Desdemona

I've had Desdemona for a while, but it wasn't on the database the last time I checked. I have massive respect for the perfumer; I have several Ikiryo perfumes, and Vincent was kind enough to send me samples of many of them. I decided to wear Desdemona this morning. It's a beautiful, sunny and mild spring day here. To my nose, the most prominent notes are pepper (first) and then peach. I am getting little whiffs of tea and musk as well. All the Ikiryo perfumes I have behave in a similar manner - they sort of waft around you and you get waves of scent for hours. Sillage is moderate and longevity is very good. Desdemona hasn't been put in a group by Fragrantica - but I'd describe it as an adult fruity floral.

Desdemona is a difficult perfume to interpret, you have to give it time to express yourself, there is something strange in this perfume, I feel like the perfume of clothes of that time, ancient clothes, something of that era was bottled by the always magnificent Vincent. A soft perfume but with good longevity ... a white musk made "dark", as if it were inside an ancient and damp house ... interesting. Sillage: 6./10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10
