Blood Cherry Cordial

I really liked this. It smells exactly like a cordial cherry. The thing I liked is it was strong and it lasted forever. I put it on at 5:00 pm, went to a game night, came home, went to bed, woke up at 9:00 am and could still smell it on me.

I bought myself a These Sinful Three collection specifically for this perfume, and it hasn't disappointed me. The heady, delicious chocolate is sweet enough to give you cavities. Beautifully blended with syrupy cherry, it almost crosses from scent to flavor in uncannily delicious intensity. On my skin, the grown up candy notes took center stage for several hours, with the base of sexy, honeyed musk slowly coming forward to a warm, long lasting dry down. There's something very witchy and inviting about this scent- I swear that Vincent is working some kind of magic here, and I never want it to stop. The complexity of this scent will probably appeal to you if you like Angel, or other delicious gourmands blended with non-food elements in a successful way. I've received tons of compliments on this, and it seems to last forever. I put it on in the morning, and I can still smell it at bedtime.

I just compared this to Gritti - Duchessa, and Duchessa is spices and booze plus size some strong perfumey dry down, when compared to Blood Cherry Cordial. This one is more gourmand, like sweet cherries and chocolate! It is sweet and cute while still being rich and seductive. Like a vampire - looks innocent but is dark inside. Up close it can give a big of soapy vibe, but it's not major. It mainly has a similar vibe to Panah - Strawberry Delight, except this one has cherries instead of strawberries and is less cloying /overwhelming. No off-putting, weird notes in the dry down and later in the wear, which is a big plus! ❤️ Also, for those who don't know - it was relaunched and now is in regular Ikiryo bottles, that's the version I have (not the initial listed edition version).

Starts with a blast of treacley cherry cordial and chocolate. Immediately starts to dry down into a powdery note reminiscent of incense sticks in a corner store: dry tobacco, sugar, and crumbling yellowed paper. There is a dirty note here, but not in an expensive way. Unidentified spice that lingers long after the cherry is gone.

This is a lovely syrupy, honeyed cherry. The opening is that bright rich chocolate with cherry. As it settles down I get the deepened boozy cherry liquor with realistic chocolate. The bottle is gorg and this is a good cherry if you like gourmand/chocolatey scents. In the heat, it’s a beast!

As a primer to this collection, I strongly believe that the artistic expression here was something more along the lines of "These Three Stank A** H**s". As in a collection of fragrances that represent one of three call girls, each of which whom possess a distinctly undesirable feature about them. The artistic expression then places you as the recipient, whom after having paid in-full upfront now has to figure out what to do with their unpleasant company. Upon my initial impression, I would suggest that the unpleasant attribute of our lady Blood Cherry Cordial would be a dumb p**** that's super loose. The fragrance is considerably sweet with the chocolate and cherry, but the notes are very poorly supported, with seemingly no surrounding elements whatsoever to add any depth, complexity, texture, or dynamic stimulation to them. The aroma is so simple, that it's demotivational, and leaves you feeling very ripped off. Very natural chocolate note here too, which I'm personally not a fan of. I can't image anyone would be able to actually enjoy this for very long. It fails on both the naturalist front and the minimalist front as well—impossible to respectably identify as either style with dignity.

I love it when a perfume throws me into researching a piece of history. This one, about Elisabeth Bathory - with whom I share a homeland. Fascinating story to research especially while sniffing bourbon, cherries, chocolate and honey. According to several historians, these stories of her murders and blood thirst are tales and she was in fact innocent - framed by relatives to strip her of her power and wealth. Great, natural realistic perfume - smells like debauchery, luxury and lust. Nothing bloody or metallic about it. Thankfully! I'm telling you - she was innocent, envied and framed!

I'm obsessed with the history of Elizabeth Bathory and the imagery and art behind this; but cherries, vanilla and cacao? I'll just save the money and wear my Paco Rabanne Black XS for Her or one of my other "dark" cherry scented fruity florals. Even the cheapie Body Fantasies Vampire's notes sound more interesting. Since when do cherries = blood? Give me something slightly metallic at least!

Seems like this is completely unavailable anywhere online. Would absolutely love to get even a 5mL decant of this, since it's discontinued by the brand.
