OLD FAITHFUL VERSATILE SCENT PARTNER This is a truly reliable fragrance. Its versatility makes it a must for any perfume user. At least it's a must for those who value versatility or like to travel light. I loved Boss Bottled the first time I tried it, it's a classic, pleasant and masculine scent that I think deserves to be as successful as it is. The apple, plum, cinnamon, vanilla and sandalwood combine to create something truly amazing. Just don't count on expressive longevity or sillage, because you just won't get it. Its fresh opening (citrus and apple) blends well with a dominating cinnamon in the heart and vanilla in the base. A bit gourmand, but masculine, as the sweet notes I mentioned are always accompanied by very nice, high-quality woody notes - mainly mahogany, sandalwood and cedar. It doesn't smell cheap, it's not cloying, you can use it in the gym, and it's even good on a date if you (or your date) are a conservative person. This trusty buddy will never let you down in any situation. It will not attract other people's attention, but probably with a versatile king you just want to smell clean and fresh in many situations like the office, on a plane, in a theatre, watching a football match, entertaining your mother-in-law and so on. You can use it in any weather, although it's not a shining star in terms of performance. Boss Bottled will never let you down. Well, as they say, if you are good at everything, you cannot be the best at anything. Boss Bottled is a king of versatility and a mere prince in everything else. In terms of performance, he's just a commoner. I like it, although it's not in the front row of my cupboard. In my opinion, and within the Boss range, it's only second to Boss Number One (a real number one for more than 30 years) and its flankers Boss Bottled Oud and Boss Bottled Intense. The Intense flanker and the recently released Eau de Parfum are better buys. My ratings for Boss Bottled EDT: --- --- --- --- - Scent (opening): 7.0 (fairly common) - Scent (dry down): 8.0 (more pleasant than opening) - Longevity: 7.0 (average) - Sillage: 6.0 (average sillage - one arm's length - and poor projection at peak sillage - one hour) - Uniqueness: 7.0 (there are similar and cheaper fragrances on the market like Scuderia Ferrari - Black) - Wearability: 10.0 (any season, any age, day or night) - Versatility: 10.0 (perfect for the office, but very good anywhere) - Quality: 8.0 (Hugo Boss knows how to create fragrances with better performance and more appealing combinations of notes (but probably with less sales due to less versatility). The only Boss Bottle flankers that have moved in a more promising direction are B.B.Oud and B.B.Unlimited. B.B. Intense is just .... more intense and a bit more expensive. Of course, Boss has recently launched 'Parfum', 'Elixir' and 'Absolu'. All three are fantastic. Elixir is no longer a flanker and seems to be a completely new creation). - Compliments: 7.0 (A clean, fresh and pleasant aroma, but not enough to make people follow you with their eyes or greet you. You will not disturb anyone). - Presentation: 8.0 (Simple bottle, but very elegant and effective. Good spray!) - Price: 7.0 (You can buy similar fragrances from famous designers at a lower price. I paid 45 euros + tax for my 200ml sample and it'll take me a century to use it up. I should have bought a 100 ml sample of Intense EDP 🙂 ). --- --- --- --- Overall rating: 7.73/10.0 between 7 and 8 => above average;> between 8 and 9 => recommended; equal or bigger than 9 => don't miss it; My thoughts on Boss Bottled EDT: If sillage and projection were good, this fragrance would be a smash hit. That's probably why Hugo Boss released an Intense EDT and an EDP version. Still, it gets confusing for shoppers as the three bottles are identical and all the juices are almost the same colour. Worth a blind buy? Yes, if the price is right and you just want versatility from the fragrance. If you're sure it's Boss Bottled that you like, and you might use it on a date or to attract people's attention, you're better off getting the Intense EDP version. A lot of people say this has an "apple pie" type of smell. I really don't agree with that. I definitely get the plum out of this. At first it's on the fresh side. You get fresh plum a touch of apple and a fresh type of cinnamon. As it settles soft woods and cinnamon are more forward. The plum mellows while the apple comes up. When it's totally settled on the skin you get fresh cinnamon with woods and the apple and plum fruitiness. But at no point is it spiced enough and the apple is strong to where I would say it's apple pie. It's very likeable and has this cinnamon wood freshness that is very nice . At times especially when applied light it has a slight soapy smell to it. Clean. As far as it being an older fragrance. This stuff has aged very gracefully. Someone in their early and mid 20s may not like this but this is still a solid fragrance in the collection for everyone else. Performance is not the greatest. When applied heavily you're projecting for about an hour. It's noticeable on the skin for about 3. 5 hours out of this would be really pushing it. That is with 9 sprays . 5 sprays it's a super close scent at like 3 hours . Even on clothes at like 2 hours it's not strong. What I do like is that you can apply heavily and while it may not be filling a room you'll have a little scent bubble for a few hours so it's not offensive at all. Great everyday and office scent. I really do wish the intense version was never discontinued. I do believe a new one will release. But the intense version didn't have plum and that's something I really like about this. I'm giving this a 7/10 . I don't mind showering in this stuff and the price isn't bad

Its really hard for me to get to actually test fragrances, so my entire collection of about 20 bottles have ALL been blind buys. Surprisingly, with the exception of one, they have all turned out fantastic. I would not say Im lucky or easy to please. I just tend to really do a lot of homework upfront to avoid disaster. Some have turned out better than others, but so far, no dislikes. So, based on Boss Bottled featuring in so many YouTube top ten lists, I thought Id blind buy this one as well. and my, oh my... this is THE BOSS of blind buys so far. It is exceptional. It oozes beauty, elegance, refinement and class, without even trying, whilst maintaining a presence that is definitive and distinct. Its masculine, but not macho. Its confident but not pushy. Complex without being complicated. Uplifting but not giddy. Its playful but also does not allow to be messed with. Its attractive and appealing, almost verging on seduction, but not quite, which makes it wildly sexy in the most subtle, innocuous way - like the innocent seduction of ones first love. This is a gem that comes very close to perfection in what I look for in a fragrance. Its a timeless classic that has been around for many years, and will be around for many to come. You will totally understand once you have put your nose to the gorgeous opening and superb dry-down. If I had to start my collection all over again - THIS would be my very first buy.

This is one of those fragrances that almost feels pointless to review because it’s been around for so long. Everyone knows it, everyone’s worn it, but for me, it’s my signature scent. I always repurchase it when I run out. It’s safe for any occasion, a date, the office, visiting your girlfriend’s or boyfriend's house, you name it. It’s sweet, masculine, approachable, and just incredibly versatile. I’ve worn it to festivals, to work, and everywhere in between. I’ve received compliments from both younger and older people. It’s the fragrance I’ve been wearing consistently for 4 years, my go to when I just need something easy to throw on. The downside is its longevity and projection. If this had the sillage of something like Club de Nuit or Montale, I’d stock up like crazy. I don’t want it to be overpowering, but I do wish it lasted longer. Right now, you spray it on, leave the house, and within about 3 to 4 hours, people around you likely won’t smell it anymore, even if you can still pick it up faintly on yourself. Despite that, I love it. It’s a great all rounder and a very safe blind buy. I’m 25, and while some people say it leans toward a younger, sophisticated vibe, I honestly think anyone can wear it. It doesn’t feel tied to a specific age group, though I can see why some might associate it more with younger men.

I'm a woman and I LOVE this. Hands down my favorite masculine fragrance. It is soft, clean and cuddly. It automatically makes any man who wears it seem boyfriend or marriage material: it reminds me of the study in which female respondents found hard, craggy male faces to be sexually exciting but only worth a hot fling, and soft, rounded, "feminine" male faces more reliable, more trustworthy, and really nice to have babies with. Boss Bottled is the latter, in contrast to uber-manly stuff like Antaeus or Drakkar Noir. It's a really soft, slightly musky, spicy but mainly vanilla fragrance that retains a bit of the rather jarring green apple opening throughout its development. It's very popular, but it's not ordinary (and commuter flights within, say, Scandinavia and Germany, simply reek of the stuff). So, guys, if you want to project a nice sexy corporate-man "I'm ready to commit" (or "I'm already committed") sort of vibe, wear Boss Bottled, lean back and survey the effect. DOn't forget to share with the womenfolk from time to time.

"Sophisticated" is the word that always comes to mind with this one. It's got that green apple tone, yet it's not a 'fresh' scent to me because of the woody and cinnamon undertones. They strike a perfect balance in my opinion. A completely original, one-of-a-kind smell. I always immediately recognize it when someone is wearing it. I saw someone calling this 'bland' which made me chuckle. It's been around for almost 2,5 decades, so perhaps other brands tried to copy it (haven't come across anything smelling like the original though) but no.. it's one of the original greats, ánd it stood the test of time. I also had Boss Number One for example. Which was very popular in the 80s I read. And I can understand that. I bet Gordon Gecko wore it. But that one is way too old fashioned and musky to me now. Boss Bottled on the other hand is just timeless. Is it 100% perfect? No. The downside is it doesn't really last very long. Still, the scent itself is so appealing I'll probably always have one in my collection.

Apple and plum comes with cinnamon in the beginning but not too sweet to disturb your nose, the first 10 seconds feel a bit harsh but tolerable, this is not much of a in your nose fragrance, it literally catches the tip nose a bit and then disappears to get you for a second time later on. The middle and base notes can be experienced right after the initial strong smell. Nothing is special with the fragrance, but the smell is timeless and recognizable by everyone that has experienced the fragrance years ago, I have not experienced it when it first came out but it gives me chills when i smell it. This fragrance has a calm, pleasant and soft sweet smell on my nose. Although everyone says it is a very weak one, it is not weak on my skin like most of my perfumes and stays relatively long on my clothes. There is also no nuclear silage but definitely a great cheapie if you are looking for something to spray occasionally and smell good.

I was recommend this fragrance after asking my Gemini AI what scents I should check out if I like the old Lacoste Pour Homme, and this is the closest I've smelled to that DNA. It also smells a lot like Jeff's Barbershop hair texture spray (sandalwood). It's like a fresh spicy crisp apple pie with the plum and sandalwood smoothing out the middle notes giving it a bit more character. An all day any occasion scent, but not super mature or innovative. That being said I think the scent itself would be hard to dislike. The issue here is its performance is the worst of all my 50 fragrances. I believe a nice sweet musk would absolutely give this the final piece it's missing. I'm about to grab samples of some of the flankers including some discontinued ones and I hope they perform better. If anyone has a recommendation that's similar to this and Lacoste Pour Homme please let me know. Scent: 9/10 Score factoring in the performance: 5/10

This is one of Hugo Boss' finest creations yet. The EDT is a perfect description of an "apple pie". Opening up with strong bright bergamot, apple and plum, it catches the wearer and others very nicely. After this, a smooth transition to the heart and base which primarily is a nice sweet but subtle "pie-like" sweetness of vanilla and apple, with a mature and masculine foundation of cedar, sandalwood, and other woodsy notes. Not only is the EDT a great daily driver, but a unique and not too boring one. If you want a break from the fresh and blue daily drivers, go for the Boss. It still offers light weight and fresh standards, with that apple pie likeness. -Given an EDT, performance varies per person and will not fill a room once past the initial spray -More intimate fragrance for close scents -Time-less and an easy pick for many scenarios -Combination of fresh and mass-appealing vanilla/sweet notes

Good fragrance with enough spice to be upfront but not too much to overpower. It's manly and easy to wear. Has hints of freshness . Has just enough sweetness that it adds to the fragrance but doesn't overpower anything. This is not a sweet fragrance at all . A ton of reviews say this gives apple pie vibes which is why I was always curious. This does not give apple pie vibes. Unless someone made an incredibly over spiced apple pie. Unless someone told you it smelled like apple pie and you concentrated you would get light hints of it. But don't buy this expecting that . The apple isn't intense enough and the spice isn't close to the type of spice you would expect for that. Overall it is a good fragrance. You wouldn't know it was a fragrance from the 90s. I think this is blind buy safe . I give this a 6/10

This was my signature scent/ the only fragrance I used for about a decade. I just once blindbought it, liked it and just kept repurchasing. I probably went through 15-20 large bottles. Having lots of fragrances now I see that it ́s completely synthetic, I couldnt even smell the synthetic apple before, it just smelled nice to me and that was it. It ́s incredibly linear, it doesnt change at all, it smells totally the same freshly sprayed and in the drydown. I still think it ́s very good, longevity is beastly on clothes, it stays there till you wash it. The price is great, it projects decently for edt, very mass appealing there is huge nostalgia factor so I have to give it 10/10, objectively probably like 7/10, but it slaps. I will still wear it once or twice in the autumn.

Recently dive into this Boss Bottled, been ignoring this gem everytime when i look at the shelve on my local Sephora. Finally tried it on my skin and immediately fall in love with it. To be honest this juice easier get me nose blind to it as i thought the performance was below average once i couldn’t detect the smell after 1 hour. But i did ask few person that i know wether they smell me when i walk near them , they reply yes i can smell your perfume(solid 6 spray). For my experiment experience, we shouldn’t ask someone that already spent more than 15 minutes with you wether they can smell you or not , instead walk towards them and immediately ask do they smell u . As they might get noseblind too if they spent some time with you .

Very pleasant scent for any occasion and any men. The interesting detail is the scent actually tiled in two profiles: the very first thing one can feel is sweety apple-plum mix, and the second profile is something similar to deodorants (but not really it) or old style fragrances. The second profile is actually really evolved to the first place in some flankers of Boss Bottled (mostly in both Absolute and EDP versions) I could recommend this one to everyone as a full day fragrance and blindbuy. Despite I've heard that this is quite outdated, I still consider this as one of the greatest fragrances nowadays. The only and a huge con is weak versatility and duration.

I am here to complain. Let me start off by saying this is one of the nicest smelling perfumes I have tried, when it comes to smell alone, I love it. However, the performance, longevity, silage of this perfume is ABYSMAL. An hour after I spray it and it's a skin scent. Isnt a perfumes supposed to make you smell good? if it disappears soon after you spray like 20 sprays on then whats the point? I understand that some perfumes were made for artistries sake, they arent meant to project, they are made to capture a scent and evoke an emotion. But let's be honest, this isnt the purpose of this perfume. I wish they would make a version of this that would last.

Iconic and timeless Apple + cinnamon + woods scent. The plum also adds some nice juiciness to the fruitier aspects of the fragrance but the main note is definitely Apple. Has a really nice warm spiciness to it that makes it a great “day” / spring counterpart to scents such as La Nuit de L’Homme or CK Obsession. Great for any season any place. Longevity is average , even in modern Coty 2025 batches. The reformulations were not destructive to the fragrance even if older versions are possibly stronger. Highly recommend especially since it’s like 30/35€ in discounters. This is also one you can apply more heavily without becoming cloying.

I fell in love with this fragrance upon smelling it for the first time and has been my signature fragrance since. I just love how sweet and comfortable it is, everyone likes it, and given how pleasant Boss Bottled EdT is i can safely recommend it for any ocassion: it works well at the gym, at the office, in a date, you name it. The only thing i don’t like of this fragrance is its performance, expect this to become a skin scent after 2 hours or so, you can comfortably reapply though, since it’s not an overwhelming smell. But that’s just a little con for a magnificent fragrance that excels in every other aspect.

I really don’t understand the hate for this one. This is an extremely well balanced easy wear. It’s got just enough everything and not too much of anything. It’s warm and cozy making it perfect for Fall and winter and fresh enough for spring and early summer. The performance isn’t great, but by no means terrible. A couple few extra sprays and it should get you through most of a work day. Maybe I’m just easy to please, or maybe I got a good batch, but I’d take this over any faceless bubblegum, blue, musty middle eastern oud enveloped dupe or up its own backside niche any day of the week, and twice in Sunday.

This is Still one of the all Time Great fragrances there is for Men. I've had this frag for about 15+ yrs And I'm coming back to do my second review since my first in Jan 2012 At first spray - A fresh Sweet Apple Vanilla with the Lemon and Cinnamon expanding in the drydown. Sweet, but not too Sickly and Cloying, Can be worn all year round, preferably during the Day. Good (enough) Longevity but Weak Projection, though compliments were noticeable! The Perfect casual frag, great for everyday use: Work, Office, Shopping, Small Scale Events. Affordable - This (and Intense) - 10/10

this is a scent memory i can't escape. it's cruising in the warm summer breeze, in an outdated car with your first love. it's a blocparty/gorillaz/mf doom mix cd. there's a confidence about it, there's a comfort in it. it's a scent that will stick to you all day, that will change over time. kinda like a first love - it will stick to you always, but change over time. i find myself wearing this to job interviews and first dates when i want something a little more masculine, but understated. apple/geranium > cinnamon > vanilla+olive wood is a really beautiful journey.
