Boss Bottled Striking Lavender

Finally. A men's fragrance. For men. Masculine and manly. @snowatom put it as clearly and concisely as could be. This is exactly the kind of fragrance I think of when I hear the words 'cologne for men'. And it is absolutely, positively, fan-fucking-tastic. Soapy, after-shave, shampoo, shower gel, all rolled up into one big bottle of awesomeness. Initially I was hoping for something lavender-y like the Caron line, but they've been doing lavender for almost 100 years in men's fragrance so maybe that is too lofty a bar for Boss to reach. This fragrance, however, is exactly what fragranceland has needed and been missing in mainstream men's perfumery. Makes me think of Boss Bottled Infinite, but done better. Like an Infinite intense or something. Performance is average. I'll buy 5 bottles. And spray more. Stop with the apple pie. The vanilla frosting. The syrup and pancakes. Give me this all day, every day. Concerned about the price? Just wait a few weeks, this will be cheap as chips on discounters. Thank you, Hugo Boss.

Just sampled at Sephora. This was clearly different from all the other men's fragrances in the store. The lavender is so sharp, tweaked to extreme. I was intrigued but worried it may be cloying to wear. As it dries down a masculine scent appears but the lavender is present and still extremely sharp. I want to give it a wear before anything else but I couldn't resist sharing my experience. Edit: This is nice. An easy to wear fragrance that does the job well. It's handsome and comforting. There goes my money. Edit: I've never bothered deciphering a fragrance ingredients list but there's much more going on than what's listed for the fragrance notes like, bergamot, lemon peel, rose, cinnamon. It's fancier than it appears. I guess the citrus is what makes it so sharp.

Very nice. As a fan of lavender, I got what I wanted, for sure. This to me a bit of a compromise between Percival, Lavande 31 and Solar Lavender. It's got that bright lavender opening from Solar Lavender (which I love) but also has the musky punch of Lavande 31 and the metallic/mineral tinge of Percival. So, an evolution/refinement of the Fierce DNA. Longevity is surprisingly decent, at least as long lasting as Percival on my skin and projects decently for the first hour or two. The Bottled line is probably my favorite designer line and this is another good addition to it. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does what it does well and delivers on the "striking lavender" promise. A great summer banger and easy office wear.

Exactly as advertised - I sprayed this on today and it is potent lavender. Both my wife & son liked it and said it smelled like my longtime signature lavender scent L'Occitan. I prefer a more cedar base over this moss base but that's my only criticism. It absolutely lasted all day but the sillage became intimate after a couple of hours. Definitely doesn't deserve all the hate - this is a safe buy if you enjoy masculine lavender. If someone doesn't like lavender why would you wear this? I don't like coconut scents but I don't post reviews saying they're terrible because I know I don't like them. And it has zero resemblance to Boss Bottled Beyond (review below) which is ginger and leather 🤔

Finally, a fragrance without tonka, vanilla, tobacco, or leather. A genuinely fresh direction – and honestly, how a men’s fragrance should smell. No sugar overload, no dessert vibes... just a great scent that actually smells like a perfume, not a pastry. Maybe this is the beginning of the end for the endless wave of overly sweet vanilla fragrances marketed to men. One can hope. I truly hope this one gets the recognition it deserves and becomes a permanent part of the collection – not just another limited edition that disappears too soon. I received a test sample, and after wearing it for two days, I simply couldn’t go another day without owning it. It’s just awesome.
