently introduced Dastan fragrances. Their target market is obviously young and wealthy Americans, based on the scent profiles. 4 of the 5 are very sweet. Light Breeze targets young men. It is a summer/warm weather fresh citrus fragrance. I can see a young guy driving his Jeep Wrangler to the gym, taking this out of his gym bag on the floorboard, and spraying way too much on before he smiles and confidently saunters into the gym. Its opening is fantastic for about 60 seconds, and then it gets very synthetic and off putting very quickly. Game of Joy and You? are very sweet and feminine. These are for my daughter. All 3 of these seem like they would appeal to people who used to like Carolina Herrera, Rabanne and JPG fragrances and now want something slightly more mature and classy, but they are still very young and mass appealing in their architecture. None of these three are something I would be interested in. Five Senses is a "tobacco lite" fragrance. It is unisex and also very sweet, too sweet and immature for my tastes, but I can see people liking it. The most pronounced note to me is a very sweet, synthetic apricot. This is blended with vanilla and a very, very faint tobacco note. 7/10 is being generous. That leaves us with the only one I like, Love Flame. It is a rooty orris/iris fragrance with hints of chocolate, lavender, vanilla, cardamom, sandalwood and even more subtle hints of many other things. It is the most mature, interesting and complex of the line. If I had to pick something it reminds me of it would be older formulas of the original Valentino Uomo EDT, the one with chocolate, hazelnut and coffee accords, That is $60-$80 for a 100 ml bottle at discounters right now. I like Love Flame enough to think about getting a bottle if I ever saw it for a good price ... with a current retail price of $275? No way. I think the line should be priced at $185. In summary, I can see a certain person liking each of these fragrances, but I am not that person. That person is 16-29 years old, and they are very early on in their fragrance journey. I am adding an addendum on 4/6/25 to my original comments from about a month ago. I felt like it was necessary to be fair to Dastan to express my change of heart about Love Flame. I did originally like it, as I stated, but now a month later ... I love it. I have been given so many Dastan samples this past month that I amassed 12 ml of Love Flame. I used the first 2 ml sample up, and then another, and then a third. Love Flame grew on me from a like to a love over those 6 ml lol. So I wanted to be honest and fair and say that I think Love Flame is really good. It definitely reminds me of Valentino Uomo EDT and Valentino Uomo Intense, and I love those two sibling fragrances. This smells like their cousin. The orris/iris in combination with the chocolate accord is intoxicating, strong and delicious. I still dislike the rest of the line and I still think the line is overpriced, but Love Flame is definitely the least overpriced lol. If I see Maxaroma put Love Flame on sale, I would buy a bottle. And they did recently offer a special where if you buy the 100 ml bottle you could choose any 10 ml Dastan travel spray for free. So I do recommend at least sampling Love Flame and judging for yourself, but it is now definitively on my radar, and I recommend that it be on yours.

Bought decants of game of joy and love flame. Not a fan, too sweet and feminie leaning, hell it’s full on feminine. One is more a more complex DH and the other is a fruit bomb. I don’t usually scrub but both were cloying, to me at least. I’d definitely buy this but as a gift, for the other half. She already has the decants

I’m not one to say somethings overpriced, but this right here is absolutely 100% overpriced. It’s Dior Homme Intense but not nearly as good or as smooth. An official decant sample from the brand is what I am basing my perspective on.

Bought this blindly and I am neither impressed or disappointed. Will probably need to wear it more consistently to get a better feel for it.

I wanted to like this one. House of Dastan makes some really good unisex frags... but this is bad. Smells like a stink bug. Like the actual bad smelling musk they leave on you when disturbed. I dare you to compare irl.

To be honest, I am not sure what this fragrance wants to be. It has a bit of sweetness as if it is trying to be a gourmand but that is besieged by so many other competing to be noticed that the fragrance loses it's definition if it had any to begin with. I don't dislike it but it's nothing I'd want to buy. Neat bottle, though. ✨

smells amazinggggggg!! a smooth, spicy perfume.. i get a mix of vanilla, lavender, and musk. animalic without coming off too dirty but it's still soft with a kick. for the price and performance tho? idkkk, gonna look around for similars

Iris and screamwood. Why do houses keep using that awful note? Kills everything and makes my nose burn. This was wasted effort.
