HoS N.003

Well overdue review of one of my top scents - in my top rotation of 300 or so. Firstly, it’s not a ‘typical’ fresh marine scent as is claimed. For starters it’s performance in Sillage and longevity is clearly at no.1 with only Montale Aqua Gold and Acqua di Gio Profumo coming close with also a comparable linearity. For me it is also unusual as it has to me a green woody feel that more often than not makes me feel like I’m wearing a beautiful woody forest scent. This is mainly due to the very smooth but amazingly, awesome synthetic Akigalawood which sets a slightly dark woody feel. On top of this there is a pine and fir like coniferous layer which for me is what adds the fresh bouyancy which would appear to be the sage somehow working its magic. On top of this is maybe the tiniest of salt somehow sweetened by the other ingredients like a breeze blowing from the shore through a pine or fir forest taking the edge of the briny harshness. For me I always equate this first with A LAb on Fires Hossegor (which is woody) before Almost Transparent Blue or Lubin Itasca(again another classic wood) as say opposed to Montale Fougeres Marine/Aquagold though they all have a bright airy disposition which I love. Like HOS 001 there is a synth vibe - I’m sure it’ll either work in its favour for you or become its downfall. Either way If Marine Fresh and Wood is for you, try it. It’s performance is worth the price and as a fringe benefit the bottle with its push button sliding cap is always a hit when I show it off. Happy Smelling

Much spicier than I had initially anticipated, but this is not a bad thing for me. I get the sea notes which seems to be a combination of lemon, calone and a dash of mint. Immediately following is the sage which makes it's appearance quite boldly and steps out front for the majority of it's life. Once the top notes dissipate, you begin to get what they say is akigala wood, but comes off as more of a sandalwood. There is a tinge of a powdery nature which I can only attribute to the "sea notes" (maybe a little cashmeran?). It is not overwhelming to me, but rather a declaration of this fragrances presence and performance. Unlike a dryer sheet, you'll find HOS 3 to be clean and smooth with a bit of spiciness, and an attitude that appears will command attention in the warmer months. It's a most definite love for this guy!!! 👍

Reminds me of Beyond Paradise from Estee Lauder! I just did a side to side comparison and there are some differences: HOS003 is less herbal, more wearable and more uplifting. Just a bit better. But these two scents do share a lot of similarities. However, HOS003 is an ok scent, nothing special. 6/10 EDIT: A 6 is too low. This is actually a pretty good scent. 7,5/10 EDIT 2: 8/10 Starting to like it more and more. It is not too unique, but really well done and just nice. i really don't agree with wafaison who calls this fragrance synthetic. I find it pretty natural and realistic, actually. EDIT 3: Bought it! :) Sillage and lasting time are good. 2 Sprays are more than enough. It is quite lineair, but in a good way. From start to finish (which is 12+ hours) it stays fresh and well articulated. Great office scent.

Smells super fresh...like just got out of a shower fresh with a bit of spices. Pleasant and inoffensive smell. Perfectly acceptable for office wear or a night out. The opening can be harsh: One time I sprayed this and my wife immediately told me she didn't like it at all. However, there have been times when I sprayed it hours earlier and then she complimented how this one smelled not knowing she had previously told me she didn't like it. 8.3/10 ***Edit - I have since added Raees Luxury Edition to my collection. Save the $$$ and just get that. The scent profiles are very close, but Raees seems smoother and more wearable.

One of the best marine scents without any fish smell (tnx god🙏🏻) Its very high quality with great performance. But its not for kids. A gentleman scent👍🏻 Best in class in my opinion but the price point is a little high.

Very nice airy marine fragrance. Fresh, aromatic and aquatic. Not exactly niche even though the price is but it's a solid fragrance throughout its opening into the dry down. I enjoy it

This is NOT your typical marine fragrance. This is the very-much-so needed aquatic in the niche world to compete with those typical marine fragrances. To be clear, their is no "oud" in here like the main accords suggest. This is a classy, clean, superb, fresh-aquatic with a woody-herbal backbone. It starts off a bit funky with the salty volcanic rock coming on strong. It definitely smells a bit funky and overwhelming to start. I remember not liking this two years ago when I tested it out in the store. Immediately, on the card it smells odd which is why I discarded this fragrance originally. I then purchased a sample set from the HOS website for 25% off. It was only $18 for five samples. This was the only one that I truly liked. I gave it another chance and wore it out for a few days. Man, was I blown away! Once that volcanic rock settles and allows the marine notes, sage, and wood to appear this stuff turns into a magical scent. And...It lasts a long time. The whiffs I catch from this stuff are mouth watering...no pun intended. I wouldn't say this is the most unique stuff I have ever smelled, but this competes with the best aquatic designers with added quality, longevity, and sillage. In the end, I have always loved aquatics but they become too boring to me after a month. They are all the same chemical concoctions. This one is an exception. Once again niche showing its difference from designer. If you have the funds, do not settle for less for an aquatic! This is the real deal.

A typical fresh, marine fragrance. The sea note dominates with a not-so-marine airy freshness, supported by a mildly-spicy sage, & a light wood accord for character & depth. No salt nor seaweed accords. It's clean, fresh, light, & inoffensive. Almost soapy but not barbershop-y. Its a beautiful freshie but nothing beyond that on the spectrum of beauty. It smells like a well-made run of the mill designer fresh scent with a decent performance. Not even the best in that category. The Bvlgari Aqva line & the Armani Acqua di Gio are superior to N.003 in term of smell & cost. Smell-wise this similar to Issey's L'Eau d'Issey Sport but L'Eau Sport is much better, again, smell-wise & cost-wise. For $260 per 75ml bottle, I pass hardly. Like but pass due to the ridiculous price.

this is my second attempt at HOS. I have to say, i've been pretty disappointed with both scents. The disappointment mainly stems from originality. I find this and the other i have tried (batman) to be repetitive while being extraordinarily overpriced. Anyway...the scent itself isn't awful - I personally do not like it. There's a distinct note that i find displeasing - and i've experienced a scent very close to this before, but am struggling to remember what it was. Once it dries down, it seems to disappear slightly - but is still detectable. I feel really uninspired writing this review because I feel like the scent is pretty uninspirational...so...i'll end it. 4/10

Typical marine aquatic. Nice little infusion of sage. Little woody base. Balanced. Harmony is a little off. Nothing special. Somewhere between 🙂 and 😑.

According to the brand, this contains an aromachemical called Kephalis wood which is made by Givaudan. It feels like it's got a ton of this Kephalis chemical along lots of sage, calone and ambrox. I haven't worn BLV Aqva in a long time, so I can't recall if they smell similar, but I don't like this much. After the chemical blast dies down, it smells like a generic off the shelf blue shower fragrance like sauvage. Retail price is $285 on the HOS website, but it's marked down to $114. That tells me it's massively marked up. There's better acquatic frags out there for my money like Sara Baker Atlante, Erolfa, Sel Marin, Acqua Di Sale, and many others. I'll steer clear of this one and maybe use my decant as a car cologne or spray it on after a gym workout. Scent 4/10 Performance 6/10

I wanted to love it, especially given the only other review. It does have a delicious opening, salty, ambergris, but very different from the piercing Creed ambergris. This one is more... full and creamy, for lack of a better way to describe. And not in a good way, to me, but I happen to love the MI, Erolfa, SMW ambergris. It does indeed smell "like" driftwood, but only in the same way that a lemon skittle tastes like a lemon. It's not at all realistic, which admittedly is probably what they were going for. To me it is heady, cloying, synthetic. Lasts forever. Like Sandlot foreVER. Smells like the base of TF Oud Minerale to me... and I really hate Ouds. Fragrance rating: 8/10 Personal wearable rating: 1/10

اگه شماره ۲ رو ی آقای جوان ۲۰-۳۰ ساله در نظر بگیریم . شماره ۳ رو میشه ی آقای ۳۰-۴۰ ساله دونست که خودشو درگیر لایف استایل سن بالاتر نمیکنه. اما تمایلی هم به دنیای جوانانه نداره. مرد جوانی که به بلوغ رفتاری و کمال اندیشه رسیده ... شماره ۳ هاوس او سیاژ رو بطور مستقیم میشه به ادکلن آزارو کروم شباهت داد ... آروماتیک . آکواتیک . بالمی . کمی فلورال . کمی فلفلی و ... از نظر پرفورمنس هیچ برتری نسبت به دیزاینرهای معمول مثل همون آزارو کروم ندارم ولی شاید پایداری بهتری. رو به نمایش بگذاره ... از اون ادکلنهای خنک و چهار فصل اما سر سنگین و متین ... اگه از ادکلنهای آزارو کروم و سیلور ماونتین کرید و مفیستو سرژوف لذت میبرید قطعا این کالای لوکس شما رو بوجود خواهد آورد ...

A clean, fresh and aromatic aquatic. I love it. There is a hint of cucumber and melon at the start, then accents of sage and woods, and triple filtered sea water with a touch of salt. No fish or Chinese dish. But sea foam imagined as soap. I don’t associate aquatics with expensive smelling fragrances, but this one is indeed worth its price. It has enough naturality in its elements, and nuances, to stand as one of the best aquatics in my collection. ****(*)

I get a VERY strong powdery vibe from this. To the point is almost nauseating. Perhaps it's falling in the "sea notes" . I picked up a sample of this from Luckyscent a few years back and thought I liked it. Apparently not. Bad "blind" buy. Glad I didn't have to pay the full 300 on it

Starts off salty, with some green notes kicking in. It then gets a sort of beached driftwood smell, as in wood that was once wet. It is very pleasant, and lasts forever. Top notch.
