Piper Leather

This is my favourite scent from the illuminum range. The opening is peppery but fresh. However the drydown for me is the highlight of this fragrance, the Olibanum is prominent and is very pleasant to my nose. I haven't smelled Cuiron by Helmut Lang but if this smells similar to something so revered then that's a big plus. I would agree with many here that the 'leather' in the name is deceiving as it's hard to pick out the leather note. I've smelled many leather fragrances such as TF Tuscan Leather and they have a much heavier and richer leather smell. Piper Leather smells cleaner, almost like a spicy aquatic so its much more wearable and less offensive than typical leather scents.

An amazing leathery lightly spiced perfume , enhanced with a touch of divine olibanum resulting a non harshing soft leather potion ; one of my favorite leather based perfumes with good performance and joy to wear , yes it is similar to "O" from blood concept but spices makes leather lighter and smoother than mate ; i found quality of used materials is fine and high , suggested at least to try especially if u r looking for new presentation of leather perfumes

A gorgeous suede-like leather scent with a slightly soapy introduction, an earthy heart and spicy warm base. It is very much in the same vein as Helmut Lang Cuiron (ultra-modern) and without much floral/carnation notes that are present in old style leather scents, a la Knize Ten. Best for transition seasons such as spring and autumn.

Like the peppier, brighter younger sibling of Tom Ford's Tuscan leather, an ashtray leather that's a bit soapy and peppery. Sweetens up after a while to a semi-translucent bat-wing leather, still scruffy but pleasant. I recommend it.

I think Tommy Bahama (original) would be a wiser choice if you're going for this look- it's a more-complex rendition of the black pepper/coriander sparklies atop sexy base. Or Dirty English, for that matter.
