Sexy!!! This was one of my first houses when I started my perfume journey I purchased the discovery set with the 10 ml samples on website sale for 75.00 I'm glad I got it. I didnt know how great of a deal that was. Love is in the air was my number one purchase then 2nd was benevolence. Keep in mind I was not familiar with notes at this time and I personally never smelt anything like this. It is so sweet and deep and just mmmmm!! Then I later learned what orange blossom was. So I think this is beautiful and if you have the money id reccomend buying it. I however, I now have 5 orange blossom perfumes from different houses ranging from 300 to 25.00 and to me orange blossom is orange blossom if its the dominant note ,all mine smell 98% similar. It's orange blossom. If you are new to perfumes and you want to try a cheap but great orange blossom perfume try "Or" from pascal morabito 20 bucks smells like orange blossom. Then if you want a more luxurious version go for This version . Or pdm's oriana or the one that started it all. killians love don't be shy. Happy shopping! God bless!

I deleted my first review because I wasn't being completely fair to the fragrance after having only tested it a few times. I've since worn a good several ml out of my bottle and I have new thoughts. I still think it's like a cross between Kilian LDBS and Au Pays Neroli Blanc Intense, but different and even better thanks to the chalky bitterness running through it. Benevolence is sweet, not as sweet as the aforementioned two. It smells very high quality. The thing about House of Sillage is they're a luxury house that makes appeasing fragrances. They're not innovative. They seemingly gather inspiration from already existing fragrances and put their own spin on them using high quality ingredients, often making them better. Nowhere does HOS make this clam, it's just what I've noticed. Where they excel is quality of juice and packaging. The bottles are special and feel like a treat, as they should. Benevolence is mouthwatering, sweet orange blossom goodness. I love it.

Looks like Fragrantica has the wrong notes listed for this fragrance, compared to what the House of Sillage website says. Anyway, figured I’d chime in on the comparisons of Benevolence to Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy: When I wore Benevolence alone, I definitely did think it smelled similar to LDBS, from my memory. They both give me notes of bubblegum, so they at least have that in common. However, the next day I wore Benevolence on my left arm and LDBS on my right arm to compare directly. Then, the differences were really obvious. Benevolence has an almond undertone that combats/tones-down the sugar sweetness a bit. Meanwhile, LDBS has a powdered-sugar-marshmallow note that absolutely amps the sweetness up to the max bearable level. So, Benevolence is like a muted almond-oil sweet Hubba Bubba, while LDBS is like a powdered-sugar bomb sweet Hubba Bubba. I’d call them only 60 to 70 percent similar when you try them side-by-side.

To the reviewers here who have complained that this fragrance smells like Fruit Loops: So What?? Sorry you’ve become so old, crusty, and bitter that you can’t enjoy sweet perfumes? Some of us enjoy scents that remind us of childhood. This fragrance gives me the vibe of a happy kid who just ate a bowl of Fruit Loops and then dressed up in mom’s formal clothes and sprayed on some of her mother’s sweet almond perfume. It’s a fun vibe, and great for gourmand lovers. While the crusty old haters are complaining about Fruit Loops and the price and “how dare they make the bottle cute and sparkly?!?”, I will use my brain to purchase when there’s a perfectly reasonable 50% off sale, and enjoy my sweet childlike happy fragrance.

Got this at 50% off wouldn't pay full price. Love love love. I would say it comes off fun, playful, girly girl. Smells like cream soda or rootbeer float. I get the almond, orange blossom and jasmine if I look for it. But otherwise, it's a rootbeer with vanilla ice cream on top. Something fizzy about it. It's airy too, floats and fills up the room. I get anosmic to it sometimes then someone across the room tells me I smell good so I know it's there. Wouldn't say holy grail by any means. Not even sure I would repurchase but would completely enjoy my bottle.

My favorite one in this brand I can't write a real review for it because I have tried in perfume shop with a tired nose,still I'm sure that I'd love it and I'd love to own this amazing bottle It's an almondy,star anis vanilla scent, somehow in the vein of acqua di parma mondorlo Sicily and Dior HP,but it also has a healthy dose of orange flower,Jasmine and powder.it's sweet,warm,cozy,enveloping and delicious with satisfying longevity and great sillage I will definitely buy it whenever I have enough money

Yum yum. Reminds me of Kilian Sweet Redemption. I can see why people also would compare this Love don't be shy. But this is definitely closer to sweet redemption, as this not as sweet (this is still a sweet perfume though, don't get me wrong) as LDBS. Definitely has more orange flower and I can smell a touch of the bergamot. Best of the scents from this house in my opinion. I can't imagine a time of day/year where this fragrance would be inappropriate. Want a full bottle very badly (clearly haha)

Candy sweet sugar and vanilla with slight hints of spice from the star anise in the opening. Not really powdery to me and I also don't detect the lavender (which I don't want to smell anyway). It's not too sweet that it's "childish" but not a fragrance for the board room either... Overall, I think it's a nice floral for those who don't typically love florals. The longevity & sillage are top notch, as expected...over 9 hours on my skin.

I agree it has LDBS vibes, but I love this one. To me it is fall/winter version and I adore it. Depending on the person you might want both if you already have LDBS, I do. And the HoS bottles are amazingly beautiful, very high end. From the house Benevolence, Hauts Bijoux, whispers of Seduction, Whispers of Truth noir are my favorites. In the men’s line my husband and son love Hos4.

Look, it smells nothing like Kilian's Love. Also nothing like rootbeer or fruit loops or anything of that sort. It is smells like lavender cold cream or something. Not bad, but nothing at all like what I expected. Probably the lavender that throws me off, just not a big fan of lavender (association with soap??). But on the other hand, I also kinda like that cold powdery smell.

I just LOVE this woman. This fragrance reminds me of a morning sunrise in the town hills of Italy with the sun glowing warm on your face sitting outside a cafe, hair gently tossing in the breeze, and wafts of marzipan and flowers caressing your senses. This is a Woman scent! Complex and not too sweet. You're grown, confident, put together, and love refinement.

This is a gorgeous fragrance. It smells expensive. The lavender note stands out but doesn’t overshadow the others. Could be worn sparingly during the summer but like others mentioned, this is a winter fragrance. Not worth the full price (as with all other HOS fragrances) but definitely worth purchasing when there’s a sale.

An expensive smelling, sweet vanilla with hints of almond and orange. It's very nice but not sure I would buy a full bottle of it. July 2020 update: the longer it sits on your skin the more intoxicating it becomes. I sure as hell am not paying $300 a bottle for it but might consider a used bottle.

Gorgeous scent. Love. Want. But then it hit me... I have this scent..... PERDIZIONE by Nobile 1942. So side by side they are VERY close. You are getting a sweet ethereal orange blossom with vanilla and almond notes. Very pretty. update: new fragrance out - DEVOTION by D&G. very similar vibes.

This has the smooth vanilla that was used in Mancera's Velvet Vanilla and I love the vibe of them both ~ this one has a lime note sometimes I detect orange but they smell quite similar to me. If you like this without the lime note I would recommend Velvet Vanilla from Mancera.

Similar scent profile as LDBS but more syrupy sweet and intoxicating. In my opinion, LDBS is light enough to wear year round. Benevolence is more of a cold weather scent. Cozy, yummy, and sweet. I blind bought this on sale a while ago and I am still in love!

I love this one. It definitely smells like root beer to me. This is my favorite from the sample pack I purchased. Maybe it gives me more of a 1990’s vibe from my youth as it is a stronger scent. Very addictive from my perspective.

At every turn I find HoS Naysayers, I am not sure what elicits such, I dare I say anger, I mean reading a review with the phrase "a polished turd" (nice) is just ridiculous. And even though I personally do not love this one in particular, Benevolence only because I do not enjoy super sweet fragrances like many, many people do. The quality is there, and the high level of oil in their fragrances is fabulous, unlike any I have seen. Saying the longevity is trash is just not true. This lasts and lasts forever! Maybe it somehow senses those that already hate the house and want to make a quick exit, who knows. I love the House of Sillage and the quality is amazing. And like the example I used before, it feels hauntingly uncool to be so harsh not unlike dissing a girl who is pretty before you really know her, because she cannot possibly be beautiful and a good person with a great personality. I am really confused about the level of emotion some have against this house. Just because they have drop dead gorgeous bottles, the kind a lot of ladies would want to own? That is true, the bottles are amazing and I love owning them, it makes the higher price tag worth it to me. It's an experience to open one and the excitement happens every time. But I think those that say it is all about the cupcake are dead wrong. There is no way people would buy these just for the bottle, none. Some of the juice is absolutely amazing! And honestly, many that buy these can afford to try the best of the best, though price doesn't always correlate to quality. Though I am not one of those with unlimited income, I have managed to purchase many fragrances, Tom Ford, Amouage, By Killian, Parfum de Marley, Bond No 9, J Malone, Bryredo, Xerjoff of course D&G, Dior, Chanel, Hermes, etc. Some of their fragrances hold their own against any of these. And saying this is a dupe of this or that, is a bit overboard, as all houses do the to some degree. Certain things become popular and so the houses try to make their own version, with a their own twist. Now, to Benevolence, it is too sweet to me and I agree this one is similar to By Kilian Love, Don't Be Shy. It has the same sweet, marshmallow and orange blossom mix, BUT I think it mellows a bit more and doesn't sustain the sharpness as much as Love which I personally like, that much sugar is just very hard to sustain in my book. It is a very lovely, long lasting scent I think would be a fine blind buy if you like Love Don't Be Shy and other sweet fragrances. Further, I think I would opt for this one before Love or Parfums de Marly Safanad (who both are very expensive, but not as nice of a bottle as HoS;) You will really enjoy this one from the HoS, Benevolence and of course, you will sit and stare at the Swarovski cupcake (and if you can find the LE bottles on sale, they are breathtaking and the one for Benevolence has a gorgeous green enamel). Amazing, don't we all want to smell great and look great.

On first spray Benevolence smells like root beer, and I LOVE it! MMMMMMMMM!! And then it dries down to Love Don't Be Shy with lavender instead of orange blossom. I am not the biggest fan of lavender but it's done very well in this perfume and is very sweet so it doesn't seem mature. Very sweet and comforting and I really enjoyed my first wear of Benevolence! It has great longevity but sits closer to the skin after the two hour mark on me, but is not a skin scent. The bottle is gorgeous with the golden cap and the crystals! Even the darker color of the juice is very pleasing to look at. I would say that if you would like a version of Love Don't be Shy with lavender, check this one out! Edit 12/04/23: After watching Greta Beth (on Youtube) where she ranked the House of Sillage Signature Collection, she named Benevolence as her #1 and that got me to thinking that I needed to wear Benevolence again since I hadn't worn it since that first time when I had got it (not the biggest fan of lavender). Oh my goodness, I thought I liked it before but now...it's absolutely STUNNING!! I get very sweet orange blossom and lots of creamy vanilla and not as much lavender now! Throughout the day I just kept getting yummy wafts of creamy vanilla and sugar and delicious sweetness and now I can't get enough!! She has turned into one of my favorite perfumes in my entire collection. Thanks to Greta for reminding me that I owned this gem!

I’m not sure about the Killian referenced below and voted similar above, but this indeed does smell similar to so many others, including two perfumes that have passed my way; Safanad and Mandorlo di Sicilia. But unlike the two I mentioned, this is extremely natural and realistic, and it almost makes me feel like an idiot for liking it so much. I often have trouble with both almond and especially orange blossom, as it can come across like a root beer soda or in the case of almond, like a synthetic, headache note. On the other end is Benevolence, smooth and sweet in an extreme way, and drying down into a floral, powdery almond and vanilla cloud. I am smitten not only with the scent, but also the cupcake bottle. This is my first test of anything by this brand. It’s not going to win any originality awards but it is a big crowd pleaser and if you can handle uber sweet, it’s also easy to wear. My only negative is that it’s a tad too sweet for me. But wow, what a darling scent with very good performance.

I’m not sure what to think of this. The juice is so dark that it stained my arm. Granted, I’m super fair skinned, but that’s the first time I’ve had that happen before. For what it’s worth, the color of the sample I tried is more similar to the photos listed for Benevolence’s Limited Edition. As for the scent, I don’t get much of anything. Something a little bitter and sour. I tried this from the Signature Sample Set, which was bought secondhand. The other fragrances have been fine, but maybe Benevolence turned for some reason? Edit: My sample was definitely spoiled. Took a gamble when I saw a fb selling secondhand for a great price. If all the listed notes are present, they’re very well blended, because I’m only pulling one warm, sugary scent. Root beer, as many have mentioned, isn’t a bad way to sum it up! Seems like a nice date night scent for spring or fall - maybe even a cool summer night. I’d definitely pay the HoS’s official sale price (about $160) for this when my current bottle runs out.

the bottles look like luxury jeweled mushrooms. Benevolence is an extremely powerful vanilla, purest vanilla blended with orange blossom and a little powdery note. I could not smell star anise, which is normally an overpowering note, pleasant but dominant. It's a beautiful addictive scent that really washed out my brain. I kept smelling the paper and my wrist all the time. It smells a little bit new world to my nose, very big and loud, not a subtle multi-layered evocative scent. It's something I would smell on a rich overdressed lady with big blond hair from a movie set in California. Nothing I look like. This perfume is rather a brick on your head but what a luscious brick it is! The name is weird but it makes sense for a perfume that makes you feel enveloped in sweetness and delight. Great lasting power.

The opening for Benevolence is a dead ringer for Kilian Sweet Redemption - an extremely candied, rootbeer-y orange blossom. It settles into a somewhat powdery orange blossom, almond and lavender scent. Definitely a very sweet scent (like most from this line), it reminds me of a candied version of L’Artisan Séville a L’aube. The Kilian scent is a close twin, but it was too rootbeer-y on me and the orange blosssom had an off note. Benevolence has a lovely lavender note and the bitter almond (which is nutty, not the pure powder almonds of the loukoum genre) to keep the sweetness in check. I feel like Marie Antoinette from the Sofia Coppola movie when I wear this - pastel sweetness. It’s not really my style but I still really like it!

I really like this and several other fragrances from the House of Sillage. This is reminiscent of Love Don't Be Shy by Kilian, but not exactly the same. The dry down is completely different. Like most of the HOS fragrances, this doesn't great projection or longevity on the skin or clothes. This one is better than a few others, but doesn't compare to other niche fragrances. If the scents lasted longer, I'd be the first in line to purchase. But as it stands now, I just can't justify the $300+ price tag just for a pretty bottle. I did get the travel-sized because it was on sale. **UPDATE** I couldn't justify $300, but when it was on sale for 60% off, it a cupcake for me. :-)

Benevolence ~ I blind bought this as most of these notes are favourites of mine however I'm not a big fan of almond at all. The top notes quickly dissipate and then you’re induced in an eye rolling seductively sweet vanilla, sugar and orange blossom cloud. I really like the exceptionally gentle lavender, jasmine and musk in the far background. A few hours in and there is a distant nuttiness that I'm surprised I like. It’s warm, slightly powdery and gentle with exceptional longevity. A cooler weather go to for snuggles. A big like for this scent and stunning bottle in my collection ❤️

At first Benevolence smells like a root beer syrup. Once it dries down, it smells like orange blossom and marshmallow. It's very sweet, and as a gourmand fragrance lover, I really enjoy that aspect. Benevolence is also cloying and has great longevity. It lasts for many hours and the scent will surround you and fill a room if you spray too much. As expensive as it is, it better be long lasting.

Purchased this because it's often compared to Kilian Love Don't Be Shy, which it does not remind me of at all. Sniffing them side by side, they are very different. Benevolence has Bergamot and Lavender which makes the scent profile very different. I like it, but I don't love it. I won't repurchase once my bottle is finished.

A hard liquor splash of orange flower water spiked with amaretto, made clever with spice, then a dump of vanilla sugar heavy enough to hurt the head. This smells like that sassy chef at the corner bakery who drinks on the job and sets aside cupcakes for the cops who give her a ride home.

At first sniff this is way to sweet but it settles into a pretty gourmand white floral. Kind of like orange blossom cupcakes with orange blossom, jasmine tea and vanilla frosting. But in a good way. Not to home candle like. This would get men that love sweets falling at your feet.

I really like this, it's soft and smooth with a hit of citrus to keep it a bit more interesting. Still, I wouldn't spend A$500 on a FB at full price.

Ice cream with a touch of licorice.

This is a natural and warm scent. Something about it is giving me a medicinal quality which I do not care for, maybe that is the star anise? I love almond, vanilla and gourmand so I thought this would be right up my alley but something is throwing me off from liking it. This is a fall fragrance IMO. I am picking up on the lavender, orange, almond and sugar which are nice. But to my nose, this reads boozy sweetness, not feminine/light sweetness if that makes sense. Luckily in the dry down the sugar and orange blossom come out to play more. I wish the vanilla was more prominent (my favorite from this house is Hufflepuff). Some of the comments say root beer and 100000% I smell only that now. I feel a lot of HoS collectors list this as their favorite or top 3. But I would not repurchase.

The person below (@amyaz) has this exactly right. Benevolence smells so similar to Kilian Sweet Redemption (not Love don’t be shy). Benevolence is an orange blossom fragrance; it’s a sweet floral, and not so much about marshmallows or cotton candy. It’s nice but I already have several orange blossoms I love (such as Perdizione by Nobile 1942, and Kilian Sweet Redemption, L’Artisan Seville a l’Aube, and Parle Moi Guimauve). I find those I’ve listed to be better than Benevolence but if you don’t already have a sweet OB collection then by all means give this a go. You really would never be sad to have this lovely bottle on display. It has moderate longevity & sillage, too. Since the price is so high, I’d rather have 2 bottles of Perdizione and overspray it with wild abandon.

I do not get much sweetness from this. I get the orange blossom, jasmine, and musk with a light hint of lavender and just a little sweetness. I wish I found this to be syrupy or sweeter than Love Don't Be Shy, because I love really sweet perfumes. It's a lovely, grown-up orange blossom. It's office and event friendly in that the sillage is intimate and it is not going to offend anyone. It reminds me a lot of Guimauve de Noel or Mon Precieux Nectar. LDBS is one of my favorite perfumes, and orange blossom is the only similarity I'm picking up on between the two. Everyone's skin is different. I wish this was a little sweeter and a little stronger. But it's not bad by any means.

This is fine but honestly, how many Love, don’t be shy dupes do we really need?? In a market saturated with orange blossom/marshmallow combination, I think i need something a little more original. There is a note in the background of Benevolence that makes me recall a public toilet, perhaps the jasmine? It goes a little too indolic on my skin... I’ll stick to Love, don’t be shy or Sintra or Safanad for this kind of scent profile and Benevolence, while nice, is just blah compared to the three mentioned above. Not to mention the astronomical price asked for it...🙄 no thanks!

I blind bought a second hand travel spray of this. I still can't get over how much this smells like Froot Loops, which I love, but not in an expensive fragrance. I'm keeping it for the LOLs and to remind myself that expensive doesn't always mean good. I might wear it to a fancy restaurant if the mood strikes me to smell "different".

Almondy sugarbomb - reminds me some candies from chilehood. Not sure if person should smell like this, better would be as room fragrance or aroma candle. I feel really confused about this. It's not unpleasant, but somehow it is too artifical...

Smells exactly like Dr Pepper to me. I enjoy it though.

Benevolence is Identical to Parfum de Marly Safanad. It smells like a quiet/soft soapy orange blossom, with some white florals. I am quite disappointed in this fragrance. Based on the cost and raving reviews, I expected to be swept off my feet into the most luxurious fragrance bliss. I expected projection to the skies and a scent that smelled of the finest and sweetest ingredients. I bought this mainly because a number of reviewers stating that it smelled like by Kilian’s love don’t be shy, yet it does not at all. Not even a close comparison. I do not intend to bash this brand House of Sillage. Its just that at this time the fragrances I have tried form the line don’t seem to smell or perform very well. I love perfumery and delight in finding great fragrances. I do wish Benevolence was more original, lasted longer and projected more. I hope I am able to sell this to a good home.

In a word. ROOT BEER. Glad I tried it before my shower. Yikes what a strong and unpleasant scent. PM if you want my sample. Maybe it will smell better on you.

i love this line, i love strong sweet scents too- but this fragrance is nauseatingly potent and strangely rootbeer-y on me. not my favorite.

I am NOT understanding the hype of this, AND the comparison to love don’t be shy. Granted I haven’t even tried love don’t be shy but the way everyone describes it I pictured it smelling like this super sweet powdery marshmallow floral fragrance. This smells like root beer and motor oil. I’ve been trying to wait on the dry down but it is sooo strong and is making me nauseous. If this is what love don’t be shy smells like y’all can have it. I would NEVER. Only good thing is the Sillage, based off the house name I understand that their juice is A1. This is NOT for me

This is a seriously gross version of LDBS. So glad I only bought a sample spray. I kept trying it for weeks hoping it would change or I would like it but nope, it started gross and ended gross. Maybe 60% of the LDBS DNA. It’s an insult to call this a dupe or a clone or anything of the sort.

Yummy! This stuff is really good. But it IS VERY similar to Love, Don't be Shy by Kilian. I would say they are siblings (but not twins). I own a full bottle of Love and a 5 mL decant of Benevolence and have had time to do some comparisons. I think if you want to go head-to-head, the Kilian is the winner, sorry. BUT that's only because I LOVE sweet and heavy scents. If you prefer the sweetness/powder/heaviness toned down, I would go with Benevolence! To me, Benevolence starts off very floral, with a lovely orange blossom that is not as sugary sweet and powdery as the Kilian. It is still sweet- sweeter than Elie Saab Le Parfum, for example, but not too gourmand. But then the hint of almond and the vanilla sugar come though and it becomes more yummy, sweet, and edible. If you consider Love to be the full fat, heavy whipping cream version, then Benevolence is the low fat version. I don't find the longevity of Benevolence as good as Love. Love is more along the lines of Dolce and Gabanna Pour Femme Intense, like diving your nose into a plastic bag full of marshmallows (with some orange flower thrown in). Some people may be turned off by that, in which case they would prefer Benevolence. Is there room for both in my wardrobe? I'm not sure. I just purchased a bottle of Benevolence from a friend but I will try to use up my decant first before diving into the full bottle. I'm not just sure I NEED both. Although I can envision that maybe Benevolence is better for work or a more formal occasion, and Love could be fun for anything more casual than that. Still undecided on whether I need both but I can say at least that Love is Love, and if I had to choose one, it would be that.

Actual Notes (from the House of Sillage website) - Top Notes: Almond Oil, Bergamot - Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine - Base Notes: Vanilla, Sugar Incredible performance, longevity is 12+ hrs. The trail is beautiful. I mean they are called a House of Sillage for a reason. You can tell / smell they use raw high quality materials. Extrait de Parfum with 20 % oil concentration. Don't overspray. Almond marshmallow goodness sprinkled with vanilla sugar. The orange blossom becomes more prominent towards the middle / end of the day, and you can really tell that it is not synthetic. Not linear, but doesn't change like crazy. The cupcake bottles are stunning, pictures can't capture all that beauty. Lasts for days on hair and clothes. It's yummy and sexy but innocent at the same time. The name is very fitting. If kindness had a scent... In my opinion it is way better than Love by Kilian. Lasts much longer, better sillage, and it's more interesting and multidimensional. Wait till they go on sale 50% off on the official website. You can get 2.5 oz of extrait de parfum for $180. Compared to Kilian Love Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz for $240. Kilian has been reformulated, and doesn't last. If you think that crystal cupcake bottles are tacky, they have travel kits with glass vials and various designs of travel cases. At first I thought that those bottles were tacky, but they are not, they are little pieces of art. Like Fabergé eggs. Beautiful "in person". Cupcake design matches their fragrances, mostly gourmand and sweet. Safanad is too floral and soapy for my liking. This one is sweeter (sugar note), and I prefer orange blossom in Benevolence.

This was love at first sniff) Honestly, I had never purchased such expensive perfume before and at the time I tried it first I didn't even know the price. And didn't ask. Most perfumes - even Chanel N5 and Dior HP - last on me for only 30-40 minutes, and then no-one can smell them on me (I've asked to exclude the possibility of me just getting used to a fragrance). So I usually get a sample of what I like anyway to test for a couple of days whether it will give me a headache, whether it will last on me long enough and whether I will still like it afterwards. The sales rep at the Bloomingdales where I first saw House of Sillage was weird and almost rude about giving me this sample, but her "generous" 10 sprays were enough for me to not be able to get this fragrance out of my mind. It does last. My husband confirmed even after 6 hours! Although I loved Benevolence so much I even had a dream about going to the store to buy it (I couldn't pull the trigger for like a week after I found out the price), I decided to go to another location to see if I may like something else from HOS or seal my decision on this one. I did seal it, but I also loved another one - Hauts Bijoux. Long story short, I had to get both. However, Benevolence still comes first no matter what. I love it so much I want to wear it every day, everywhere, every moment I breathe LOL I am not good at distinguishing the particular elements of a smell, but I can tell you this one is sweet in an expensive way. It smells as expensive as it actually is, so you won't feel cheated if you splurge. This is a very exquisite fragrance.

This is delightful!! It so reminds me of Love By Kilian. The fragrance is even the same color. It is so smoothly blended. Plenty of syrupy smooth eatable vanilla, a small bit of orange blossom with a sugar coating. Not a sugary mess like some. This is so smooth. Never harsh. Just well blended with the right amount of each note. I don't get the root beer mentioned. Or much of the other notes. If so they are well blended into this lovely concoction. It seems very gourmand to me. It's as if you can almost taste it. It is ever so slightly powdery in the dry down. Same goes for the musk note. But the vanilla is the main star of this attraction. I was given a manufactures sample in a swap. And I'm so pleased to have experienced it. Makes me want to further explore the house. And this now goes onto my want list. Longevity and silage are above average. Lovely wafts of these pleasing notes surround you like a soft cloud. Longevity is 5+ hours and still going.

I 100% agree with other reviewers stating that this is just too similar to Safanad by Parfums de Marly. IMO, Safanad seems to have better quality but the performance is good. Edit: ok I’m going to update my review here & say that yes, I can see the resemblance to Kilian’s Love, DBS & to PDM’s Safanad both. I would say this fragrance is somewhere in between those two. Meaning: Kilian’s is sweeter & punchier than this & PDM’s is more of a juicier Easter floral. For me I prefer to have both Kilian & PDM bc they are different enough from each other to justify having both & there’s something in the HOS DNA that doesn’t go well with my skin. Based on the price points of all three & wanting to be frugal, I’d just go with this & call it a day.
