The Batman Vengeance

I smelled this through a sample card from another house of sillage perfume I bought and off of that card I was convinced to buy this. It's kind of a blind buy in my opinion because I couldn't even test it on my skin, but this was a VERY successful blind buy. My bottle is the 85th anniversary edition that I got on sale for 149 USD. To me the scent is fresh, a little woody, and quite sweet; truly unisex. The performance is outstanding with about ten hours on skin and a lot more on clothing. This thing projects very well for the first hour, and after that it radiates maybe a foot away for the next two hours. The sillage is also good which is surprising because a lot of HoS perfumes don't radiate despite the name. Batman can definitely be worn as a year round fragrance for any and all occasions, just like Sauvage, Aventus, Layton, etc. So if you're wondering about the compliment factor, here it is. This one is VERY good compliment wise. I want to preface this by saying I do not get a lot of compliments, especially from strangers. 99% of the compliments I get are from people I know such as friends and coworkers. I only wore this out twice and both times 5 sprays each. 2 sprays on each side of the neck and one on the back of the neck. First time I wore it I had dinner with a friend and he ended up telling me that I smelled really good. He was reluctant to say so cause he thought it would be awkward but he said it anyway. The second time I wore it was at a bar/pub with my coworkers and four of them kept going on about how I smelled so good. One of them commented further that "whatever you bought has to be worth it because look at all the compliments we're giving you." I promise you that I'm not one of those guys that stretch the truth and say you get all the compliments from wearing this and that. I go months without someone telling me I smell good. Other than the coworker that's also into perfumes but I think we don't really count that right...? Cause they already know you're wearing something. That's my experience with Batman and I would highly recommend you try a sample of it if you can. If I ever run out of this I'm definitely going to buy another bottle of it.

I love this fragrance for reference Im a female, & I find this fragrance pretty unisex, leaning only slightly Masculine. On a woman it wears dark, sexy, sweet, & intriguing. Something about it draws me in. What I think is making it more unisex is the Jasmine, Amber, and tonka bean. On my skin I mostly get tonka, amber, some airy light jasmine, & a woody earthy vetiver in the back ground, grounding the scent, bringing it all together & making it not lean too sweet/adding depth. I also love when my man wears this, it's just SO intoxicating imo. I intentionally went to repurchase the woman's batman hero but it hasn't been restocked so im pretty sure they are discontinuing it, I was very upset & decided to try the male version, but ive noticed with the other scents that they smell VERY similar to the female matching line sometimes in this line i actually find the male line better like with HOS- Passion the male one is actually sweeter, also the ruby flame is better then female version, reign, b/c reign is SUPER masculine imo(Deep rose, & leather thats it). So anyways when I tried this it did scratch my itch for Hero version of batman. Only difference is the women's this time, is slightly more sweeter/feminine with the Almond, red apple and magnolia, but other then that it's pretty spot on. Its a Love for me & my fiance, 9/10.

I would NOT have expected to like the fragrance as much as I do. I usually go for fresh scents. Aquatics, woodsy citrus frags, blues... I normally don't like vanilla scents at all that much. But Batman is incredible. I would call it a seductive vanilla freshie. The sweet notes are amped up, so I wouldn't over do it with the sprays. Anyway, I grabbed it because of the hype, and I get it now. The hype is real. I can see why it reminds people of Azzaro Most Wanted Intense edp. I have that, and it's okay at best... but I'd wear Batman 100 times over Azzaro. The quality is that much better. It also reminds me of Valentino Born in Roma. It's something along those lines. Designer-ish in approach. Easy to wear. Compliment getter. This is not hard to like. This is not a difficult niche fragrance that is complex. It's just a high quality seductive fragrance. I'm also surprised no one has mentioned that the bottle is like a Batman gadget itself. There was a cover over the atomizer/sprayer and I was trying to slide it off, twist it off, pull it off... no luck. There was a button on the bottle so I pressed it and the cover snaps over to the side, freeing the atomizer!

This fragrance is freakin amazing. It's basically a niche quality most wanted intense but not overly sweet and waaaaay better. The performance longevity and sillage is beast mode. I sprayed it on a shirt i was wearing and it literally stayed on it until I washed it and was still hints of it after I washed it. Great date night fragrance great for fall and winter and pretty much year round if you go easy on the trigger. I haven't gotten a chance to wear it in winter yet but I'd put every dollar I have that it will cut through the cold like a batarang. It's pretty expensive so I would wait for it to go on sale or if you don't want to risk not getting it because it's a limited edition fragrance then i would just blind buy it like I did, Imo it's blind buy safe. I most definitely recommend to at least sample it, it's a banger for sure although I agree and also wish they added a little leather in it but never know they could have at first but didn't turn out that great, either way it was love at first sniff for me!

This smelt so good on my husband. It was a blind-buy and such a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the women’s version of this scent didn’t work for me.

Even though I was expecting this one to be darker, way darker -like The Dark Knight-, it's not. It is not bad, not bad at all, but, you know, I wanted some Leather, at least. Longevity is good, I'll say around eight hours, projection is decent and the sillage is amazing. As much as I was expecting something else, what it is, is good enough to get a bottle, specially if you are a collector of all-things Batman. By the way, a new version just came out with the original Batman logo. Just know that it is the same note breakdown as this one.

I’m surprised how much I love this fragrance. This is a very masculine fragrance makes me feel like I’m actually Batman. It last really long on my skin, projects well but honestly I don’t recommend spraying more than 3 sprays it do get overpowering and annoying if it gets too much. The price is way overpriced, I wouldn’t pay the full retail price but the collection purpose I’m happy that I got it

Pretty good scent. Nothing groundbreaking. Designer level fragrance with higher quality and better performance than your average designer. The opening is very nice and honestly this is the best part before it dries down and basically smell a higher quality version of Azzaro's Most Wanted. In short... smells good but nothing new. Definitely overpriced. 6.8/10

Hmm. Preordered this and it arrived today. It’s...ok...for the price...hard pass. Smells very repetitive. Super heavy Tonka. The disappointment is high. It smells a bit like silver blue (mancera) and also a paco rabanne release in the silver flask (I think it was released in Europe and not in the US). Regardless, don’t waste your money like I did. 2/10

I've bought two fragrances directly from their website. The classic and Dignified. I love them both and I'm looking forward to picking up more of them. I received a sample card with my most recent purchase. Peel n smell type deal. This batman fragrance is very sweet and youthful. It reminds me of something like invictus. I don't find it very appealing for myself. It's probably because I'm 35+ and this is something I'd expect to smell on a young man ready for a night out on the town. Batman is a dark character and the film has been described as "noir" by reviewers so I wonder why they didn't go darker with this. I would've liked it to be a bit more brooding and less...happy? Check it out for yourselves, you might enjoy this if you like it sweet.

Simple testing from a sample card sent from HOS (seen in my Fragram pic above).. The blend of cardamom, bergamot, amber and tonka/coumarin give off a very similar vibe to the self titled fragrance from Sean John. Can’t comment on performance from this test card and unfortunately can’t give any more depth to my opinion but there is a similarity there. Hoping to get a sample and give a full review soon 🙏🏼

I’m digging this. It’s surprisingly delicious although as another here commented I could’ve dug a lil leather or maybe some tobacco or something to pull it down a bit. That being said you’ve got to peck this lightly like a woodpecker with a headache because that’s exactly what I believe you’ll give yourself n anyone around you if you lean too heavily. Very nice still

I don’t recommend buying any of the house of sillage fragrances for full price but they regularly go on sale for at least 50% off. Currently this fragrance is only $118 as opposed to the usual $295 so now is the time to try it. It is unfortunate however that they do not have samples of this particular fragrance.
