Starts off rough with a dry and not so easy to take raw orris note. It's a brutal note even for iris lovers. But it settles into a soft and sweet and oh so natural-smelling heliotrope/tonka/oud fragrance. I get the ''Questions in a World of Blue' reference enough although it is probably the least Twin Peaks-ish of the trio.Yet another fragrance I have discovered pairs really beautifully with Lutens ISM. Edit: After some time, this has become a favorite of mine. It’s an interesting take on iris that works the ingredient into warmer territory of heliotrope and tonka. It’s what Van Cleef and Arpel’s Bois d’Iris should’ve, could’ve been. I find the combination of heliotrope, iris, oud and tonka delicious and addictive.

this starts off with tonka, iris and oud. it's a bit dry and woody with floral components. the iris and heliotrope in this are just beautiful, and they bloom over time while the scent becomes gradually less woody, though the woods are still present in the background and more subtle. this is so lovely, one of my favorite HoM scents thus far.
