Rose Divine

Rose Divine by Celine Ellena was my personal unicorn for over the year. As few other old frags from Isabel Derroisne, - unique by designs and scents. It means I was hunting for it high and low and very low day by day. And at the end - its a Happy end. First of all the bottle is just brilliant, shaped like an antique wax seal, with glass at the bottom carved as a rose. Liquid is really purple, while glass itself is very clear. Now the scent. Forget all deep and loud and artistic niche roses now, as majority of them sunk in ambroxan like in many of JHAG or Rose Perfection by Piguet. Which sooner or later will make you hate the rose as it is. Now Rose Divine is utterly deep and rosy-rose, the parfum concentration has 1% of rose absolute from Grasse, so really its a sensational pleasure for nose to smell not synthetic substitute but real rose oil first of all. The structure is like dark silky velvet - I can't find better words, its definitely for the special evening or private occasions as blueberry here unlike any other berries in modern fragrances, that we used to. Celine Ellena made it in a very gothic way, dark way, red currant brings with itself this special tart touch, but real rose veil is covering all multi layers anyway, I am not sure we have all notes listed as its rather incensy to me in second half. The most amazing thing with RD is that even when you spray only your wrist and smell it from different angles - each few degrees turn will bring you something new and that's what you are looking for in a fragrance - to be amazed. I think its a masterpiece, for rose lovers - Something Special. If anyone by any chance owns any old Isabel Derroisne fragrance - always happy to swap or to buy.

I've been waiting for this perfume w/much anticipation. It's my first Isabel Derroisne scent and for a niche hound like me it's quite a find.This line is like a ghost here in the USA so I jumped at the chance to trade for this. I must say~I can be a smart girl! On me she smells dusky. That's the perfect word. Like a reflection it is both light and dark. It's as if when released from this exotic bottle she comes out w/promises of secrets from long ago. Something cloaked about to be revealed yet when told it was something you've known all along. She whispers comfort and warmth instead of mystery and intrigue. Yep~the genie from this bottle comes out w/a blanket instead of a lamp. This particular blanket is woven w/a lot of gorgeous sandalwood and sweet rose. I find it strikingly unique and an extreme pleasure to wear. I LOVE smelling like this! I'm 100% sold on this line after recieving this brilliant offering. I can't wait to scoop up my next one! Well done!

Intense roses, red, sensual, passionate! Roses in the output, the heart and the drydown surrounded by incense, sandalwood and nutmeg. The smell of the East, Turkish markets, mystery and languor. No,aren ́t roses fresh and dewy,isn ́t light and delicate aroma, it brings us to the desert sands. Extremely feminine and seductive!

I'm very afraid that this fragrance was discontinued.I can not find it nowhere! :-(

Isabel Derroisne surprises with every scent. My love for the I.D. brand grows stronger with every their scent I buy. It's an interesting aromatherapy and sexy scent. The rose is really divine. It opens on my skin with lite rose and a ginger, and currents are smelt close to skin. The bottles are of unique design and the scents are fantastic. I respect I.D. for such compliance .

Very interesting fragrance. Rose + blueberry...hmm, I've always wondered what would a blue rose smell like - probably this is it;)Light but sensual. Though it isn't too sweet, it reminds me of rose petals with sugar icing - divine, indeed!

Fruitier than fruity rose. Very good composition, has some tartness to it. Don't think guys can pull it off as easy as girls. But hey, we all wear what we want. I wonder why the brand stopped existing, their stuff is really good.

The bottles are so beautiful, that I would buy it only because of the bottle. ;o) I know from one forum (punmiris.com), that their Ametoscane with iris is beautiful and I even can image the scent ;o) I love iris.

Light, nice, very true fresh rosescent, and I have to agree with Marianne, with so dramatic and dark bottle you woud expect something rich and sultry but this one isn't.

A very light and powdery rose fragrance. In my poinion, it doesn't match the dark bottle that would make you think of something dark and warm.

Isabel Derroisne has beautiful design for her parfumes. These fantastic perfume bottles... Intereseting - does it smell how it looks? :)
