I'm finally able to list this one and review it!!! And so happy to because this one is criminally underrated! And I know a bit about the fragrance underworld... If you're afraid of the price point, get over it. You get what you pay for, and with this one you get a true EDP, so you only need to apply a fraction of what you would with a cheaper fragrance. Do the math and you'll come out ahead. - the quality here makes it a steal! As for the scent profile, this is a year-round, day/night fragrance like no other I've ever encountered. And I'm damn serious about what I'm going to say here... If this one was marketed in some of the heavier retail spaces, it would be a flagship fragrance that every other house would be trying to clone! Alas, it's a hard one to find (unless you find it in your ex-girlfriend's stepfather's collection... F.U. Gary! - the S.o.L. has passed!). Anyway, - When I first encountered it I was unprepared for the intensity of the fig leaf. The truth is, I was just not as familiar with the note, having only really experienced it in Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme (nothing like this one). Since then, I have had the chance to smell an actual fig leaf straight off the bush. The smell is not fruity at all. It really has a dry, paper-like, wood quality to it. I can tell you that this experience has truly made me appreciate the quality of this juice - probably the most all-natural scent profile I've ever encountered! And now, I really have to rate this as more of a wood forward fragrance. The cypress and vetiver are front and center here. A clean, dry, super-classy wood scent. Like the interior paneling of a skylight-seasoned Frank Lloyd Wright home. Let me tell you - this is a good thing... I have received more random complements from this fragrance than any other I own. As for the type of man that would wear this (I don't fit the profile) - he's a savvy, well-polished, fitted shirt kind of guy. Even his casual vacation shirts are fitted. He's a man of soft-power. No one fears this man, yet no one would ever dare cross him. He commands deference. Dare I say awe... Hell, he probably lives in that Frank Lloyd Wright house and that's why he smells like this. So if you want to smell like this guy (or his house), I would say, go ahead and pull the trigger on this one. It's a signature worthy scent if you want to present a refined, yet breezy and self-assured image. Again, when you do the math, the price per spray makes it a steal!

I find the opening rough. The fig is prominent in the beginning, but fades to a more tolerable level after around a half hour. This leans more casual than formal to me. On my skin both longevity and projection are significant. I suspect that the oil content is relatively high since the skin has that shiny and wet look after spraying. Nothing stands out to me. It's a "soft" and inoffensive scent. Still smells great once the fig settles down. I don't get an overly masculine vibe from this.

A beautiful cypress, slightly animalic and very creamy.
