Piccadilly Circus

This is a beautiful under-stated marriage of dry lemon and bright Vetiver notes with just enough Lavender to support the union. A zesty opening soon gives way to a lovely, close-to-the-skin, masculine scent. Very classy, very Italian. If you want something that is soft and natural smelling this would be a safe blind buy. You will be very satisfied if you keep in mind that you can not over spray this. If, like me, you enjoy fogging yourself with an after-shower aura of manly bottled sunshine Hugo Parsons Piccadilly Circus will serve you well. You will get greater longevity in the humid summer months and perhaps even more by also spraying your shirt. Now, about this name! I've been to Piccadilly Circus. This scent does NOT conjure memories of a crowded London crossroad. Still there is something very British in the bottle. Maybe it's quiet way of being substantial while staying subdued.

I agree that the promotion sucks with this house but out of the 3 that I have tried, 2 are winners! This and Traditional are easily signature worthy scents. Can easily be worn for all seasons as it has some depth for the colder temps. It's a cold day here today. I have been running errands all day and this is still going pretty strong after 7 hours. It's more of a classic barbershop scent with a touch of woods and sweetness added in. If this were easier to sample, more guys would own it for sure. Lovers of the classic ADP scents will love this.

Okay, it's about a month later and I've just had the pleasure of spritzing myself with Terre D'Hermes. Now I can say that Parson's "Piccadilly" smells virtually the same. Not identical but even twins aren't really identical, are they? This is SO close to Hermes. Really, really close. It's not as complex as Hermes, a little raw, But if you want to save $50. here's your solution.

This is the second scent from Parsons I've tested and it's actually a perfect counterpart to Oxford Street which has a warm fall/winter mood to it, this will be equally satisfying on a summers day. If you had only two scents, these would cover year round and IMO be very pleasing. A musky lavender barbershop with italian lemon and vetiver, very pleasant indeed. Apart from the citrus and vetiver, I don't really see any comparisons to Terre d'Hermes as it lacks the pepper and patchouli. Main players are lemon, cedar, lavender, vetiver, musk and tonka. Quite safe but highly recommended.
