J'ai Trois Amours

This is a diffuse and joyful banana-jasmine-musk that sparkles and radiates. I have a travel spray of Bana Banana, which certainly gets the award for doing banana and jasmine first (apparently banana and jasmine are olfactive siblings), but whilst they do both bring a giggle and sense of humour, J'ai Trois Amours has a spun sugar halo that makes it very enjoyable to wear, and the jasmine is less indolic and lower in the mix. Those familiar with the work of Alberto Morillas and Honorine Blanc won't be surprised by this concoction: it has a similar feel to the Mizensir darlings (For your love, Poudre d'Or, Sweet Praline) but also something of what Honorine Blanc has done at Trish McEvoy (Blackberry & Vanilla Musk etc). I suppose one might say this goes slightly into shampooey territory with a pear or apple aspect in its mid tones, maybe some crushed rose petals and creamy citrus notes. There is a touch of clean soap in the way jasmine can show up. But these things are all kept perfectly in the balance with its sweetness and sensuality. Really lovely. IG: ScentAWeek

I blind bought 3 perfumes from the brand but luckily they were all nice, happy perfumes. They project very nicely at the beginning, they are fine in the sweet French style, but somehow strong. I can still feel the perfume on clothes from this morning, I have high hopes on this side. J' ai trois amours is a very optimistic jasmine, doubled by a sweet accord of banana flower, but still transparent, airy. It's yummy and carefree at the same time, a model of femininity that I can only aspire to, because it doesn't work for me :) I was afraid it would be a Chypre, because chypres and I don't mix, but it's not at all a classic Chypre.

J'ai Trois Amours is quite unknown and extremely underrated, which I’m ok with because it feels like my little secret treasure. When testing out the line at Liberty, I was wowed by many of their creations but this one really stood out to me. It’s sweet and feminine and irresistible, described as “delicious sparkles of laughter” by the brand, and I couldn’t agree more. If happiness and joy could be bottled up, I think this is what would come of it. The most joyous chypre I’ve experienced. I’ve loved it so much that my bottle is nearly gone, and as someone with 100+ fragrances, that is not a frequent occurrence.

This one presents to me as very similar to Alien Goddess Supra Florale, but possibly a little stronger and longer-lasting. It's intoxicating with the jasmine and banana flower -- I arrived to a relative's house and they said they could smell it all the way down the hall.

I actually kind of like the banana flower scent. My husband says it smells like shampoo, but to me, it’s a pleasant, feminine, and delicate floral fragrance.

J'ai Trois Amours is a gorgeous scent. The banana flower note gives semi sweet but clean smell. Doesn’t smell generic at all.

Smells like a designer fragrance you’d buy in a department store. Nice but generic.

A while back, Jus de Rose had on her Instagram story a link that offered her followers access to two of the Infininiment Coty Paris fragrances, one had to be her personal favourite, Encore Un Fois and the second, individually chosen. Because I have tried in the past just another banana flower scent from Mark Jacobs, I really wanted to get my nose on J’ai Trois Amours. And it’s a beautiful one. To me smells like jasmine mostly but with something warm and creamy in the background. It doesn’t smell like banana fruit does to me and I can’t say that I know how banana flowers smells like IRL. It seems to have a nice contrast with some green facets from somewhere but overall, to my nose, it’s another balanced sweet, luminous jasmine perfume. Goes without mentioning that I am grateful for the opportunity to test an expensive, niche perfume at home, without paying for the sample, but it’s not a perfume that I love and lust over. I like J’ai Trois Amours but it doesn’t move me in any way.

I first tested this on paper and absolutely loved it. However, I find that Jasmine is not my favorite note. I LOVE the opening of this one. The banana flower is so sweet and pretty I found myself overspraying really fast- only to be met with a much too floral heavy drydown that I really wanted to scrub off. But, I pressed on and decided to see how it would evolve as the day wore on. Ultimately I found it okay but just not my thing. When I couldn't smell it anymore I topped off with Musk Therapy and felt much more me. I prefer Jasmine Freak if I'm going to reach for a jasmine fragrance.

This is absolutly not for me. The combination of notes just don’t work, at least on my skin. I mostly smell the banana flower, but I find it smells a bit like slightly soured, rotting fruit. This is really quite nauseating. Once it dries down it does get a bit better, and has similarities to Vanilla Planifolia by Chloe, but with something that doesn’t quite belong in the background. A no for me.

I’m absolutely fascinated by J’ai Trois Amours and Coty’s Molecular Aura technology— which offers a lasting fragrance— unlike the “disappearing acts” coming out of other perfume houses. I love the combination of jasmine and banana flower. I wish more perfumers would use the banana flower, which is exotic and sensuous. Glad to see that Coty has returned to its roots— perfume-making.

I thought it was pear at first: It goes on quite fresh and crisp but also sweet and floral, but sadly the dry down is soooo sweeeeeeeeettttt. It was just too sweet overall and that dry down is the same boring cotton candy floral crap that everything is these days and I’m very tired of it

Very bright scent, heavy white florals mellowed with sweet fruity notes, I guess the banana "flower" is a synthetic sweet note...banana flowers don't have much smell in real life... It reminds me of J'adore L'Or. It is ok

This fragrance came out within a month of Marc Jacobs releasing Daisy Wild. They both contain banana flower and jasmine, and smell identical. So... what's the tea??
