Hugo X Superman

Want to smell great? Superman to the rescue! This stuff is immensely likeable, fresh, and fun. Want to smell unique? Well, you might find that this is more Clark Kent than Superman in that department, with a mass appealing scent that's not going to stand out to your average fragrance enthusiast. Is it worth the $35 I paid for the sizeable 4.2 oz bottle at Ross? Absolutely. I'm admittedly a fan of the OG Hugo Man DNA, and this one definitely shares some of that. But the aldehydes and citruses in the opening here are different enough from the green apple in the original to keep this from being redundant. This stuff is super fresh, clean, sporty, and plenty masculine thanks to the woody patchouli in the base. The mint isn't overdone but gives it a nice green effervescent note. There's also a lightly sweet fruity note in there too, and everything works together so well to create a banger of a summer shower gel freshie. Total dumb easy reach, but a darn good one. The longevity isn't going to win any records, but it's solid enough especially for such a fresh accord. I'm in my 50s and I love this stuff, and my 21 year old son really likes it too, so consider it versatile as well. I'm not a comics or superhero enthusiast, but the bottle is pretty nifty. You're apt to find this next to Hugo's Man, Extreme, Just Different, Dark Blue, and/or Reversed at Ross. This one is closest to the greener woodier Just Different overall but I like this one better. The wonderful citrusy Reversed is less sweet, making Superman the more youthful choice. Dark Blue does its own heavier less fresh thing (I love it too), and so do the very woody mossy apple-centric Man and Extreme which smell almost identical to each other aside from Extreme's better longevity. Overall, this is a surprisingly impressive release that should appeal to Superman aficionados or guys that just want to smell good. I'm excited to put this one into heavy rotation entering into the late spring and sweltering summer where I live....

An Absolutley stunning and zingy and uplifting freshy. People are really going to miss this once its gone. I stocked up on several bottles once I got to wear it for a few days and realized how good it was after it grew on me. I have had 7-8 compliments already and 2 compliments from people who said how much they loved it on me before they even got within 5 feet of me outside. I would say it has better than average projection and sillage for a fresh frag and it has alot of depth to my nose. Its not a throw away frag just because its in a Superman bottle. I really appreciate it for what it is and I think you should give it a try

Man I'm loving this, what a great freshy, aquatic, citrusy, a bit sweet and cooling, perfect Summer scent!!!!! Update: God I love it, I literally can't get enough now that the weather has warmed up. This shot up into top 5 territory for me. I have quite a few freshies and Boss fragrances for that matter, aside from Boss Bottled, this is definitely one of my favorite Hugo's. It's a very nostalgic scent for me

it's just your average safe citrus mint fragrance with moderate performance with 5 hours of longevity although i do find myself fond at the idea that superman would wear this since he is a softie nothing else to say other then it's a 9.5/10 take these lyrics that perfectly resemble superman "🎶There’s a starman waitin’ in the sky He’d like to come and meet us But he thinks he’d blow our minds🎶"

I honestly love this fragrance I’m a hugeee fan of Hugo boss and I always smelled Hugo boss man in my childhood. I owned Hugo man extreme and this smells similar but a chin more fruity it’s beautiful. Every time I smell it I fall in love. Definitely falling in the top 10 of my fragrances 20/10!!

Very refreshing, invigorating , mint scent.. works great for the gym or casual use. Can be found at some rack stores for around $40 currently and is worth its current price point. Mass appealing , compliment getter.. Overall rating 9/10.

This is the perfect dumb reach fragrance to have on your gym bag. Synthetic? Yes, please, I don't want it to go bad quickly with all the sauna steam around. Fresh, uplifting, clean, potent.

mint on steroids, be careful tho as this one is super strong, i overspray usually but this one i cant do more than 3 or 5 sprays

I just picked up a second bottle at 50% off. Positives. I like the scent At 50% off I like perceived value for money. It’s long lasting Silage is ok, not over powering Neutral I get “90%”of the original boss DNA on dry down, I really like the original, though maybe it’s, what, 30 years old now? Not that that’s a bad thing, as I said I like the original.i don’t think that it has dated, even if it has, it’s still a pleasant smell. Cons I don’t like superman. Hate him, never liked anything about him, I hated that my dad decorated my bedroom with superman wall paper and that I had a superman duvet set. I liked Spider-Man and read Spider-Man comics. Dislike that this bottle has anything to do with superman, it doesn’t add anything to the scent, doesn’t remind me of superman or how I imagine he would smell, I imagine him to smell of his own ego which doesn’t smell like this. Give me kryptonitt, id send superman down in a flash. I’ve speculated with my second bottle, maybe I can sell it on if there is a niche following for this scent, as I said, I think that it is a nice scent. If not, I will be happy to use it myself. The bottle won’t be on the front row of the display, it’s not the wallpaper of my bedroom, now it’s my wife that makes me dislike the bedroom decor, at least she hasn’t thought to use superman wallpaper.

Hugo Boss Superman is a fruity, herbal, and woody fragrance. Its opening is fruity and sweet, with some green mint tones. This phase reminds me a bit of the opening of Boss Unlimited. As time passes, a woody and green base remains, with patchouli and some notes similar to juniper berries, which also reminded me faintly of a fragrance from the Y by YSL line. Being a fresh and woody fragrance, it could be considered for use in spring, summer, and fall. I found it more suitable for casual situations, or even office work, as it is pleasant and non-invasive. As for longevity, it lasted between 6 and 7 hours, with a regular sillage for the first 2 hours, and then it gradually decreases. In short, it is a typical Hugo Boss fragrance, with fresh, herbal, and woody elements. It should appeal to both young and mature audiences. However, I recommend trying it before making a blind purchase.

This definitely has the Hugo DNA, I like it for me. It’s similar to a cent you could wear even as a signature or plainly just all year long to almost any occasion. Some of said it’s a good sports set and I have no argument against that. But it would also be good for a date night out or even a wedding. I would say it’s geared towards the more mature end of the generation spectrum. If you want an age, I would say 30+. The bottle in the lid are very traditional Hugo, but the logo is really cool and on the backside, there’s a picture of Superman flying vertical. So it looks good in the collection for sure.

En esta fragancia no esperan encontrar un armado tan serio y me sorprendió, sus notas alcohólicas y verdes llenaron el lugar de un aroma muy compuesto, que usaría para una reunión más seria, sin omitir que sus notas frutales le dan esa cercanía que le abre abanico a usarlo en instancias menos serias. Simplemente un perfume que si fuera un joven profesional amaría que me regalen ya que tiene el equilibrio perfecto entre seriedad y uso diario.

Tested this out at the local counter. Hugo X Superman sounds so amazing. The smell is super crowd pleasing (generic) and easy to use (dumb reach potential). After sitting on the skin a while, it became spicier and a tad more than expected. If you’re looking for something along this line, don’t forget to check this one out. It definitely looks cool on the shelf too, with the superman emblem upfront.

Not a bad pickup and my local Burlington store. To me it's basically Hugo Boss Man. I've always liked that scent profile and for the price it's quite decent. Its a dumb reach for the gym or the office.

This is an okay fragrance, not bad but not great either. It's a very safe fresh citrus berry fragrance, it honestly kinda smells like juicy fruit gum with the tiniest bit of patchouli on the drydown. The longevity and projection are okay. I will have to agree this is more Clark Kent than Superman but House of Sillage has a Superman fragrance that feels more Superman so it's kinda nice to have both lol. It's good for runnings quick errands, a gym frag or maybe even office wear.

Tested this and the new bottled bold citrus, this is just an average fragrance like many of the hugo releases that has been released over the years, smells ok but nothing special, just another dumb reach imop, the new bottle bold citrus on the other hand is so much better, the trend continues in the bottle line, sadly cant say the same for the hugo releases. Ps even Superman agrees, this is not for him.

Opens green, spicy, fresh, a bit waxy, soapy, fruity, earthy. Amber, musk, pimiento. Conifer, vetiver, balsamic, pleasing woody notes and some pepper. Performance is OK, not fantastic on my skin. Inoffensive and fine for year round daily wear. Masculine. Doesn't give me superman vibes, kinda generic.

More like Hugo Man cause there isn't anything super about it. Generic fresh citrus/aldehydic scent that is very similar to the original with a hint of something warm in the back, maybe from the patchouli? I like it and I think it's better then the og but nothing I really care for.

Overal this is just a enjoyable and uplifting frag. Nothing unique or special other than an easy to wear, nice freshie for warmer days with moderate sillage and longevity. Scent: 6.5/10 Versatility: 7.5/10 Uniqueness: 5.5/10 Sillage: 6 Longevity: 6

Smells too synthetic and cheap. It's quite long reaching and aggressive. Notes in combination smells like something designed for high school boys. All in all, not serious perfume

Kind of similar to Montblanc Legend Spirit.

Smells kind of similar to Hugo Just Different, missing the cashmeran but similar DNA with the Apple/Mint/patchouli. More of a collector's edition of previous flankers, it's brighter, fresher, almost soapy in the late dry down. Has a mild projection, works better on clothes. Opinions will vary on whether this is redundant since I've only owned a couple of the Hugo canteen bottles, some of which have this DNA with their own respective twists. I will say it's a solid collaboration with my favorite DC hero, nice job Hugo💪

Fragrantica has too many delusional weirdos these days. Everything is "generic" to them. Check people's profiles before caring about their reviews. I swear most of these people don't leave the house and have no social lives. It's important to check what fragrances smell like to non-fragheads. It's good to stay grounded. On to the review: I agree with the Socal Scents review on YT. Minty fresh - it smells like Wall Street by Bond No 9 with a heavy dose of mint.

Fresh, crisp. Little sweetness to it. Other than that, this is a basic men’s fragrance. It doesn’t smell bad by any means, and it definitely has power. But it’s a basic men’s fragrance that a collab was slapped on.

Nothing new under the sun. It smells nice but too similar to others like Y, Mont Blanc Legend Spirit, Beckham Classic Touch and Invictus Aqua. If you have any of these you can pass with no regrets.

Quite similar to Creed's Viking. Except this is a bit spicier and headache inducing haha. I like it. It's long lasting as well.

Ugh... Harsch chemicals The notes should be for me but it just smells sour in a off putting way. Terrible
