Boss Bottled Intense

My signature winter scent. I love the original Boss Bottled #6 DNA though I find that to be a little light and not very long lasting. I was looking for a winter scent and I set my sights on the Boss Bottled line. Did a ton of research and tested almost every scent (that was presently available, not discontinued and that I could try in stores) but had minor nitpicks with each that I tried; Bottled Elixir I found a bit too strong though I did like it initially; Bottled EDP and Parfum smelled completely different from #6; Bottled Infinite smelled really good but wasn’t sure it would be best as a winter scent. The only one I didn’t try was Bottled Absolu. I also tried The Scent line but I found almost all the flankers to be a bit too sweet for my liking. I kept going back on Fragrantica to read about Bottled Intense and most reviewers mentioned how this was just a longer lasting, more “Intense” version of #6. That seemed perfect to me as I just love the OG, and if it’s a more “stronger” version of that, then it’d be perfect for me as a Winter fragrance and even if it doesn’t smell exactly the same as #6, I am ok with this. Of course, this fragrance had to be discontinued by Hugo Boss, but I didn’t lose hope as I browsed through forums and reddit and they mentioned how online retailers sometimes get a restock on Bottled Intense (and its EDP variant). I was ecstatic when I discovered it was available on Jomashop (as a gift set no less) and it was 65 USD! A steal IMO. I blind bought it and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. As other reviewers pointed out, it’s true to its namesake of Intense. Still retains the original Boss #6 DNA while being darker, longer lasting (8+ hours on my skin) and just all around pleasing scent. I’ve been using it as my daily winter fragrance, rotating with Spicebomb (another bomb of a scent). It’s just unfortunate that this specific flanker is discontinued (the listing has since disappeared on Jomashop). However, thankfully, there is a clone that is 95% similar: Nazih Silver. I bought that just to preserve my original bottled as long as possible. It’s crazy similar though it lasts a bit less than the original (about 6.5+ hours on my skin). Pinnace Noir is apparently another clone though I have yet to try it. A wonderful scent that I’d rate at least a 9/10.

Been wearing this for a few days received this as a gift from a friend but had previously tested it out in stores before. I think it is a very simple but pleasantly nice scent that gets the job done. I'm planning to test this out more over the coming days as I'm considering using it as my office/work scent in cooler months and have occasionally used it as a bedtime scent. But so far it has been pretty promising. The scent opens with some citrus and prominent tartyness from the apple making it pretty fresh initially for a the first 5-10 mins. The freshness fades with the apple note remaining as the spices of cinnamon most predominantly and cardamon become more noticeable. As this continues to settle on the skin this combination blends majestically to create an apple pie/apple crumble accord which lasts for majority of the fragrance. I get some woods coming in much later in the progression but it adds to the very cosy feel of this fragrance. The performance of this fragrance is pretty good so far lasting around 8 hours on my skin it projects strongly first two hours before slowly settling. It becomes a skin scent at around 5 hours. I will update this as soon as get more wears out of it but I am happy UPDATE; After more testing it is a very intoxicating scent I love it. The performance is amazing easily lasting around 10 hours. I've gotten a few compliments here and there but its pretty average for compliments compared to some others in my collection. Worth it ! I'm gonna get another bottle before these become hard to find Scent 9/10 Compliments 7/10 Projection 8/10 Longevity 9/10 Overall 8.8/10

Just a quick update to my previous review to comment on its performance. I sprayed this on my wrist this morning and one of its dupes, Nazih Silver which actually is a dupe of the EDP version of BBI, on my other wrist just to compare their scent and longevity. Over almost 9 hours later, I can still catch whiffs of Boss Bottled Intense and smell it on my wrist, whereas Nazih Silver pretty much disappeared after the 6 hour mark. In regards to the scent, upon first spray, I can immediately tell BBI has the higher quality and more refined scent with Nazih having the more synthetic smell. Nazih also seems to have a stronger clove note which isn't terrible, but I immediately preferred BBI. On the drydown, they both start to be quite similar but with BBI having the ever so slight edge and having the better scent. Boss Bottled has had many dupes including the Intense variants, yet Hugo Boss continues to impress not only in terms of scent profile and quality, but also performance! And this is the EDT of Intense too! Such a shame that this is discontinued. Hopefully, Hugo Boss will bring this back or have another flanker that resembles this scent profile in the future.

Fragrance -Boss Bottled Intense Hugo Boss Bottle from - 2015 Boss Bottled Intense is a nice,sweet,spicy,warm,woody and well-blended scent.This fragrance is very similar to the original Boss Bottled from 1998,and looks like a pretty nice upgrade for sure as far as performance go.It's a beautiful fragrance,there's no question about it. Longevity - 8/10(8+hours) Silage/projection -7/10(nice projection for the first 2-3 hours,silage also exist) Weather - best in spring,autumn,winter(Versatility-9/10) Age - 20+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 8/10 Main notes according to me - apple,vanilla,cinnamon,cedar,bergamot,sandalwood. The drydown is nice and i get some -woodiness,sweetness,vanilla,cedar and coumarin. Emotions -sexy,modern,seductive,romance,sweet. Occasion - casual activities,office,dates,college and night out. Reminds me a little bit of Ambré Baldessarini and 1 million.Could be a signature scent.You'll get compliments with this one.

This is like the new, modern Boss Bottled. As I‘ve stated in my Boss Bottled review, this stuff is quite amazing. Now, when it comes to the intense version, it gets even better! I got this right after it was released and used it up fairly quickly and I have to say, the performance is fantastic. It lasts an entire day without a problem. It‘s not really much stronger in it‘s smell itself, it just lasts longer - which is exactly what I‘m looking for in an intense version of a perfume. If you‘re considering Boss, consider the intense version! Unfortunately I haven‘t tried the edp‘s but generally speaking, a more intense version will be worth it!

Based on experience I got compliments on this when I am in an arms length of the person who gave me the compliment be it laying in bed with my wife, giving a hug to my grand mother or talking in close proximity with an office colleague. For me it works best after it sits down on my body or clothes after sometime so when it dries down that's when you might expect to be complimented. It never work through scent trail or the initial blast of projection. All in all I would say that for me this is the best all around fragrance, you can play with different moods when wearing this scent. Easily a contender for a good signature scent.

i got this juice 100ml around 2 weeks ago and im hooked on it. there is a yummy apple edible quality about this . smells kinda similar to chopard amber malaki not totally the same but almost . if you have Mancera Cedrat Boise then boss bottled intense compliment each other when layered, an amazing discovery i made yesterday they really boost and enhance eachother . boss bottled intense is the type of fragrance that makes me want to buy another 3 as backups , i really hope they dont reformulate this one. but hey they should make an EDP version of intense . longevity isnt that great but the fragrance is a 9/10

This fragrance is so addictive! Every time I wear this, I can't stop smelling myself. It's a bit sweeter than the original but otherwise extremely similar, except the longevity and sillage are better than the original, of course. I'm really looking forward to wear this in the upcoming fall as soon as it gets cold enough! Also a great scent for clubbing and garners some compliments, although it's not a compliment monster as a small percentage of girls doesn't seem to like it, but I honestly don't care that much with this one because it smells so fucking amazing TO ME. 10/10 would bathe in it.

I love the original Boss Bottled. This one? Pretty much...like it. It's basically more woody and spicy version of the original no. 6. Not as bright as the original, kinda warmer, more suited for winter. To me, this smells like end of mid notes/base notes of the original. If you like them, you'll like the Intense version. I only sampled it so I can't comment on the longevity or sillage but the smell it 8/10 for me. // update after testing this little more, I found out it has a lot of cinamon and bubble gum kind of feel. Don't really like it afterall. I'm sticking with original for now.

Ohhhh this is good. I always liked the original bottled scent, had a bottle of it years ago. This new 'intense' version steps it up a notch to a modern, next level. It's slightly sweeter, which is a really good thing, as it works well. It's not too sweet, but just enough to make it so much nicer. Slightly stronger than the original, and can also notice the occasional vanilla in there. The fragrance is unmistakeable. 75% of the original. Lasts for ages on my skin, several hours at least. I can't stop smelling myself. Sexy as hell I reckon (the fragrance, not me...)

212 VIP and one million? Really? Well... I have to disagree. I can't stand those 2 fragrances. But this one I love! It does remind me of others sweet/spicy fragrances like potion and spicebomb but definitely not those two. Boss Bottled intense is not cloying, sticky or overpowering! Boss bottled intense has a dominant vanilla accord with cinnamon and some apples. Wonderful gourmand perfume that smell like some kind of an apple pie. Was not a fan of any Hugo Boss perfumes until this one. It's a warm winter vanilla fragrance. Too bad summer is about to start!

Tried it at the shop the other day and I'll be buying it very soon. To me it smells like a warm apple pie; apple, vanilla and cinnamon are the major notes. But let's have a look at what you're getting for your money. 100ml of eau de parfum for 40 dollars, it lasts for ever, projects very well, smells sexy and is very versitile because you can use this fragrance in the fall, in the winter, in the office, for a date, going out or just casually walking around in the day or night. Rating: Projection 8/10 Longevity 9.5/10 Smell 8/10 Value for money 10/10

A perfect example of doing an intense of an original winner. I have always had boss bottled no. 6 in my line up but once this intense version came out, I stopped using the original and stuck to this. Its the original with a warm apple pie note instead of just apple and increased vanilla. I get great longevity. Up to 8-9 hours. Projection and sillage are great on my skin. Definitely safe for your clothes as well. Versatile for the warmer months as well just go easier on the trigger. I get noticed a lot with this. Women love it too.

Honestly the original boss bottled more pleasant compare with intense version. But sadly after reformulation the original boss bottled become very poor performance. For nowadays is worthy to buy the intense version than the original version, except you lucky can find the vintage version. However, the bottled Intense is still amazing fragrance, peoples pleasure, timeless scent, very versatile and perfect for any occasion. longevity: 6+ h sillage: moderate for a couple 2 hours score: 8/10

Interesting scent, warm and spicy. Shockingly very low performance and no sillage whatsoever ! it instantly fades into skin scent. Definately will never re-purchase once i'm done. Suitable for Fall and Winter mornings/nights. Edit on September,2019: Maybe I was little harsh on this. Scent is actually powerful and lasts for good long time. Projection is a beast, however I believe by now, it's much of a generic scent. Best for fall/winter days and nights.

My Brazilian Review The Boss. (Period) Scent: Classy. Warm. Cosy. Confortable. Cinamon. Less sweet (original). Uses: Fall and winter Work scent perfection. Cold weather. Fall wildcard, dumb reach. Casual and formal. Dates. Performance: solid. Hole work day (aprox. 8h). Moderate projection (personal bubble). IMHO: Amazing. Classic. Women love. Warning: Maybe it's in the girl's memory somehow (ex-BF, father, etc.). (Safe use: work). Rate: 9,5/10.

Classy and playful at the same time. From what I remember when owning this, it reminded me of 1 million, but fresher, lighter, it has a kind of brand new paper smell, with a bit of that bubble gum sweetness from 1 Million. The Only negative l have to say about this is, that it doesn't last very long. But if you get a little decant for it, no problem, because you will want to smell this on you all day!

To me, this is Fall in a bottle. I love the way it smells. Spicy, a little sweet and great for early fall or warmer fall days. The performance and longevity are lacking for sure. I really overspray this one and have no problem doing so. If you’re looking for an inexpensive designer fragrance for fall, give this one a shot, especially if you are just getting started collecting fragrances.

Favorite fragrance for some sentimental reasons but also because it just smells awesome! Definitely a cooler weather scent for me. The warm, slightly spicy apple on a bed of woodiness is just so satisfying. So sad it was discontinued but i was recently able to snag another 1.7oz for a "reasonable price" for what its going for nowadays

Stunning fragrance. I've tried the original and thought the longevity and projection was poor, this however does exactly what it says on the tin, great longevity and brilliant projection. It does have a slight hint of 1 million and the dry down is a bit sweet but it is a beautiful scent. Best purchase I have made in a while. 10/10

This is a great fragrance, was surprised just how good it is. Definitely tweaked from the original. It's warmer, spicier and has a fabulous woody cinnamon note, it lasts really well, for the few quid extra it's well worth it. I'm not a major fan of Boss Bottled, but the Intense is great.

what a stupendous power house,at last extreme means what it says. bottled boss and now the extreme is in my top 5 i wont go into what notes i can detect there's plenty of reviews that deal with that better than i ,all i want to say is i don't love this fragrance ....i absolutely adore it

I am not one to overly glaze colognes, but with this one I was left in awe when I first had a whiff of it. Absolutely beautiful scent, just simply a masterpiece of a fragrance and easily my top 5 fragrance of all time. Too bad it is now discontinued but what a lovely fragrance it is

This has a beautiful sillage that wafts up to you and smells amazing. This is like the OG formulation Boss Bottled but a little dryer and slightly smokey. One of those fragrances like YSL L'Homme and D&G The One that you can't go wrong with and would smell amazing on any man

@Juancho - Real Talk (what is fake talk? - robots?) I don't know anyone that says the EDT is stronger. The EDP is definitely the way to go. As to freshness - the original Boss Bottled is fresher but thats EDT as well. The intense and intense parfum are similar in freshness.

Best cologne in the world (in my personal opinion). Safe, inoffensive and absolutely gorgeous scent that works all year round for any occasion. You'll notice it's quite reminiscent of a delicious apple-pie. You can never go wrong with Bottled Intense

Really good. Dark, warm and spicy. Masculine. Cinnamon, vanilla, apple, and bubble gum. Longevity 5 hours. projection is acceptable. I only wish that the bubble gum scent was not that strong, if it was weaker this fragrance would be just perfect.

A nostalgic fragrance. Only now I realise the real value of this scent. For those looking for apple notes and a fragrance not Layton, this is your alternative. Snapped up a 50ml bottle for a reasonable price, given it was discontinued years ago.

If you like the original Boss Bottled you will love this! I do, Takes me back 15 years. Definitely has a more intense hit to it. Yeah it does have sweet notes in it. And??? Easily beats all the other Boss Bottled flankers hands down! 9/10

I love this fragrance. It has lovely sweet opening of apple, orange blossom, and bergamot. With a wonderful masculine edge of cinnamon, vanilla, and Woody notes in the dry down. Scent 9/10 Longevity 7/10 Sillage 7/10 Overall Score 8/10

Agree with nightcutter, great flanker whereas the sport version is an absolute stinker. Just a great fragrance, tons of compliments in two days I've had it and really don't understand the grief it's getting from some people here.

This smells almost identical to the original version. The intense one smells good but I wanted it to be stronger, they need to release an EDP version which smells like the original but stronger. It's a magnificent scent!

Great Fall Scent !! Soft not Loud !! I got several compliments from the Ladies, they Loved It !! It is a little weak in the performance. I went with 4 sprays on skin 2 on clothes, got about 5 to 6 hours.

Yummy fragrance :) An apple pie with a sexy touch into it. When i wear this, my gf wants to cuddle, very comforting and pleasant scent. I love to wear this in fall and winter with a good coat !

Warm and fruity yet distinctively woody and masculine. Sophisticated and layered. Perfect for business meetings and dinner parties, and all those occasions when discreet elegance is a must.

This smells like it did when it first came out! Real powerful! And the original one smells like a watered down 30% less potent one! Smell 8/10...

I have never worn the original boss bottled, so this is a pure and unaltered review of boss bottled intense (no comparisons between the two). In my opinion, this is an amazing fragrance. It starts off quite fresh and light, but with the woods and spices lingering in the background. As time goes by, the roles become switched. It becomes woodsy and spicy, with the freshness lingering in the background. Bubblegum? Nope. I don't get that on my skin. It's more of a herbal fresh kind of smell to me. On my skin, this performs really well. It easily lasts 8hrs+, projects at arms length (at least) and leaves a wonderful scent trail. It is extremely versatile and signature scent worthy, particularly for those of us living within the tropics. I just wear this whenever really, and it always suits whatever occasion I'm in. I give this fragrance a solid 9/10. EDIT: After more wear, there is this somewhat synthetic feel to this fragrance that I just can't get over. I change my rating to a 6/10.

I heard time and time again how amazing this fragrance is from a multitude of different reviewers on YouTube and as soon as word got out of it being discontinued, I jumped the gun and bought it. My first impression was... "This is it? This is what all the hype's about?" Personally, it let me down at first because I expected some out-of-this-world scent and it ended up being just okay for me. After a few times wearing it, my opinion changed a little bit and I finally understood what everyone meant. Boss Bottled Intense EDP is literally as everyone says, an apple pie with cream. It's a very delectable scent and it sticks really close to the skin just after a few hours. Personally, it lasts a little over 6 hours and I've received lots of compliments while wearing this fragrance. Overall, anyone can pull this off. It's more fitting in the winter/autumn time and especially at night. I give it a solid 7.5/10.

After testing the edp version a few times and loving it, I bought this on special thinking it would be the same, if not better than the edp version. Many people said that this is the same or that the edt would actually out-last the edp for some reason. No. Wrong. This projects for a meagre 20 minutes on me and then fades to a skin scent which fizzles out to a barely detectable vanilla within another hour or two. That just isn't good enough for what I paid. Now I could have a bad bottle but I doubt it. It was manufactured inside the last 24 months and I bought it from a reputable seller. This is a lovely fragrance but marketing it as "intense" is very misleading in my experience and I feel like I've been duped. Other people may get different performance from this juice, but please try it out first before shelling out hard earned money for an unsatisfactory product like I did.

I like Boss Bottled Intense, but it is a little less well blended than the original Boss Bottled. It also comes across as a hair more synthetic due to whatever aromachemical they used for the clove note. The clove note combines with the rest of the notes to push forward a "juicy fruit gum" smell as many here describe it, but thankfully that combination doesn't smell like strong cloves. That juicy fruit smell then mixes with the original Boss Bottled scent. It does not smell at all like 1 Million to me. It is still easily identifiable as Boss Bottled. Whereas the original is perhaps a 9.5/10 in smell, this is perhaps a 8.75 out of 10. It projects and lasts way better than the original in current formulation, so that makes up for the smell of Intense not being quite as nice. Overall, 9 out of 10.

This one is great for casual wear - it is balanced on the head of a pin honestly with so many things going on but balanced; a fragrance that's in a state of unstable equilibrium - a little more or a little less of anything and things would've gone downhill real fast. You smell the potpourri of smells here - as you read the notes, you pick each one up - the sweetness of the apple and cinnamon, the warmth from the vanilla, fresh florals of lavender, the sharpness of the orange blossom and bergamot. There's a lot going on but in a really nice way. Better for the day in cool weather in my opinion - it's GOOD at night but doesn't have the depth and warmth that a GREAT warm weather fragrance would need I think.

A worthy update of a timeless classic. With it's BOSS Bottled DNA nearly 20years old it most certainly still packs a punch. Be warned though, these days it lacks in it's versatility. The cinemon and vanilla restricts it to the cooler months and when worn casually it'll come off a little dated. Having said that, this fragrance should be given the credit it deserves - wear it with a suit in the appropriate cooler months and it will not let you down. This and Hugo are the only two BOSS fragrances worth investing in.
