Hummer

I bought this for my husband years ago and haven't found another scent that drives me crazy like this one on him. He literally turns female heads when we walk by, I have heard more than one turn to their partners and say "that man smells amazing, I wonder what it is?!" That being said, it does NOT smell the same on every man. I got it for my 24 year old son to try because he liked it on my husband, but it didn't have the same effect. Even his girlfriend noticed it had more of a spicy smell on my son, but on my husband it was more clean, crisp and airy, with a slight warmth to it. Maybe it's just not for everyone. But I sure am glad it sits so well my my hubby day or night, summer spring, this is definitely his signature scent.

Got it as a gift from my uncle many years ago and I loved it afaik! It smells great not unique very basic one but it was great. However, the performance was moderate ish. Perfect for daily errands type of fragrance. Overall , considering the price it’s not that bad.

Leave it to HUMMER to make a “Manly” Man fragrance lol, gotta love it. Nice masculine scent.

Hummer was absolutely fantastic when it was first released, I was smacked up by a butch musk. Unfortunately, being contracted to Arden, it has been carted out with the bananas and put on special, but ifvyoud been there a few years ago when infirat tried it, you'd have bought a trolleyful lol All I could say was WOW MUSKY!!! I think we should all keep in mind, this fragrance is licensed to Elizabeth Arden. What that means to me: Every fragrance I have loved that I found was licensed to EA has turned cheap on the re-release. I bought Hummer and it was gorgeouse, the second bottle I bought was nowhere near the same, almost undetectable. The exact same situation occured when I bought Britney Curious, or tried Usher He, Dirty English and Rocawear 91X. So essentially, if you've owned it and loved it once, leave it at that, because chances are, it won't be anything like the first.

I tried this while I was waiting in a chemist and it made me sneeze (though I was coming down with a cold). The opening is a little strange: there is a fruitiness which is made to smell weird by the combination with sharp spicy elements. It smells like over-ripe fruit (or perhaps monkey vomit). Thankfully this stage passes within minutes and what is left is a woody/spicy fragrance that is more old-school that I would have believed.It's more Humber Supersnipe than Hummer. The change from initial application to dry-down is huge! Based on first impressions I would not have bought this, but the drydown is definitely worth it!

It is a very nice scent, Fresh, Clean and Bright. It smells so good and very pleasant, similar to old school shaving cream.One of the best Hummer Men's perfumes. This perfume reminds me of past memories. It opens up with like fresh creamy spicy and green notes in the background then dry down is ambery woody. It is perfect for the spring, summer and fall. I really enjoy it and I like Hummer EDT for Men. Thumbs Up. Rating : 8 / 10

This has no business being this good ... like, not knock your socks off incredible but I was expecting this to be a bit of a dumpster fire. It's generic woody, earthy and generally pleasant. You even get treated to a surprising rubber tire type this in the mid that give this scent some charm and ups the man factor. I'll give this a generous 7/10 considering it cost only $17CAD

1ml Splash Bottle. Very basic scent but I think it does it quite well. Extremely well priced (especially for 125ml). my Skin Chemistry is abhorrent so I don't like commenting on longevity, sillage or projection. I Would definitely wear this during the fall and spring, summer at a push because I definitely get the spicy notes. Good for price bracket ig

A blind buy after hunting for this perfume for a long time. Though it's aromatic, I feel it's got some citrus notes too. Nothing super unique about it but its an inoffensive cheapie. Smells very common too. Good for daily wear or home wear. A unique bottle shape. A good gift for a car guy or petrolhead.

i like this perfume, fresh and spicy, in a fase of the pyramid it reminds me a bit of issey miyake, benetton man but just a few minutes, i love it but it must be sprayed enough to have a good projection, good sillage got compliments when i use it

Don't get the bad score. Yes it might come across as generic and simple but its beautiful none the less. All year around with moderate performance and reasonable price. Will definitely buy another

Smells like an vintage old Cologne it's not that bad, but not that unique as well. Sillage is good but not long lasting. good for work and casual wear.

I got this for like $8 at the drug store so my hopes weren't very high to begin with. To be honest, it's not that bad. Don't get me wrong, it's the most basic barbershop fragrance imaginable and both longevity and projection are extremely average at best. It works as a present for a younger person. If you have a collection and want a basic barbershop scent, this is a good one to have. It's not headache inducing and not too screechy. It works for what it is, a dirt cheap basic fragrance. Bottle is cool too.

Very average fragrance, but for the price, I guess it's not too bad. I've never received compliments when I've worn this, but I wouldn't discourage from wearing it again. It is more on the masculine side in my opinion.

Smells like a stick of Right Guard deodorant

I came across this fragrance for the first time many years ago, and remember saying to the person I was with, "They made a Hummer fragrance?! What the hell does that smell like?" Out of sheer curiosity, I purchased it on the spot in order to have that question answered. So, what does it smell like? Well, the answer might surprise you. When I think of Hummer vehicles I think of ultimate masculinity. A gas-guzzling, military vehicle that was popularized by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold was an 80s powerhouse, and that was exactly what I was expecting with this fragrance: a old-school powerhouse in the vein of Antaeus or Kouros. Something bold, loud, and long-lasting with monster projection. Hummer is none of those things. Now, that's not to say that Hummer is bad, but it certainly doesn't deliver on expectations. Before I delve deeper, let me correct some of the information posted on Fragrantica. Some of the notes listed on this page are incorrect. According to the Hummer fragrances official website, here are the actual notes for Hummer: Top: Fresh Accord, Cardamom, Leafy Greens, Peppercorn, Thyme Mid: Axle Accord, Tonka Base: Leather, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Amber As you can see from the notes, Hummer turns out to be a relatively generic scent with the standard base notes that accompany most men's fragrances. With all that being said though, there's something about this that is quite pleasing. Maybe it's the axle accord (supposedly the smell of auto parts) present in the mid. Whatever it is, Hummer gives off a very nice scent that you can't go wrong with. I have to mention the bottle design, because it's a huge point of contention for me. While I admire the unique design, this bottle is totally and utterly impractical. The bottle is too wide to palm comfortably in my hand, so in order to spray I need to support the base with my thumb and push down on the sprayer with my index and middle fingers. It's a real nuisance! At the end of the day, I'm disappointed yet also pleasantly surprised with Hummer. It's not the powerhouse fragrance it should be, the projection and longevity are quite weak, and it lacks the boldness required to place it on the Mount Rushmore of masculinity. However, Hummer does succeed in being the everyman's fragrance: the perfect scent that embodies your typical blue-collar worker. Hummer isn't fancy or pretentious; it's an inexpensive fragrance that works all-year-round for many occasions.

The notes list is wrong and the reviews for this one are pretty eclectic. I don't smell any thyme in Hummer at all, and have no idea how that note got in the pyramid. Forget "pimento" which gets mixed up with allspice in pretty much every frag on here, and ignore the rest. This is simply a sweet, ambery lavender scent. It smells like a rehash of twentieth century lavenders, sort of a cross between Avon Tribute and Ungaro pour L'Homme II. It has the woodiness of the former and the quality of the latter, with similar strength and materials in use. It lacks the faintly animalic twinge of Ungaro, and isn't as strident as the Avon, and it's sweeter and warmer than both. My frag is distributed by AB Diversified Fragrances, and I know that in past years it was by Riviera Concepts. It's made in the USA. I bought a bottle based solely on the review by Luca Turin, who gave this a three star review, mentioning that the randomness of perfumery gods had struck again, and it's "not bad." It's hard to dislike this fragrance, not because there's anything particularly special about it, but because it's a very rounded and comfortable smell. It's sort of a barbershop fougere related to Skin Bracer (and more distantly, Brut) with an ambery presence and a gentle sweetness that says shave soap and styptic. The quality of the lavender is pretty remarkable in that it buzzes in the nose, wafting in and out of perceptibility, and it's not overbearing (no sclarene). You can sense it has some real body on the retrohale, and there's a shimmery dimensionality to it if you focus on it. For a fragrance with just a lavender, a sweet amber, and a mildly milky woodiness in the backdrop, Hummer impresses me.

I bought it for collector's purposes just for fun since I've owned an H3 and an H2. I've read that it's a pleasant but rather generic scent, which is true. Nothing unique. In my opinion it should have been something like Fahrenheit or something ghastly that makes women hold their noses and run, like pretty much everything from Tom Ford. It's really the shape of the bottle as the reason to purchase it, as it's designed to be a play on the Hummer H1 or H2 silhouette fro the front or rear. So it's only a collector's thing really for the bottle, not the fragrance. And for what it's worth, I think it's hilarious how an SUV can draw so much irrational hatred out of people and be such a lightning rod for literal physically violent hatred to the point of them literally trying to run into me on the highway (it was ALWAYS a beat up Subaru). Out of all the things in the world that truly deserve criticism, a fricking truck that gets better mileage than the average heavy duty Ford or Chevy pickup shouldn't be one of them (my H2 got 17 highway, H3 got about 23). I've had muscle cars that get way less than that, were louder, and stronger, and more obnoxious. Not a peep from the haters.

The reviews for this one are all over the map, and since I liked the listed notes I took the opportunity to buy a Riviera Concepts/vintage bottle. I sprayed once to the chest and was surprised by how musky it was. I could also detect the thyme and perhaps a bit of lavender (or that may have just been the thyme along with something else). It's clearly spicy and a touch "sweaty" (presumably from the caraway) but I got little in the way of leather, sandalwood, or tonka (I'll have to spray more next time). It just faded away from there, though I got mild wafts every now and then for several hours. I can see the comparison to McGraw but that is a lot more "synthetic" to me, and not as interesting. I think this might be an excellent scent if I sprayed more but it might not be for me (if I got a decent sandalwood or leather note that might help a great deal). UPDATE: Tried it again. I think the idea was to do a Patou Pour Homme (vintage) or Fendi Uomo type scent, and it's not terrible, but at the time one could buy Fendi Uomo for little money, and it's superior in every way.

Hummer won't win any awards for uniqueness, but who cares when it smells this good? This is a sweet lavender and tonka bean-dominant scent that dries down to a spicy and creamy base. I don't smell any leather or pimento in this. Although Hummer doesn't resemble any one fragrance in particular, it will remind you of something you smelled in the early 2000's. It's unquestionably masculine, with strong projection. Niche fragrance snobs will hate this and say it smells like chemicals (it doesn't), but this is for guys who just want to smell like men, not like cookies or cake.

Today the large bottles of Hummer were on the clearance table at a local store, so I gave it a try. To me it smells very much like McGraw by Tim McGraw (Coty). It's so close that they are the same to me. If I didn't have McGraw I would probably buy Hummer. It's a sweet-ish, Mossy opening with Cardamon (McGraw's opening is Moss & Nutmeg) that dries down to a Sandalwood-Amber base. Judging by the slowly fading spray on my wrist, this would last about 4 to 5 hours, and after the first hour the sillage is close. I prefer McGraw because it's a little bit stronger.

Found this on clearance, and was dared to buy it. It smells very generic. All I get from the opening is an antiseptic, generic cologne/aftershave scent. The drydown, if you could call it that, is a spicy leather scent that sits very close to the skin. It lasts 30-50 min. After that it turns into a SUPER skin scent that you can only smell if you try, and it will make your stomach turn with its artificial sweetness. That's it. Makes a good air and fabric freshener. Scent: 4/10 Development: 4/10 Longevity: 2/10 Sillage: 3/10 Drydowm: 5/10 Overall: 4/10

Hummer is like the big brother of H2.as H2 was aquatic,hummer is about spices.it starts with the sharp notes of spice and pepper but cardamom sweetens the scent. I'm glad that it lightens after a short period. the ingredients are good.in fact most of them are my favorite ones in a men cologne(except patchouli) it's very masculine,strong and not suitable for those baby boys at all.personally I prefer H2,which is younger.but they are going on the same line,this one is just more mature.the shape of bottle is cool,like a "H".

This is a surprisingly nice fragrance but nothing special. The notes list on this is all wrong, I'd call it a summer fragrance, no thyme, very little patchouli and a definite citrus note that isn't listed. You won't get compliments wearing this but it is still a very wearable, if unremarkable fragrance

This has been my grandma's perfume since they launched it and she always smells good. Although it smells more manly from the bottle, on her the tonka really comes out and she ends up pulling some powdery notes as well which suits her.

This is hot and spicy. Like chili pepper and nutmeg, like something is cooking if ya know what I mean. This has been done elsewhere since many times so it's not unique but it is a formula that works.

Its ok, im wearing it right now. It smells peppery and strong, but I have gotten negative comments while wearing this...and also I tend to sneeze a lot when I have it on.
