L'Artisan

I love the fact that the House of Iyrah is a small independent black owned niche (at least I would say the quality and smell of their frags smell very niche like and definitely not designer) fragrance house that's based out of Atlanta, Ga. which is exactly where I live as well is such a great thing so I feel everybody needs to support these smaller indy fragrance houses especially this one cuz I'll just tell you I've only tried like four of their frags and all of them were exceptional but this particular fragrance right here, L'Artisan smells absolutely incredible! Very professional yet a little boujee smelling with some very seductive vibes to it as well. I get a little spicy ambery note with a woody base with hints of leather with maybe a touch of animalic notes but honestly I barely get any of that. This a fragrance that I would say is easily full bottle worthy and I fell they have this one priced just right. I found out about this fragrance and the brand itself from watching one of if not my favorite fragrance reviewer's Max Forti who is one of the best in the game and when he said that this particular fragrance blew him away I absolutely had to have it and man was he right. This fragrance smells incredible and again this is one you definitely have to check out for sure! 1000% thumbs up!!!

I recently discovered House of Iyrah at a beautiful fragrance boutique in Alpharetta, GA called The Scented Cottage. I was profoundly pleased with the level of quality and effort invested into her fragrances. L'Artisan smells very high profile, luxurious and very much a statement maker. Unisex with a noticeably masculine edge. A very classy take on leather. I agree, L'Artisan by HOI does resemble Tuscan Leather (Tom Ford). I might add Clive Christian C, Black Saffron (Byredo) and even Widian London. However, there are subtle differences between the 5 fragrances. With Tom Ford and Byredo now having been acquired by corporate giants and undergoing constant reformulations, Widian, Clive Christian and House of Iyrah are leading with this scent profile. I personally feel L'Artisan is the more polished and superior choice. I also prefer L'Artisan because the fragrance unfolds differently and takes you on an olfactory adventure that isn't quite so familiar.
