Oneirogen

Oneirogen is a wonderful, extraordinarily artistic and evocative perfume. A very particular, ethereal and dreamy perfume.... its strong point is Blackberry and musk. I really like this perfume so much, here, Vincent has created something wonderful, like other of his perfumes in this collection that I have heard. Oneirogen enters me, as something distant and lived....emotions. Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9./10

Oneirogen is a beautiful and quite unique fragrance that smells familiar and otherworldly all at the same time. There is something comforting about it that makes me feel calm and serene and when I smell it I get muted images of a colorful pond in a storybook. Don't ask me why but that is what comes to mind. There is something that reflects my childhood, a scent memory that I can't place. Maybe it's the blackberry, my grandparents had blackberries in their backyard. The lily in this is beautiful. There is something about this that makes feel a bit nostalgic but also sad. It's a lovely fragrance but I sense some sadness or emotion tied to it. Possibly it's just my memories that I can't place. This is the fist I have tried from Ikiryo and it's interesting enough for me to want to venture into this Dreamhouse to discover more.

Ikiryo/Dreamhouse fragrances are pretty darn cool. I love the concept, stories, note blends and... the bottles!! Oneirogen is a charming and pretty feminine fruit/floral. It reminds me of my very favorite French Blackberry jam. Sweet, but not overly so. One can pick out the tea and water lily readily, and the musk is noticeable but not a big star in this show. Thank goodness that evil 'ol Iso E Super is held in check, not overloaded in Oneirogen... it actually does something rather nice here... and doesn't make me sneeze or give me a headache. Soft and gentle, calming and very wearable. Beautifully done.

This smells so interesting. I can’t place exactly what it is. It smells of berries. Not jammy. Like berries nearby on the vine. When I first smelled it, I dismissed it because I was into darker fragrances. Even so, there is something so special about it. It’s beautiful and very complex. I am not a fan of iso e super, but I made an exception here.

A sweet blackberry with a hint of something oriental. Has an otherworldly quality that reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki movies. Not sure if I would buy as I have another blackberry fragrance I prefer, but I'm grateful for the chance to smell this work of art.

simply a berry oil; a nice juicy berry

This is the well-behaved sister of Ghostdance by this house. I get mostly a clean, fruity musk with gentle white florals. There's no sweetness here, it's very toned back. This fragrance is very likable and mass pleasing but nothing groundbreaking for me. Smells like a somewhat typical designer scent with a bunch of musks, floral chemicals, synthetic berry chemicals, and a dash of Iso E Super if i'm being honest. Don't hate it, but not a huge fan of this one given the price tag.
