Iceberg Man

Unlike one reviewer, I don't think this smells much like VIP Playboy Men, except perhaps for those who don't have much experience with these kinds of scents. I do agree with those who said the drydown is similar to Dior Homme Intense. This is a big step up from most of the Playboy line, and once again makes me think that the "top designers" have a major issue, because they are restricted (or self-restricted?) with IFRA and their prices are simply not justified relative to these "cheapos" that are really good. I can imagine many guys using this scent yet telling everyone it's DHI, and who would be able to tell? I waited for a good deal on a bottle and I'm very glad I did! I don't agree with the reviewer who said this is just an old grandpa scent, because this isn't animalic, this doesn't have that "blob" quality that so many of those did, and it also lacks that heavy musky element. This one is more articulated and the lavender isn't as strong as it was in so many of the older "masculines." Instead, it has a kind of particulate texture that is more in line with "modern masculines." Also,I think there was a Paul Smith scent, perhaps Man 2, that is somewhat similar, and since that's hard to get now at a good price, this might be a good substitute for some people. UPDATE: Second wearing and it's as good or better than the first wearing. Unlike some scents, which I find less compelling on second or third wearings, such as One Man Show Ruby Edition, this is "the real deal;" a "super cheapo" that is way up there with the better designers.

I'm from Poland in Central Europe. I bought it today at local Rossmann store in my hometown. 144,99 PLN (less than 40 USD) for 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) After removing the cork I sensed the smell slightly diluted Gucci Pour Homme. One spray on my hand and I sensed for... I don't know, maybe for half a minute? lemon mixed with black pepper. Which then developed into a sweet powder scent. Sweet but fortunately not too sweet - no choking, no headache. This is definitely the most feminine part of this scent (Iceberg Man) as a whole, it will be to many people "love it or hate it" part. When the smell starts to settle and dry on skin, it develops into... My mother which is 62 y/o woman commented as follows: "what a beautiful scent!". She told me that this scent reminds her one of Max Factor's powder from the 80's. Design of the bottle is also very interesting, it's slightly twisted prism. It looks as if someone turned the Givenchy Very Irresistible for men bottle.

I must say I find this very sexy.. Got it for the fella I`m with for winter as it was cheap enough, and read the reviews here, didn`t make much of it, I just wanted something `wintery` for him as he has all sorts of citrusy and soapy scents..This is peppery-amber with a good dose of labdanum and woods; it smells strong on him and appears to be lasting too. The name aptly describes this scent I think, it is `manly`. Strangely enough he likes it too, which does not happen often - I got him fancier perfs in the past and paid no heed to them, the only perfumes that made him truly happy so far were Versace Dreamer and Calvin Klein Obsession (both `cheapies`..) To this one he said `this one is good` straight away. Both of us are happy. Fellas, try this one in the winter months, it will be a good friend if ye like strong and spicy scents.

This fragrance reminds me of a few other fragrances. Yes, it has a very similar vibe of DHI. But the similarly is bigger to Rochas Lui and Lanvin Arpege pour Homme, both fragrances sadly disconnected. To me this one is a perfect replacement for those two. Performances are just perfect for me, great longevity but with a very classy moderate projection. This fragrance punches so much above its price. Outstanding quality, the definition of a hidden gem.

Best designer release of the decade! Absolutely stunning fragrance. Beautifully woody, dry, warm sophistication with a perfect, never pushy yet extremely long lasting performance. It lingers and pleases the wearer for the enitre day and leaves a trail of masterfully blended intelligent, humorous and vibrant aura. You can be reminded of others fragrances yes but no compsrison here because this one exceeds and superceeds them all. Bravo Iceberg!!

I would easily pay both double and triple the price for this fragrance, it's really that good. It's versatile, it's comforting and it's unique. I like both Giorgio Beverly Hills Red and Davidoffs Silver Shadow and I rank this one even higher. For the price, you can't go wrong. Give it a try and see for yourself.

If you are looking for a clone of Pour Lui this isn't it. If you want a fantastic fragrance that shares many of the same great qualities as Pour Lui then this is a gem to be had. The performance/quality are top notch and I would highly recommend checking this beauty out.

One can sit and meditate on the interplay of floral and spice notes as they gradually yield to a massive Patchouli base warmed by creamy Amber and its constituent Labdanum, Styrax, and Benzoin elements. For Patchouli lovers this might be a pinnacle of its expression.

The price has really dropped on this beauty. For a while it was $50+ per bottle if you could find it, now both Amazon and ebay have it for around $25 for 100ml bottles. It's a good time to grab a bottle if you have been wanting one and a steal at $25.

Candy Man! The best edt from Iceberg. Amber with sandalwood mixed in great bottle. Drydown is amazing, price is very good and it's not popular scent. Love it! Longevity: 8 hours+ Projection: moderate Rate: 10/10.

Secret Tomford Noir Light Version ~omit animal add copy paper~ or L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme another edition

I bought this one, because it has some resemblance to Rochas Lui. A fragrance that I adore, but sadly is discontinued. I must say it has some of the touches of Lui, mainly the aromatic aspect. Lui is more dense, while this Iceberg stays on the surface. It's more playful and won't go into the daring depths of Lui. But it's close. And both give of an alluring profile that I absolutely love. Well done!

Words to describe Iceberg Man - Ambery, boozy, cozy, dry, spicy, woody and a tad sweet. I get the Dior Homme Intense comparison. This one doesn't project as much though, making it more versatile. This is your Netflix and chill type of fragrance, unless you want to make it your signature scent and smell alluring three seasons out of four. Sexy, but mature sexy. Price-Quality ratio, unbelievable!

For under 12 bucs i got very nice manly scent. Ambery, dry, semi sweet, resinous beauty. Very good performer. Im highly satisfied. This is no way grandpa/dated scent. What an ignorance could say that. Benzoin amber combo makes it refined and mature but in no way oldish type of scent!

this is just another ordinary amber/lavender grandpa frag. If you into mediocre cheapies, this one is for you otherwise you can skip this. Good longevity thou and decent for the price I got it (10$) 6/10

Nothing of different...but for the price is a very good amber parfum.i don't know the performances because i tried it on paper.

Balsamic, modestly aromatic and semi-sweet amber and vanilla. Smells like "Goodies" candy to me with a vanilla and licorice (not a listed note) vibe. Iceberg man is smooth and chalky. It reminds me of Elie Saab Essence Ambre #3. On me this sits closer to the skin and projection is within an arm's length. Could be a good date night or going out scent. Office friendly, better suited for cool to mild weather. You can go heavy on the trigger with this one

I was expecting so much more based on the reviews so I was disappointed. It’s a pleasant cedar-based sweet scent but it’s so light, soft and doesn’t project much that only the wearer of the fragrance can smell it. If you want a personal scent only where you can smell it slightly then go ahead but if you also want others to smell you then skip it.

Nice and cheap fragrance. Excellent price, but it matches the overall presentation of the perfume. Poor durability and strength. For me, it can be used all year round, but in the summer the performance will be the most unsatisfactory. Overall rating 7/10.

First impressions: We are living in such a big lie that the fragrance industry has been pushing to us for so long and charging ridiculous prices for wannabe "niche" offerings and I've purchased this 100 ml gem for 10 euros and man, oh man. It combines the best parts of Tom Ford Noir and Dior Homme Intense. Not a clone, but in the same fragrance genre. Great powdery amber with a touch of labdanum that amplifies that already gorgeous amber. 8-10 hours on my skin with moderate projection. I wonder if this kind of niche blend can be achieved for a such a small amount, why the hell are we willing to spend so much on trendy niche brands? Probably the best designer release of this decade, and I stand by my words! EDIT 03.02.2022. - two and half years have passed since my initial review, and while I'm still standing by what I said in the original review, I suggest you don't pay over 25$ for it. I have seen many sellers, including Youtube reviewiers trying to sell you this for over 100$ which is ridiculous. Nice and pleasant and great cheapie! Don't overpay. I got my bottle for 13 bucks.

Iceberg Man reminds me of Guerlain Heritage. It’s not as complex or high quality as Guerlain, certainly, but it also has a bit more mainstream appeal. It’s as if Iceberg modernized the Heritage formula, omitting moss, rose, white florals, aldehydes- notes that might compel some to use the “fusty” descriptor. This one is a smooth, amber patchouli with many traditional masculine perfume notes added in. Warm, cozy, mildly sweet but not cloying at all. Definitely a hidden gem of a fragrance if ever there was one.

Great price for a good brand that is not well known and thats all a good thing. Very similar if not identical to Tom Ford Noir but a bit cleaner and less powdery. Let it dry and smell the base of amber. Very beautiful. Very unisex. Very inexpensive grab it now before they are gone or marked up. I guess ironically it will mark up if everyone goes and buys it now and creates hype!

The opening is very peppery but soon enough I noticed the resemblance with Tom Ford Noir. It's almost the same, but a bit less deep and minus the rose. You need to be confident to wear this since it's not a typical scent with happy notes. It's aimed towards more serious gentlemen.

Performance is average, like 4 hours of projection and 5, for the price is really ok, it's a dumb reach for cold days and similar to Givenchy Gentleman eau de parfum, and Rochas Moustache eau de parfum, the price is great, $20...

This scent is ideal if like me you live in a cool climate as this scent in the heat would be a bit much but scent has nothing to do confidence its all about loving the scent you choose and then the confidence follows x

Similar vibe and smell to Valentino Uomo Intense. Iceberg man is a bit stronger on initial blast than the VUI, but for the price, this is pretty solid.

It is a resemblance of Tom Ford Noir. Drydown is really identical to Dior Homme Intense. Long lasting and good sillage. A price/performance stuff.

I'm surprised no one noticed Fahrenheit resemblance. It first came to my mind, dior homme later because of vanilla. Very retro, in the best way.

Oh please deAr cheap fragrance manufacturer gods. Keep making good cheap fragrances. It keeps the snobs on their arrogant toes

Oh and if dior homme is out of your budget then grab this its amazing quality for the price they are quite similar x
