Boss Alive Parfum

I think this is a an underrated perfume that will appeal to all leather/sexy fragrance lovers. After a few hours, it slowly fades into powdery, soft notes, but still retains its sexy side. This is the perfume you imagine independent, feminine women. In my opinion, it is a rather universal/non-polarizing fragrance, which may then result in lower ratings due to insufficient "originality". Again, I just seem to love it.

The opening is fruity and reminds me the Alive Intense version. But it disappears in 1-2 minutes and then it is sweet creamy woody and musky on me. I have to say, I fell in love with the scent - even if it is a bit oldschool.

This is delicious! Like apple pie with vanilla cream, yammy! I like the original too, but this one’s even better. (Notes listed on this site are incorrect in my opinion.)

If I would have to choose only one perfume to wear for the rest of time this would be it.

Category: Masculine, sensual Notes: This sprays on incredibly masculine, heavy on the leather with a twinge of freshness from the jasmine. The jasmine also makes it a little stingy, but that’s mellowed out by the vetiver which quickly makes an appearance. Eventually settles in an almost juicy leather base note with a background note of smokey, round vetiver and something mildly woody. Vibe: Wearing your boyfriend’s tee. Suave. Suede boots. Leather jacket. Cigarettes outside the bar. Autumn jumper. Motorcyclist. Black skinny jeans. Make-out sessions in the doorway. A cup of black coffee on a rainy afternoon. Picking songs at the jukebox. Jean shorts. Late summer nights. Kissing in the rain. Sillage: 2/10. Incredibly intimate, very low-key for a scent that is somehow also very bold. Longevity: 6/10. It’s still there after 4 hours of wear, but it becomes incredibly intimate after about 30 minutes and I assume it'll likely be entirely gone within the next few hours. Update: does not pass the 24 hour test. Wear: Day or night, it’s very mellow and intimate. I’d say this works year round, but the vetiver and leather together makes me lean towards calling this a fall scent. Something about it reminds me of rainy afternoons. Overall rating: 6.5/10. One of the more difficult scents I’ve had to rate. It smells good, like... REALLY good, but did I miss the memo? Is this really a woman's scent? This makes me smell like I’ve been rolling around the sheets with a man all night. Which I don’t hate, I mean, it can be the vibe sometimes if you’re have a very lonely, delulu moment and want to play pretend for a bit. But I don’t detect anything feminine about this, it genuinely just feels like wearing men’s cologne. All of that to say that I’d absolutely adore this scent on a man. This reminds me mildly of Bleu de Chanel, but with a larger focus on the leather rather than the vetiver which by comparison is very heavy in Bleu de Chanel. I’d describe it as incredibly sensual and sexy, but in a very masculine way. I really do like it though... hmm. Conflicted to say the least! Who would wear it?: Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil, Detective Loki in Prisoners (2013). This is a man’s scent in my mind but a woman who would pull this off is Sigourney Weaver. It could also work on a very feminine woman with a strong aura (maybe someone like Michelle Pfeiffer?) as a subversive kind of thing.

I don’t smell any specific notes, but the ones listed here are different to the website. The best way for me to describe it would be dark fruits. This is a fairly linear perfume, the fruits in the opening add sweetness to what seems like a leatheryish base. If you overspray the beginning has a slightly bitter smell as well, almost like a real leather jacket I have from Italy, and you can slightly smell creamy butteriness of the jasmine adding this effect. Although the boss website notes don’t list leather I definitely smell it. While the opening is fruity it is more flat and not a juicy or sparkling fruit, and the dry down is not very sweet but has more of an earthy scent. The longevity and sillage is fairly average. I think this is a nice perfume but nothing groundbreaking - despite the bad reviews I actually like it. This is not for someone who wants to smell ultra feminine, rather for someone who wants something a bit drier and deeper without being too heavy.

Recently I received a sample from Notino of this fragrance and I wore it yesterday to give it a try. To me, this smells like forest fruits when you first spray it, developing in a nice feminine fragrance, classy, yet powerful. When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of a perfume but couldn't put my finger on it so I tried my best to figure it out. Later in the day, the scent developed to smell reminiscent of Fantasy Intense by Britney Spears. Not that they are dupes, or whatever, but they do smell alike even though Fantasy Intense isn't named as one of the perfumes it reminds you of. It did get a little heady on me, as it is a smell that fills the room, at least to me anyway.

It's a very nice, fresh scent. Mostly unisex. I have two samples of it and I really like it. But probably I wouldn't spend the money for the full bottle. It's too expensive for what it is. It's just a generic soapy perfume.

Flowery sweet at the opening, it settles into a subtly sweet powder. I don't detect any sharp, standout notes. It's rather a light, mainstream composition with moderate sillage and a few hours of intimate longevity.

It is a pleasant, no way you can f*ck up with this - kind of perfume. Very boss babe at a department store vibes, cute and floral and unoriginal. I remember smelling this when I just got into perfumes and instantly bought it. Now looking back I feel kinda funny about it, it is too generic to ever be part of my collection again, I feel like there are other, more complex floral compositions out there. However, I think this is a good gift for someone that is not really into perfumes but likes to smell nice.

Nothing we haven't seen before. But I'm confused as to why this is labelled as a women's fragrance. Yes, when you first spray it there's a small feminine freshness and fruityness, but five minutes later this is a full blown men's cologne. This is definitely not something to use when trying to seduce your man - he'll think you forgot to shower after linking up with your 20-something-year-old secret lover. Not sexy.

Quite a flower bomb. I do enjoy the vetiver and leather base, which you can smell the right after spraying. Pity the main notes are so overly sweet, it gets too cloying quite fast. Especially as I'm generally not a fan of vanilla-florals. There definitely is a masculine note, as many have mentioned, but overall it's obviously feminine, just a bit boring.

It's not bad, just... Very generic perfume smelling perfume, not memorable at all. And there's something in it that keeps bothering me but I don't know what it is. It kinda doesn't settle down for me.

Apple and red berries, maybe some jammy jasmine in there. Good but not groundbreaking, would be a good gift for a girly girl.

to me this smells fruity. the leather in this is not as strong as i expected.

I actually really like jasmine in perfumes, but in this one it feels a little jarring. Maybe a bit too strong? When it settles and vetiver comes in, that's my favourite part, as the scent becomes really pleasant. The dry-down doesn't work well on me though. I don't know what it is about leather in perfumes that just doesn't mesh with me. I'd say this is an intense perfume with sillage that is on the stronger side and could work on some people, but it's not for me.

what the hell have they done to obtain this scritchy sour jasmine ? a very intense shampoo or cheap soap smell that have this particularity to motivate you to take a shower just after the spray. agressively vulgar

Tested today in Douglas I am sorry but I cant recall it as perfume I dont like that asphalt notes these days. Terrible scent of a fresh digged grave on cementary.

From reading the reviews I expected a mix between the EdP and the EdP Intense, but actually I’m getting a mix of all three previous Alive, including the EdT. It’s a fruity vanilla throughout, but in the beginning I’m getting a hint of mint/toothpaste in the fore, probably the mandarine-sage combo I also get from the EdT. The middle has the syrupy fruitiness of the Intense. I get zero leather, and not much jasmine or vetiver. I don’t get the pyramid, as I don’t smell anything aromatic, earthy or woody at all, but overall I find it denser than the other three. The dry down to me is a plum jam with vanilla. For reference: sweet notes are generally amplified a ton on my skin.

I had seen so many negative reviews about this fragrance that I was pretty predisposed to not like it and yet I quite liked it. For me Alive Parfum is a perfume that comes out citric and then goes on to smell of red fruits mixed with jasmine, with a leathery and woody background with vanilla. The mixture is very sweet, the red fruits are present rather in the form of a jam. At the end of its development, what remains is a woody vanilla. It has a notable projection for the first couple of hours and moderate afterwards, to be left close to the skin after the fourth or fifth hour. On my skin it lasts for about 7-8 hours. If I find it at a good price, maybe I'll get a 30 ml bottle, for me it's worth it. Smell 7.5/10 Duration 7.5/10 Sillage 7.5/10 Quality/price 7/10 Versatility 7/10 Packaging 6/10 Would I buy again? At first its a sweet floral, slightly reminiscent of flowerbomb (dont take it it literally) typical designer perfumey airport taxfree shop. Drydown has a slight biscuit scent. Its ok at best. Very unremarkable and forgettable. The notes listed are not at all what this fragrance smells like by the way!

The notes don't match with what I smell. I get a deep fruity vanilla fragrance that turns powdery in the drydown. There is some floral and woody tinges but they are secondary. I like it a lot! Just a simple & beautiful scent.

The fragrance has the DNA of the original. At first pungent, the scent gradually develops into a soft, slightly vanilla scent. It's not a gourmand scent, but a tangy vanilla scent. A classic fragrance, I like it!

Very generic feminine perfume, heavy on the jasmine. The notes, from what I understand, are incorrect here, because there is no leather to be detected. Nice longevity

I just got a sample of it and it’s surprisingly good omg?!!! it’s very vanill-ish imho but without being overtly sweet. 10/10 an absolute hidden gem
