You?

House of Dastan You? is one of the weirdest and most oddly addictive fragrances I own. This is definitely not a safe blind buy type of scent. The muskiness is polarizing, and I honestly think a lot of people would dislike it. Even I think it smells weird. There is something about it that almost does not smell real, like this strange mix of fig, milkiness, musk, soft sweetness, and perfume-like warmth. It has this creamy, slightly fruity, musky quality that feels beautiful and unsettling at the same time. What makes it so interesting is that I do not always know if I fully love it in the moment, but something about it keeps pulling me back. It has this odd addictiveness that is hard to explain. The fig gives it a soft fruity sweetness, the milky quality makes it creamy and smooth, and the musk gives it this strange skin-like heaviness that makes it feel almost alive. It can definitely become too much. More than three sprays can get cloying fast, and even for the wearer it can start to feel heavy or overwhelming. This is not something I would overspray or wear casually without thinking. It has to be controlled, because that muskiness and milkiness can take over. But that is also part of why I like it. It is not basic, clean, fresh, or easy. It is strange, creamy, musky, slightly fruity, and oddly beautiful. Even when I do not love it as much in the moment, I still want to smell it again later. That is what makes You? special to me. It is polarizing, weird, addictive, and one of the most unique fragrances in my collection.

Something about it puts me off, like a thick, lotion-y, almost medicinal note, but that's only when sniffing my hand. From far away, I don't get it. I like the citrus aspects of You?, and the fact that the floral aspects are subdued and not up front. I wouldn't mind getting a bottle of it. Smells different enough from everything else I own or have smelled. It makes me feel really good and puts me in a different headspace, like I feel I'm dressed nicely and am gonna travel even if I'm at home lounging in my underwear, ha-ha! I wanted to share something I learned: When you receive your orders of fragrances you wanted, if you received free samples, don't smell them that same day. That'll skew your perception, because you'll be honeymoon-ly smelling the fragrances you finally received, and if the samples are too different from them or from your preferred scent profiles, you will dismiss them as unlikable and miss an opportunity to potentially fall in love with something you are not into. Smell samples on a different day, preferably when you haven't worn any fragrance. Why? You won't be biased towards your preferences and you will judge the scents on their own merits. I made that mistake with You?, which I initially disliked and put away. I revisited it months later after stumbling upon the sample and, even though I was wearing different scents on my arms and legs (I wear like four at a time at home, ha-ha), I still managed to give it my undivided attention and was surprised at its complexity and nuances.

It blew me and my wife away. I picked up You and Game of Joy on blind buys and You has gotten me so many compliments. I was in San Antonio for the NBA finals and was complimented 3 times that I smelled very good. This fragrance plays as a all year any time fragrance that can be signature. Hot summer day. Clean tee shirt and shorts. I dont know what the spoiled milk dislike comments are about. Matter-of-fact I'm fisxing to put on 2xtra sprays 😁

You is one of those fragrances that you need to spend some time with it. I have tried with a sample. Sprayed it on 4 different people and we got different performance out of it. Some people got Fig notes more, some Jasmine was more dominant and others the sandalwood and milky notes. It reminds me of our Escentric Molecule 01 is, does not work for everyone, but if your skin and body likes it's just a beast. .

Got this as a sample with my last Maxaroma order... and what a beautiful smell. I'll be honest I read the reviews below and when I smelled it on paper all I could smell was crayons lol.... but on skin it's much different. Very creamy, the sandlewood is amazing and the fig/pear give it a really unique light fruity scent. This is a long lasting fragrance and I’m not a big fan of the dry down as much as I am the opening. After a few hours, the fruits are gone and it’s really just the sandalwood and the crayon smell whatever that is.... Maybe the white chocolate or the milk? But I wish that was toned down a little bit.. Overall a like for me but not a love.

I like this perfume BUT it is way over priced...it shouldn't be more than $170 at all.. For this first hour the projection and the village is great but after two it is just become a skin scent. The dry down is reminding me Gntonic..It is a good milky smelling perfume but again too pricey and I wish the longevity was good.

Respectfully, this is nasty. I’m so mad I smelt this sample. I knew better!! I knew that milk note was going to grape me of my peace. This fragrance smells like boiled milk that’s overflowed a pot that’s been forgotten about on the stove. It smells very similar to crema di latte, which I hate. This type of milky scent should be banned — it just stanks. Why would anyone want to smell like dairy??

I received this as a free sample with a Scent Split order. The musk here reminds me of D’annam’s White Rice. Unlike White Rice, You? is a really heavy, awkward, milky-musky-fruity fragrance that kind of reminds me of separated Starbucks Pink Drink. The musk and woods in this are screechy against the softer fruits that really deserved to shine. You can pick them out in the curdled milk-soaked fur caskets, but it’s so faint. Edit: The fumes remaining on the morning after remind me of being swabbed with iodine in the hospital. Just foul. No thank you...

If your skin doesn't smell sour with lactonic notes then this MAY work for you. This smells like curdled milk and berries on me. You can tell its well made I really like this house but I know better....the lactonic notes in Cruz del sur did the same thing to me. I can't tell you anything else about this other than I scrubbed off the sourness and I'll be putting this away.

There is a cleanness I like about this fragrance; it smells like being fresh out of the shower. But overall I find it... I don’t know... uninspired. Is it pretty? I guess. Does it feel like art? Not really. It’s like a turn-your-brain-off rom-com bottled into a fragrance. I think it might be growing on me though. I will return to it at a later date.

This is awful... it’s realistic milk with pear and bergamot, which gives acidity like vomit... Maxaroma is pushing these fragrances and they even dare to charge over $250... insane! The one that is a little better is game of joy, but very uninspiring. These should cost max $80 because of the bottle that is very pretty.

This is one of the worst things I've been unfortunate enough to smell. It instantly reminded me of medicine gummies I had to take as a child and I was revolted. I nearly threw up it was so bad.

This came across very waxy. lasted about 5 hours. Took me back to grade school where I spilled out all the crayons from the box...this one is Yellow. Bright, clean, creamy & approachable

Very strong, sharp and woody scent from the bottle. On the skin it smells much fruitier and citrusy, while slightly stale. Creamy but still quite sharp.

sour milk and body odor, genuinely disgusting. i’ve yet to encounter a good fragrance from this house, unfortunately.

This is probably one of my favorite Fig fragrances. It's so creamy and slightly sweet.
