It doesn't arrive. It occupies. There's no bright citrus handshake, no designer pleasantry. On skin, it doesn't explode — it settles. Rich, controlled, deliberate. The spice hits first, and it's not the usual polished kind. This is sharper. Red-hot pimento with something almost tactile about it — a flicker of heat that feels less like a fragrance and more like a decision someone made before they even walked through the door. The base of Boss Bottled is very different from that of Boss The Scent. They are two brothers, each with their own personality, and each with their own flankers for different occasions. I'm a huge fan of Boss The Scent For Him, the entire line, all the flankers, nine of them now. I wouldn't want to miss any of them. Unique in the sense that you have to be here for the Maninka note. And nothing smells like this. Bruno Jovanovic, Pascal Gaurin, Jacques Huclier, Nelly Hachem-Ruiz, Delphine Lebeau, fantastic, highly original, and incredibly delicious. My thanks. And if you don't care for that note, then this is a passé. I only have one complaint, and that's the new refillable bottle! Whoever came up with this, the big mess could start, and future generations will never be able to determine with certainty that the fragrance is original. I love this fragrance. The more I wore it the more I appreciated it. It's warm spicy fruity and the perfect amount of woody . It's smooth and velvety. At first you get a red pepper , fruity sweet scent . As the lavender comes on it does start getting a little powdery. I get ground cinnamon tossed in powder out of it with some slight sweetness. Once it has totally dried and settles on to the skin the sandalwood comes in so smooth and almost creamy . Once you get to that stage you get the red pepper back . You get light freshly chopped red pepper with a mellow lavender all riding the very smooth sandalwood with a warm sweetness all around . It almost smells like the sweetness is coming out of the sandalwood. I like how this fragrance slowly matures . Most fragrances in like 20 minutes you smell every layer. This one is going to give you about 4 layers in like an hour. It might be a little linear but it sooo works for this. This stuff is strong ! 3 sprays is enough with this. With 3 sprays all on my skin I was able to catch whiffs of this easily 4 hours later . At about 6 hours could still smell that it's there. It doesn't turn into something you need to smash your nose into until about 9 hours later . Good sillage , a good 5 or 6 feet. It will project strong for the first 2 hours . It is a very versatile evening fragrance as far as occasion. Season, I just wouldn't wear it on a hot night . But it works for just about any season but summer. It would also work on a cold winter day . Just be careful with how much you apply. The bottle is heavy and feels very well made , the atomizer is solid as well. This is my third in the scent line. The original EDT is one of my favourite evening scents and seems to really fly under the radar because there's not much hype train about it, but trust me, it's such a great warm cosy option. It's also exceptional value for what you get. Because it's sweet side, it won't be for everyone. I got the EDP and hated it, a note in it reacted badly and had to scrub it off! This one I had as a sample and it's much closer to the original than the parfum version, in that I don't get that unpleasant note. This one is just like the original, but heavier and more spicy, which I guess is understandable for the elixir. If you wanted a bad comparison it's like PDM Layton and Altaire - both have lots of similarities but Althair is more on the spicy aromatic side. This is sort of like that, obviously smells nothing like PDM though. Here's a neat trick I discovered. If you layer this with the OG, it really works great. You get the baked cookies sweetness and lightness of the OG, which is missing from the Elixir combined with the darker heavier spicy note when you apply the elixir on the base and layer the OG over it, especially if you let the elixir dry down a bit. This is now my favourite way of wearing "the scent" - elixir first, then a couple of hours later spritz the OG. Two 50 ml bottles of each will still be less than many house names 100ml bottles. If you've already got one, get a sample decant of the other and try it!

This is, in my opinion, what the spicebomb infrared lineup WISHES it was. This is great stuff! Potent, long lasting and it smells fantastic. It is unmistakably a 'Boss The Scent' flanker, and I could swear there is maninka in this despite the note breakdown not listing it. Either way, it does bear a similarity to Magnetic, but I also find it reminiscent to 1M Royal. I'm wearing it on a warm, humid day, transitioning from the A/C to outside and back. It is not cloying at all. I do think this shines more in cooler weather, but it works well in moderate heat and humidity if you don't overspray. It is peppery, lavender-y, and the sandalwood gives it this smooth, dusty, almost powdery drydown that is absolutely fantastic. That's the most important part, IMHO, since that's what you smell the most anyway. Come for the opening, enjoy the mid, and stay for the (long lasting) drydown. This stuff rocks. Edit: Wearing this today, two sprays. Insane performance. This is one truly great all-around performer. And it just smells freakin' awesome. There's a tart 'fruitiness' to the spice in the mid that is just awesome. But this and other Hugo Boss offerings will never top anyone's youtube lists because they aren't 'hyped'. They'd rather complain about the poor performance of their chanels or versaces. lol. I love this stuff. TRUE beastmode, this one.

1st this does not smell like Eros Flame 2nd this does not smell like any of the Spicebombs 3rd this definitely does not smell like Invictus Victory 4th most of all this does not smell like any of the Stronger with You Line. To me this is in a league of its own I can not compare it to any perfume I own or here on the remind me ofs on Fragrantica. To me this smells sweet hot peppery with little lavender and nice sandalwood that stays throughout to the excellent end. Boss Bottled Elixir was a 10/10 for me and this one Boss The Scent Elixir 🙌 is also a 10/10 for me in my humble opinion. I paid $119 for this and very well worth it. It smells like nothing eles I have in my collection. This hot sweet spicy smokey resinous Elixir is a sweet addition to my collection 😍. For those hesitant to buy this and say it's mainstream and smells like all the other spicy mens perfumes out there do not know what they are missing you need to get a tester or blind buy it and take a chance or wait for it to hit discounters someday.........later next year if you are lucky. Let's just say I have this Boss Bottled Elixir and The Scent Elixir and I'm glad I snagged them both and they are back up bottle worthy the both of them. Hope this helps but you need to buy let's be honest lol ttfn.

What an interesting and wonderful scent! The evolution as you wear it is fascinating. It opens very sweet and fresh, with the pepper giving it a bit of lively almost black pepper spice on top of the prominent lavender. After an hour or so the pepper goes from smelling lightly spicy to extremely vegetal - very much like a fresh bell pepper which is pungent but not spicy. If you'd have told me I'd enjoy a bell pepper note I might have doubted you, but it somehow works with the sweet lavender. That middle stage could definitely be polarizing, but I love it. That strong vegetal scent doesn't last too long before the sandalwood slowly emerges and the eventual dry down is a gentle warm and sweet woody accord with a hint of the now less vegetal pepper. I get excellent longevity and performance from this scent and would consider it best suited to cool weather or date nights where the heavier sweetness might shine. Overall a wonderfully unique scent that develops richly and performs really well.

the only negative side to this fragrance is me not getting it sooner. this an attractive scent. wouldn't waste it on a regular day. manly, rounded, sexy and performance-wise the best boss creation ever. dances on the borders of beast mode but not exactly. still, a room filler. three note breakdown is a kind of joke where no one gets it except the joker. can say i smell fruit, kind of banana-ish, kind of kiwi-ish, stands out as a natural smelling accord. can smell tobacco but it's like a cherry flavored pipe tobacco, to give the tobacco a soft and delicate zing. lots of lavender and vanilla in the drydown. was protesting boss since they discontinued bottled intense, so I don't go for boss or scents in this scent profile in general. yet this one made me fall in love. kept on sampling this for a long time but never pulled the trigger. i think "rotten rebel" gives the most honest opinion and the most accurate description. if you are looking to blind buy, check his YT channel.

This is nuclear and seems pretty versatile. Maybe not in extreme heat. Not super unique, but have received compliments the two times I have worn it, and its growing on me each time. May be a love eventually. Awfully pricey, but it feels so right as a signature scent. Maninka fades off the top pretty quickly, but still at a background hum through the 6 hours mark. I don't pick up the heat others get, but I notice something peppery. Very smooth in my humble opinion and if you don't have Eros Flame and can afford it, I recommend. I've only done 1-2 sprays each wearing and never failed to pick it up in the air all day and evening. The lavender really pops throughout for me, I feel like the peppery element really shines in bringing out the lavender. It's soothing AND sexy. My 50ml bottle didn't have a magnetic cap which I'm slightly bummed about considering the asking price. BOSS having a decent 2024. Bottled Elixir was a banger as well. 09/10

Just sprayed it and... damn, I smell magnetic, man! Ready to go hunt ghosts—or something. Woooooo! Oh wait... married life. Reality check 🤮. Work calls, and I’m old. That opening? Fruity pepper straight up. Invictus Elixir vibes at first—vanilla? Amber? Something glowing behind the chaos. Pepper hits like red chili, not your everyday spice—it’s fruity, bold, alive. Magnetic. Obnoxious in the best way. One spray and bam! Trail blazing everywhere. Victory-elixir vanilla note sneaks in, makes it sexy, niche-like, all-year-round potential... but tonight? Nightlife banger. Female co-worker gives it a pass—safer than Boss Bottled Elixir, but still potent enough to leave a trail. Respect the cologne Nazis or... well, laugh and move on. Compliments? None officially... except the “you smell good though!” moment. That’s a crime in some offices. Main thing? I know I smell good. Red hot. Pure fire. 🔥

Boss The Scent Elixir (2024 version) — This perfume is ABSURD! It’s strong but super well balanced, zero cloying. And the way it changes on the skin is crazy: you smell it shifting like 3–4 times, and at one point I literally smelled it and I screamed: ARTSY! It starts fruity, then a few minutes later the pimento hits really intense. After that it goes into this sparkly pepper vibe, and then a creamy sandalwood base that still gives me a little “dark vanilla” feeling, kind of like The Scent Magnetic but smoother. The Maninka DNA is there too, but like 10%. The performance is above average, and you don’t need to overspray at all. Three to five sprays and you’re good. Right now this is my favorite from the whole line and after this, Magnetic is now my second one. And today I layered it with Hermès Terre d’Hermès Parfum and my gosh... just try it.

This fragrance got me interested in the world of perfumes. I had never smelled anything like it until now. I couldn't stop smelling my arm when I tried it in the store. I sprayed my father's arm, went into the kitchen to make a sandwich, half an hour later I went back to his room, and the room smelled of this perfume. It is very powerful and long lasting. Every time I smell it it puts a smile on my face. It has many more notes than the declared ones, woody, incense, tobacco?, fruity and sweet too. Smells amazing from the beginning till the end. I shouldn't be writing this review because I don't want everyone to buy it and drive up the price, but it really is one of the most underrated fragrances out there.

Boss really are upping their game recently. The Scent Elixir is nothing new or challenging, but it is a fantastic concoction for the price. It is sweet, but not cloying; spicy, but not annoyingly so. Don't expect a natural scent though (well, apart from the red pepper, which is pretty realistic); you rarely get this sort of performance with volatile, natural molecules, but there is nothing screechy, annoying or muddled in the blend to my nose. It has a wonderful warmth to it that is really addictive to me. An outstanding scent with brilliant performance. Price taken into account (don't pay retail. I paid £60 for 100ml. who pays retail!?), this is an easy: 9.5/10 Sterling work, Boss!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10) I never thought I’d fall in love with a Hugo Boss fragrance, but The Scent Elixir completely changed my mind. Despite not being a fan of most Hugo Boss scents, this one feels special—unique and unmistakably refined. The longevity is outstanding, easily lasting all day, while the sillage is impressive without being overpowering. It’s the kind of fragrance that turns heads and lingers beautifully. Its distinctive and luxurious character makes it a standout addition to any collection. While it’s nearly perfect, there’s always room for a touch more magic to hit a full 10/10. Still, I highly recommend giving it a try—you might just fall in love like I did.

This is awesome. Such a nice cool weather fragrance. Love it! I have not liked or owned a Boss fragrance in decades. Boss Bottled Elixir is excellent as is this and I now own both. This is spicy, sweet, savoury and leathery with a bit of cinnamon and vanilla. I get a touch of tea in the drydown which I love. Some patchouli but more spicy. Reminds me a bit of JPG Le Male Elixir from a weight/ heaviness perspective. Different scent profile but similar style of fragrance. Projects well and has great lasting power. This is a serious fragrance from a house that I avoided for years even on the $29.99 shelves at Ross and Marshall’s. Super impressed with this. 👍

Ook zo moe en klaar met het hedendaags geurprofiel in de openbare ruimte, al die synthetische variaties van amber en vanille. Maar jongen wat mag ik hopen dat vanaf de komende herfst de hele "The Scent' lijn van Hugo Boss dat gaat overnemen, stel je toch eens voor hoe heerlijk dat zou zijn ...Oh als dat toch eens mag zijn. Hoe lekker. - I'm so tired and fed up with the current scent profile in public spaces, all those synthetic variations of amber and vanilla. But boy, I hope that starting next fall, Hugo Boss's entire "The Scent" line will adopt that. Just imagine how wonderful that would be... Oh, if only that were possible. How wonderful.

This reminds me of cross between 1 million Parfum and 1 million Royal. So if you like those fragrances you should like this one as well. I also get a little of the Boss Magnetic and Stronger with you DNA sprinkled in. Its a fairly sweet fragrance. The lavender and powdery notes are more present in the dry down. All in all, not a bad release. 6/10 - Nice. UPDATE: 8/10 - This is starting to grow on me more. I actually prefer it over the 1 Million it reminds me of. The opening is GREAT, I just wish it kept that scent from beginning to end, because the dry down is not as good as the opening. Will need to do more testing.

Christmas 2024 for me. Every single time I smell this fragrance it reminds me of then, now whether or not I had the best time over that period this fragrance makes it all the better, it starts out as a lovely spice and dies down into a sweet lavender, now although this fragrance is hated by a lot of my peers and have quite literally got told "You smell disgusting" by my own girlfriend I still grab for this fragrance in the winter, so if you want a spicy fragrance like this, bear in mind not everyone may love it, and one last thing. DO NOT USE IN THE SUMMER

The Scent Elixir opens with a punch of warm, fruity, spicy sweetness, which is the best part of the fragrance. When the drydown comes, it morphs into a creamy sandlewood bomb. It's a lovely fragrance, but if you have Invictus Victory Elixir, you already have this DNA in the drydown. In this respect, I wish the notes were reversed and the opening was in fact the drydown. That being said, The Scent Elixir is still a really lovely fragrance, but if you don't enjoy strong sandlewood, this is not for you.

Boss is on a row now. And this Scent is my favourite of em all. Love the simplicity, love its mass appealing, straight to the point. Almost no brainer kinda fragrance. Longevity and sillage well above the average and if you can find it for a good price, I say go for it (blind buy safe-ish). Starts really fresh spicy and I love the first minutes after spraying it. Then the lavender takes over and go quite sweet, but not so much. I enjoy it from the very start to the very end. Good job, Boss.

This perfume is so dependent on temperature - I tried it during the winter, and the pimento came on top with lavender, and I found it quite repulsive combination. But lo and behold, I tried it also during the Australian summer time - omg this is THE sh*t :D I guess the warm temperature suppresses the pimento, and I can only smell beautiful spicy sandalwood, with a hint of lavender. It’s so warm and sexy. Only disappointment is that in the hot summer, it lasts only 2-3 hours on my skin.

The more i test fregrances myself after reading reviews on a fregrance the more i learn not to rely on people's opinions about it, i read a lot of bad reviews on this one but the moment i smelled it i knew that i fell in love, same goes for another fragrances that got a great reviews and after smelling it I didn't understand why people gave it such a hype. Moral of the story, don't blind buy any perfume unless you try it, everyone has different taste and that's what makes us humans :)

Good stuff if you like The Scent DNA. Has an accord that is close to maninka, but isn't quite the same. From a sillage perspective, this thing is a powerhouse. I spritzed this on some paper and put it in a room with decent airflow. You could definitely smell this walking by the room for several hours. I did the same experiment with Boss Bottled Elixir and it wasn't as noticeable. Forget the haters in this thread. They'll try to tear down their own grandmother if given a chance.

I’ve had this for about a month and I really like it. It has a very spicy feel which could be good or bad depending on the season and situation. I definitely wouldn’t wear this for summer because of how spicy it is and it’s hard to wear everyday but it’s great for going out with friends and it could even be a date night fragrance. So overall I really like this but I wouldn’t recommend blind buying because of how strong it is and a lot of people don’t like how spicy it is.

I've reviewed this one before and I still love it - wonderful mix of sweetness, vegetal pepper, & fresh lavender with creamy woods. Quite unique and fantastic longevity and performance too. But the "main accords" section above should absolutely include "sweet" in the list, and near the top. This is quite sweet (but never cloying) from start to finish. The Boss Bottled flankers have gotten a lot of deserved attention lately, but this is another home run from Boss.

I have a plenty of fragrances ranging from the regular designer fragrances up until the ultra high niche fragrances, and dressed assured guys that this one is very very sexy fragrance. It has great longevity, great performance all around and a very sexy and handsome kind of smell. 🌹🪽 And just to be clear of it, I am talking about the original formulation the one that came out the first in 2024 because I have heard that they may have changed the formulations now.

This perfume smells a lot like one sold by Mango (a Spanish designer) for 25€, namely Red Sand. The note pyramid of Red Sand by Mango is: blood orange vanilla, amber vetiver, patchouli, incense Of course the Boss version is slightly different (I think it adds cinnamon) but not so much so I believe that Boss' pyramid is completely wrong. By the way: I love both. To me they smell like a warm wood soaked in juice. Very masculine but a soft and kind masculinity.

I just got this online blind buy because its hard to find even in department store or airport duty free. The opening was sweet with maninka and fresh with lavender. A bit spicy from pimento not overpower, just to bring some zingyness. But I do get some cardamom at the back to give it some depth. The drydown has sweet thick vanilla, almost like Invictus Victory Elixir with a touch of sandalwood. Its very nice.

just sampled this at a store, definitely fits in as a “the scent” flanker. i love the scent magnetic, and this is a spicier, warmer, juicier version of that. lavander is a note that i usually appreciate in perfumery and this really does it for me. cant tell if i like it more than magnetic but its not worth it either way given the price xp. def give it some time to go on sale

I went from a like to a love after having it a couple of weeks. This stuff is nice and different, but DON'T overpay. Ebay and Amazon want $170 for a 100ml, which is ridiculous. Got mine for $80 and it is a solid buy, but again, DON'T overpay. It will come back around again for that price or less. 8.5/10 - Great for nights. 2 sprays is all you need!

It sounds good, but really, we shouldn't want that!

Performance is great, longevity and sillage are great, but... way to sweet, way to spicy. This is a nuclear bomb and one has to go easy on the trigger. Not for summer or hot spring, better on cold winter, spring or fall days. If one likes sweet, strong, spicy scents, this is right up your alley. Not for me, though.

I adore this stuff!! My bottle is beyond beast mode!! Fragrances don't last on my skin long but the scent elixir is there the next day!! Everyone I know that has smelled it esp girls have went crazy for this one, Best release of 2024 for me and i really hope it sells well, this elixir really deserves it

This is a unique fragrance yet generic all at once. I get a very unique mix of a gourmand sweet fragrance mixed in with a savoury Spicy and leathery fragrance. The contrast is real. But sometimes it just smells like a run of the mill mainstream release made to mass appeal the general market. I love it

Great scent great longevity and sillage Theres Maninka fruit note the open spicy +sweet after 2 hours u can smell alot of lavender + cedar and lil bit of red pepper Great for office , brings a lot of compliments great for morning or night great for winter and cold days

9/10 lavender, wood, slight vanilla. This fragrance isn't complicated but it smells fairly niche. Compared to the original the scent (which I went through a full bottle of), this is incredibly different, don't really understand why stuff like this has to be a flanker.

if you enjoy The Scent then this smells like an elixer should. Very distinguished and unique. And strong. Love this stuff, so true to The Scent DNA. I feel like I'm getting my vitamins with each spray, but you only need 1 or 2 leaving you in a thick dreamy haze.

According to ingredient list: Blood orange, Lavender, Lilly of valley, Almond, Vanilla, Fresh Cut Hay, Tonka, Lilac, Rose, Cinnamon, Apricot, Butterscotch, Pepper, Clove, Lemongrass, Geranium, Ylang-ylang, Raspberry, Pineapple, Tea, Nutmeg, Violet. Love it.

This one my new favourite scents, projects very well and is long lasting, definitely can good 8-10 hours of wear out of this, easy on the nose and loads of people seem to like it as well, as I got a handful of compliments from wearing this.

I must have a weird batch I smell no spice just fruit..and I mean fruits like all kinds of berries Smells great lasts for ages,if I got a faulty batch I'm more than happy about that This and magnetic are the two best the scent fragrances

This and Bottled Elixir are the proofs that HB knows how to do great performance smelling scents when they want to. This stuff is powerfull, it lasts for ages on skin and clothes and has a brutal spicy, sharp, crisp scent. Just great!!!

Didnt smell any spice which is great since i dont like warm spicy that much. Has that boss the scent dna but is sweeter and fruitier imo (even tho it doesnt have any fruit notes). I like it, a bit expensive for what youre getting though

A vanilla and floral mix that's gentle and inviting. It also has a weirdly nostalgic affect too. I feel like I'm walking around a mall during Christmas in the early 2000's. Very warm and comforting, I can't wait to wear it this winter.

I have been waiting all year to buy it. It is crazy overpriced because of the elixir buzzword, however the hype is worth it that thing is beast mode spicy and warm with a bit of sweetness just how i like it.

This is my favorite fragrance ever, the opening is very sweet and spicy but the dry down is to die for it’s very woody and i can smell it on my clothes for days. Best elixir fragrances out there.

The best perfume i have in my collection. Warm and sexy opening, the dry down is even better sometimes i just want to eat my arm because of how good it smells. Just very lovely scent overall.

I think this one is truly unique; an amazing sweet-spicy scent that in my opinion is the best release of 2024 so far. I like this one better than The Scent Magnetic, which is also appealing!
