Hugo Iced

Just goes to show that you should never right off a designer/perfumer/brand whatever because you can always be pleasantly surprised. I think the fact that this is a flanker to a fragrance I wore during the late 90’s and had a bottle of until recently because I still kinda enjoyed the scent, but was the original HUGO really a good fragrance or was I just caught up in the nostalgia? Anyways, after going off it this Iced version didn’t really offer much if it was either generic crap or a tweaked version of the original, gladly it’s very interesting. The opening is green, I get basil actually, certainly mint, juniper and bitter orange for sure and a tea a little like bvlgari, with a vetiver background. This is a very impressive opening with nothing of those, generic modern accords, molecules or anything folks could describe as synthetic. Iced is a good name for it too, the freshness of the mint and greens make it superbly fresh. Then when settled it becomes extremely familiar and for me completely changes about as much as it could do, and resembles Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche which I know is a lemony, vanilla musk thing but it also has a kind of soft woody, powdery smell which is quite warm and even hints cashmerean or something like that. In the deeper drydown you can get another change but my point about this fragrance is that it’s excellent, transitions through several states and notes giving a genuinely refreshing ‘Iced’ experience without the usual cliches and it lasts well. I’m getting a bottle.

A really nice warm weather minty scent. There's almost like a cooling aspect to it. If you're listening to content creators on YouTube and think you can only spray three times, you're not going to get any life out of this. But if you spray appropriately there's no reason you can't get 7 hours out of it easy. No matter how much you spray though, I do think it sits kind of close. But I don't hate that. For me it's a great work scent. I'm sure it works in the office, but I mean for my work. I'm in and out of my work truck all day, and spend a lot of time outside. On a hot day, this is great. I get that cooling minty smell throughout my day. And just as I think it's gone, I catch a brief smell again. It's kind of rejuvenating.

Best in the super hot weather. Mint-citrus-tea. A very cooling fragrance that I spray liberally all day long. The performance isn't bad, but the top notes are so nice so it's worth respraying just for the pleasure of it. The base notes are simple and fresh, and it retains a lot of the fresh iced tea feel for hours. I spent $25 for a 75mL bottle last year at a rack store and used 2/3 of it in one year. I just found a backup bottle for the same price and snatched it up. It's not a fragrance that I want to ration. I just love to spray a ton on the hottest days. Love

This is Basic a Mojito package as a Cologne ! I feel a very nice mint, and the juniper and orange to me sounds more like rum and lime ! Loved the scent ! And also feels really cool when sprays right after the shower. For extra performance and experience I keep the bottle inside the fridge ! Sadly it doesn't last long as I would like ! But is overall and amazing piece ! Uniqueness: 7/10 Projection: 9/10 (it irradiates well after sprayed) Sillage: 4/10 it doesn't last long Naturallity of the scent: 9/10 (smells just like a mojito) Minty heaven for the summer !

Minty fresh, citrus clean with a wonderful bright opening. Perfect scent for daytime wear especially in spring and summer. Upon dry down the vetiver steps forward to an earthy, more masculine note. Completely inoffensive fragrance that is a great choice for gym or office wear. Projection and silage are moderate at best so this is more for the wearer than those in average proximity. Price is terrific since this is now often found on discount racks. Highly recommended as casual choice for a warm, sunny day of running errands.

This smells similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but with Mint instead of Orange (and doesn't last as long). The mint in the opening smells like a natural mint leaf and I love it, however it disappears quicky and you're left with the woody base as a skin scent within an hour. The problem is that the opening is addictive, so you want to reapply it, but all it does is intensify the woody base which becomes overpowering. If they could tone down the base and increase the longevity of the opening, it would be one of my favourites.

Such a good mint fragrance. It smells like rubbing fresh natural mint leaves between your hands while holding a cup of black tea. The subtle smell of orange peel in the background brings it all together. It's an addictive, fresh and comforting mix. I just wish this projected further as it becomes a skin scent within a couple of hours - that said, you will still get wafts of it for most of the day, even if no one else will.

Green fresh mint with some citrus and clean wood base. Like a sour mojito, a little bit synthetic. It will not blow your mind but works really good for summer with a cooling sensation when you spray it. As all Hugo Boss fragrance this has a bad performance of my skin. Longevity around 5-6 hours and close to skin sillage. It's good if you find on cheap price.

This one closely resembles Hugo Reversed in the opening which is minty green bitter orange that is very crisp, fresh and uplifting. I don't get any synthetic type notes but a rather very natural and genuinely refreshing ‘ice cool’ feel. The mint remains right through to the earthy/woody dry down. This is a mass appealing fragrance and blind buy worthy.

3.73 rating is too low for this fragrance. The smell is not unique but better than Versace Man Eau Fraiche in my opinion. Very simple fragrance. Sometimes simple smelling fragrance wins the day and satisfies us. I'm 37 years old guy and when I wear this, it brings out the youth in me..... 8.5/10

I have the 1st batch back in 2017... Yes it was silver bottle one not sure what they have done with it now.. I'm pretty happy with the Scent profile it's so uncommon ice mint added on to the bitter orange DNA of huge boss! Performance is also good.. Best for summer!

A nice surprise from Hugo Boss, an amazing new release that stands out and has a quality to it, as "simple fresh naturally smelling scent". It is a Very clean and fresh Orange flowery scent, has an absolutely amazing longevity, finally. Easily can be unisex.

at first doesent smell that great, but after 5 minutes, is really good smell clean perfect for after the shower or the gym, or stay home, is not gonna get attention of=r something like that, is just a perfume for yourself, and your couple, to stay cozy

Something about this reminds me of Armani Code Sport Athlete. Not the scent in general but there are some elements in this frag that bring me back to Armani Athlete. Both are very good and perfect summerscents. They have that in common as well :)

Wow this is almost a Heeley Menthe Fraiche clone. The mint and the tea give that heeley vibe. Very good!! Now i can buy a fragrance which smells like heeley menthe fraiche and save much money. Great. Performance on both are a bit below average

This is a great gym scent, lasts pretty well and sits on men's skin flawlessly.

ok so another one of those Marshalls/TJMaxx finds so if you are thinking about this one, definitely think about this one as a blind buy. It smells nice like a Citrus/Mint/Tea Scent if you like those notes. Don't guarantee Blind buy it unless you get it really cheap. It's a gamble. So I bought this for $30 at TJMaxx for a 75ml I believe was the size. It was bigger then the small bottle for sure. I brought it home tried it on and immediately reminded me of Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Compared with it since I have Versace Man in my collection and to be completely honest. It smells just like Versace man but without the Sour Lemon note. So if you don't like the Sour Lemon note, you actually may really like this. This scent smells like a nice Tea scent for sure with mint and Citrus definitely carrying on through it's dry down and never made me disappointed in it's scent. Though it wasn't powerful at all. Faded after about an hour and when my girlfriend was smelling it she had to bury her nose in my wrist to smell it. Not too good for performance. So if you plan to wear this, Go heavy AF on the spray. Make sure you get your clothes. It won't over power because it has no strength. Now here's the killer, girlfriend definitely disliked this one. Gave her a headache. I was so confused and thought she'd really like this one since she likes Versace Man. She agreed they smelled similar, So we compared both and she immediately was like "Nope. Versace Man is way better. Definitely don't like this one." So that goes to value as well. It wasn't worth $30 so I returned it. Definitely get this at $15 or less and careful if you plan to wear this around ladies, it may not actually be a winner as an attractive scent. Bottle is cool, I actually really like the flask design with the twist cap and flap. If you want a better performing scent like this, Go try Versace Man if you haven't. It's not exact, but definitely similar vibes and Woman approved.

Fresh, green, appealing scent. Easy to enjoy, difficult to hate. Equally difficult to smell after 1-2 hours, and that's a pity. Got this as a gift for Christmas couple of years back. Easy everyday scent; a thoughtless go-to fragrance if you don't want to smell too strong (office, or if you're that type of guy: the gym). And it really is a pleasant fragrance, but it does not last at all. Smells like (off my skin): I get the name "iced" because it opens with the fresh minty-tea notes with juniper backing, it makes you think of a glass of iced mint tea, with the flavours toned down (and no sweetness added). The orange is there, it's not really bitter: it just isn't sweet. The mint and green tea are very clearly distinguishable, with a nice citrus to complement it. The overall feel of the fragrance is a "green freshie" to me. The juniper and vetiver aren't loud, but clearly there supporting from the back. Sits close to the skin, which is fine if you like that, but its longevity is really the problem. I wouldn't recommend getting this one, unless you are OK with respraying every 2 hours or so.

This is a good summer fragrsnce. Not a powerhouse, with a medium longevity and spillage perfect for summer. 4-6 hours of longevity on skin, stays longer on clothes. To me personally it's a very green citrus fragrance. The mint note is fantastic with a bit of natural bitterness. Citrus notes consist of both lemon and orange mix. I do sense a bit of basil here, which is not listed. There is also a fresh cucumber note which nobody is talking about for some reason. Adding tea (green?) note is a nice touch, as it makes it very clean. All in all it is a nice fragrance, which is similar but not identical to Boss Unlimited, Lacoste White. Mint citrus combination is not something new, but it gets the job done. It is also similar to Paco Rabanne Paco, but to a lesser extent. Frankly speaking I would prefer this to Boss Unlimited or Lacoste White. I was not expecting much from Boss/Hugo Boss, but this is a very nice refreshing fragrance. For me personally it could be called "green" rather than "iced". But we can assume that mojito combination is a culprit here as some associations might arise.

This reminds me of Jimmy Choo Man Ice, and I like this better than the Jimmy Choo. Hugo Iced smells more natural. While the Jimmy Choo has a stuffy synthetic feel. Although Hugo does not have the bright orange juice intensity of Jimmy Choo. Hugo Iced is a blast of citrus and mint, and well done at that. There is also a blue and green vibe that coordinates nicely with the energetic citrus/mint combo. It seems like there could be some bergamot in there. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the sweet tea and the modern fruity generic DNA that is giving some weight to this fragrance. I would rather love to smell some clean fresh soapy substance. I purchased a small decant and the sweet tea scent was less which I liked better. Unfortunately, when I purchased a new bottle the sweet tea note is overwhelming. I suppose this needs to age. I guess that I can’t get rid of my Jimmy Choo version yet. I liked the decant because this is an eye-opening versatile fragrance. You could easily hit a couple sprays to refresh yourself before hitting the gym.

This is surprisingly well-blended for a designer fragrance in that it smells natural and not synthetic. Looking online and I see it's inexpensive too. This reminds me of new greenery after a fresh rain in the springtime. If there were a subtitle for this fragrance, I'd make it "The Freshness of Spring". I do not think "Iced" properly communicates what this fragrance is about. It opens with a minty freshness that's quite pleasant. Then it maintains a subtle minty freshness throughout while blending seamlessly with the other notes to give it a body. It's a light scent and you'll need more than one spray, but that's okay because it doesn't cost much. Fresh, rejuvenating fragrance at a good price. My hat's off to Hugo Boss for this pleasant surprise. I don't usually spend a lot of time smelling Hugo Boss scents, but today at the store I told myself I'd smell the bottles I wouldn't normally choose, and I'm glad I did because this one is a gem.

I agree with the other reviewers...this scent smells like an iced black tea with mint and orange in it. I can pick out a bit of vetiver, but not much and it's a very clean note of it. It's a very refreshing green scent that is great for a hot summer day. It does have an icy effect which helps you feel cooler. Performance is somewhat weak for me...about 4-5 hours. Sillage is pretty close to skin and doesn't project like most warm weather scents. Scent 8.5/10 Longevity 6/10 Sillage 3/10 Value 7/10 (If you can find for 25-30 USD) Presentation 7/10 (Basically a silver version of Hugo) Overall, not a blind buy unless you really love tea fragrances. Worth looking into if you want a nice gym scent or something to wear to the lake. I don't think it is worth full retail, but I always get it at a discount store and I keep it in my collection.

I actually like this one. It very fresh, clean, light, airy, and masculine. It has a "cold"/refreshing feeling, great for hot summer days, so the name Iced is approperiate here. However, it's not really a head turner or anything unique. Performance is a bit confusing, somedays it performs well, others it doesn't last. But, generally, not a strong performer. I mainly used it as a gym scent, and maybe that's when I felt its better performance, as the body heat might help it project. Overall, cool scent, not a must have, but could be a nice addition if you find it for really cheap. Scent 7.5/10 Performance 6/10

If I hadn’t received this as a Christmas gift I probably would have dismissed it without even trying. However I gave this a try and must say I really do enjoy it. The minty fresh “ice” take on this fragrance is very cooling and bright. I think this would be an amazing scent to wear straight out of the shower in the summer on a hot afternoon. Not sure what this is retail but I’d imagine it would be on the grey market stores online by now so well worth it at a cheap price. The performance on me was actually good today I got whiffs of this well into the early afternoon from spraying at 6am (so at least 7hrs).

marine - pleasant delecate water note/freshness fresh crisp slight bitter in top notes (good) light easy to wear female test not showing on my jumper a hell of a lot. EDIT SECOND TEST Overall a nice easy fresh scent, it doesn’t smell ‘typical’, nor particularly polarising. A young guy could wear, an older guy too. Or, I will wear it just because I can. You could layer this with an ozone’s ir aquatic, or a floral perhaps. A sweet one... hmm you’d have to test that, there could be some light woods in this ? I can’t see to reference as I type

This flanker definitely has an icy opening, but it changes into a less icy (though still pleasant) orange + tea smell within an hour. At first I was really hoping I'd found my long-desired icy gentleman smell (I yearn for a classy cologne that doesn't smell like vetiver or vanilla-tobacco), but the bitter orange and tea isn't that. It's very fresh and a nice change from the cedar + lemon trend of recent years, but it's a pretty casual smell. Hoping that cold and clean becomes a common style in the near future!

Starts off a bit generic with a fresh mint vibe, kind of what you expect from boss fragrances, its good but nothing great. I do however like the whiffs i get now and then when moving around, its quite plesant, for sillage and longevity i think it is pretty good overall i can faintly still smell it over 12 hours after one spray not to shabby tho, worth checking out if you like boss fragrances or mint in general.

Bought this due to the fairly positive reviews around the community and I thought ok this could be the new kid on the block for the summer rotation and the gym bag. A light and refreshing fragrance to reach for on hot days. This smells really nice and is exactly the type of composition you would want for a high-heat day. Sadly, it is let down by performance (or so as others think), for me it didn't project the best but it did last quite a while, I went to sleep the night I applied it, woke up and could still smell it on my skin (I did over-apply it, though).

Very simple fragrance. Imagine bringing your nose to a glass of iced black tea with a sprig of mint and a squeezed orange slice floating on top. Refreshing and short lasting (3 hours before I have to bring my nose to my wrist only to smell hints of vetiver), but the fragrance brings an air of pleasant lightness. 8/10, one of the few no-brainer scents on a 90+ degree day. Heavenly fresh scent for spring and summer. The mint comes out ever so nicely. Unfortunately the pro ends there. The projection and sillage are very weak. After an hour you won’t smell it on your skin anymore. I did 10 sprays to no avail. Note: the new packaging is in a bottle. The older packaging is in the Hugo boss canteen flask. I bought the bottled version but I doubt there is a difference

A minty, citrus scent that is suited to hot weather. It does not project well, but seems to sit as a skin scent for an average amount of time. For a fragrance this inexpensive, it does not smell overly sharp. I would hesitate to say it smells more expensive than it is. It is on-par, and smells better than some other fragrances in the same territory. See also: Curve Wave by Liz Claiborne.

It's a nice fragrance, Fresh, Crisp, Cool and Green. It smells so good and very pleasant. It opens up with like fresh bitter citrusy and green notes in the background then dry down is green woody. The Mint note is dominant in this perfume. This is suitable for the spring and summer, My wife bought it for me as a gift and I like Hugo Iced EDT for Men. Rating : 7.5 / 10

Works as a gym fragrance and smells kinda unique. Performance isn't amazing, but good enough for what it is. The mint, tea, and citrus combo do make this really refreshing, although it can get a bit annoying at times. I think there are better options for similar use cases, so I wouldn't recommend buying blind. Try it out in store, if you like the scent go for it.

Summertime jam! When the weather heats up, this is a go-to frag. The opening does have that icy mint smell and feel as well. It calms and cools at the same time. Dry down turns to that nice citrus note and then out comes the vetiver which gives off a nice earthly orange scent to me. For the price alone, it is a favorite in my collection for warm weather scents.

I don’t know what the guy below me is saying but I have the cocktail bottle and this smells nothing like invictus This is a gin and tonic fragrance. Opening smells like an ice cold drink, and it fades into a clean woody base. Lasts like 6-7h. Projects slightly above average. Very comforting, very good, but nothing wow. 7/10

I honestly like the smell of this 1 synthetic green tea and mint plus citruses kinda remind me just a lil bit of dior cologne and light blue woman summery scent average performance just overspray this has nothing to do with the round metallic turd in motion simple yet nice not top quality

The best freshie and most uncomplicated Hugo Boss male frag. It smells very nice and clean so it’s good for the office or day wear. I use it to layer with my beast mode’ frags to create a smoother scent when the occasion calls for it. (Beast modes are for clubbing in my humble opinion)

The upfront scents are mint and lemon-lime with a perceivable metallic or slightly sour background. Best if worn on temperate climates. I always feel polished and self-confident whenever I use Hugo Boss Iced. Best suited for casual gatherings during daytime.

Sniffed in perfume store and i think this is a beautyfully balanced citrus-mint scent. What i do not get is the longevity ratings here - basically equally claimed are poor, weak, moderate and long lasting. So which one is it :D

I wasn't expecting much when I got it. It proved me wrong. Decent longevity to boot. The mint and tea top pretty much lasts through out for me. Has a cooling effect on skin. Really digging this for a spring/summer frag.

I wanted to try a mint and iced tea fragrances just for a change. So far it did not disappoint only for one thing. Very weak longevity and sillage. In less than an hour you will lose the smell. Overall rating 6.5/10

Fresh, minty, nice when you smell it in the air but nothing special, generic and to me smells a lot like some body deodorants which have their tagged name as "sport" "fresh" or even "polar"

A really nice summer time fragrance. Very refreshing, perfect for the extreme heat. Not the best signature scent due to lack of versatility in the other seasons.

Cheap Summer freshy. Dominant orange sits close to the skin with eight sprays. Good for knocking around or working out. Pleasant but don't overpay for this one.

Has that Hugo boss magic to it like all their fragrances. Smells unique and sexy. I wear out the shower and before the gym. It’s a hard like not a love. 7/10.
