Whispers of Temptation

Clearly it's a bunch of amateur noses hating on this fragrance and that is the main problem with fragrantica. Temptation is a beautifully crafted rose/oud but not your typical middle eastern rose/oud done at nauseum by so many companies. Although lighter than I had hoped there is definitely a unique scent profile inherent. Is there real oud being used here? Probably not but the accord is very well done. This smells expensive and mysterious. Why do all women want to smell the same? I don't get it. Ladies whip this out on a club/bar night and I gurentee you will have men following you around as you're emitting this cloud of raw sex appeal! I wear this and think it's perfectly unisex

Looking at the notes for this, you would think this would be a heavy fragrance. It’s actually surprisingly airy. I waited until the weather cooled down to wear it, but I think you could probably wear it in any season. The opening is rose and saffron, with a light Oud and slight smokiness. The smoky note fades fairly quickly. The dry down brings a less airy Oud and suede or leather note. This is a very wearable Oud rose scent. It’s both sexy and sophisticated, with a presence that doesn’t overwhelm. Edit: Lately, I am only detecting the oud. It's a very dry oud and may be what is causing a slight medicinal opening. I like it, but I wish it had a touch of sweetness or more rose to make it feel more feminine. It's definitely a unisex fragrance, but I would test first, especially if you usually gravitate towards feminine leaning scents. After all, there are many beautiful oud and rose combinations out there for less money.

I agree with the review below, this is very light considering the notes. Singular oud/wet suede, not much of the floral aspect, or the sweetness you’d expect from black current/plum. For the price I’d expect more depth, more wow, but this is pretty meh.

Guess I’m one of those amateur noses mentioned by the below reviewer. Nothing but “singular oud/wet suede” for me as well. No men followed entranced in the wake of my scent trail (and this definitely boasts some sillage), but my friend (M) asked why I smelled like a new car. His nose must be amateur, too. Or, y’know, maybe this scent just doesn’t appeal to everyone or react identically with all body chemistry.

I smell nothing but leather/suede in this...and it’s nauseating. There’s no sweetness or depth, just leather. I wore this 2 days in a row and I couldn’t wait to shower it off. This is one scent that I wish didn’t last that long. Glad I only had a sample, would have been pretty upset if I purchased a full bottle.
