Just got decants of Musk Therapy & Dubai Musk(highest rated MT dupe). Comparing the two, on opening: - Dubai Musk: You get a burst of Bergamont that makes it smell like a generic sunscreen for 5 minutes - Musk Therapy: You get a dash of Blackcurrant that makes it smell fruity for 3 minutes INITAL DRYDOWN (0-1 hours) The difference is like comparing Almond and Whole Fat Milk: In Dubai Musk, you get this woody, powdery, drydown backed by a white musk. You can smell the Sandalwood especially. It's like Musk Therapy had a baby with Santal 33, in a good way. In Musk Therapy, you get that, but far more toned down. Instead, most of the scent profile is replaced with this rich, almost dessert-like creaminess, that makes it lean slightly feminine. It almost smells like a vanilla lip balm, but with sillage. When I smell my both side-by-side, Musk Therapy stands out much more. On my skin, Dubai Musk seems to blend into a skin scent. DRYDOWN DURATION Musk Therapy lasted 4 hours on my skin. The last 2 were a skin scent on me Dubai Musk lasted 3 hours on my sin. The last 2 were a skin scent on me. CONCLUSION To me, Musk Therapy lasts much longer, because it's distinctively creamier. Because of this, I also think it's less versatile too. This would NOT be something to wear to the beach (sea salt + Cream = Secretions Magnifique Profile) I would probably not wear this outdoors in high heat, for similar reasons. Dubai Musk wins in those parts - it smells more natural/subtle on skin, and sweat/sea salt didn't hurt it. However, if you spend most of your time indoors, or are looking for a scent for special occasions in the summer, Musk Therapy is miles better. Dubai Musk is $160 per 100ml Musk Therapy is $210 per 100ml The $50 creates a massive difference, for me personally. Musk Therapy is much more formal and has sillage and scent that makes it stand out compared to Musk Therapy. PERSONAL RATING Musk Therapy: 9/10 - more creamy, lasts slightly longer with more sillage. Dubai Musk: 8/10 - more woody, lasts less. More versatile and masculine leaning though.

Musk Therapy by Initio opens as an extremely airy, clean scent that is surprisingly difficult to break down into individual notes. My first impression is a slightly sweet Fruity Pebbles-like accord floating in the air rather than a traditional citrus or fruity opening. The texture immediately stands out, feeling light, powdery, and almost weightless. As it settles, a musky laundry-clean character emerges alongside a floral quality that comes across as rose-like. There is a slight sharpness to the musks that gives the fragrance a more traditionally perfumey feel, and at this stage it leans more feminine than I expected. Over time, the florals blend into the background sweetness while soft woods begin to appear underneath. By the mid-wear, the musks take complete control of the composition. Soft woods, subtle sweetness, and blended florals support them, creating a scent that feels more like a second skin than a fragrance sitting on top of it. A slight funk in the musks adds character and keeps the scent from becoming a generic clean laundry fragrance. Later in the wear, a creamy floral-woody base develops before a sharper musky facet reemerges and adds some contrast. Overall, I found this to be a unique and high-quality fragrance with several interesting twists throughout the wear. The texture was the standout feature, remaining airy, effortless, and extremely wearable in high heat. While I wasn’t particularly fond of the floral character or the feminine lean early on, the fragrance improved as it moved into the drydown. I still don’t think I could justify the retail price, but I can absolutely see the appeal as a top-tier layering fragrance and a very strong summer scent on its own. Score: 8.0/10

As I start buying lesser scents on a whim, I find myself curating and drifting more towards these clean and versatile scents to fit my country's hot ass climate. Musk Therapy has been on my list for a long while but I finally pulled the trigger for my birthday. I absolutely love it but it's also not without its flaws. Scent: MT opens up fresh but also creamy at the same time where the tinge of fresh sweetness from the blackcurrant and bergamot blends beautifully with the musk. While obviously in its namesake, I don't feel that Musk Therapy is overly musky and fuzzy. I associate the scent with a very clean and milky body soap that you catch whiffs of as you're stepping out of the shower. Very linear though and not much depth in this fragrance though it really isn't needed because it just smells beautifully clean in the air. Performance: While I see that some people get strong performance from Musk Therapy, on my skin it performs just about average. Average lasting power and average projection for maybe 3 hours before retreating into a skin scent. The scent trail is exceptional though for when it is working. Versatility: Perfectly versatile. Literally usable for any scenario and occasion, you just smell like you clean up well and it's perfectly unisex to me too. Dumb reach kind of frag though the steep price point sometimes might deter you from doing so. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 5/10 Versatility: 10/10 Personal Score: 9/10 It really just an amazing clean, everyday scent that isn't one-note but also very fun and well blended. Expensive for the performance I received, but even in Southeast Asia's tropical climate I find myself reaching for Musk Therapy probably more often than I should.

I didn't know how much I would enjoy this fragrance until I smelt it for the first time. As soon as I sprayed it on my skin and smelt it, I instantly got reminded of my grandparent's sun room in their house. I understand why people call it a laundry scent since that's how it felt being in that sun room. I personally don't like how it's described as a laundry scent however since Musk therapy isn't trying to seem clean and ultra fresh or trying to be bold and different. It's an intriguing skin scent that reminds me of the Christmas Eve dinners, Easter mornings, and countless birthdays spent in that very same sun room. The florals mixed with the citruses and musk playfully bounce on the line of feminine and masculine, and the nature of the notes easily allows Musk therapy to be virtually worn anywhere and anytime of the year since it's so inoffensive, but it is a slightly odd skin scent that also allows it to not become basic in that sense. If you're getting into perfumes and you want to buy your first niche, I'd heavily recommend this or something similar to it because it is possibly the most versatile cologne I have. You might also fall in love with it like me too. I own around 15 colognes and I have smelt/sampled dozens more and Musk Therapy by Initio is the only one I alway see myself turn to and use.

A scent that really stands out with its cleanliness and character. Contrary to the "therapy" effect its name implies, it left a much brighter and striking impression on me. When I bought this perfume, I was expecting a soft, minimal, enveloping musk with a soft character, but I encountered a scent with more character. In terms of character, it's really clean and simple, but instead of a soft or babyish musk, it offers a musk enlivened with bright, tangy fruits paired with a feeling of quality cleansing. I imagine the broken, slightly dirty and matte version of white color in my mind. The scent carries a familiar musk profile, but unlike many clean scents where the musk remains in the background, here it is distinctly clear, intense and definitely at the forefront. The entire identity of the perfume is based on this bold, angular but still characterful stance in simplicity. He reminds me of the quietest but most successful student in the class: calm, clean-cut, collected, with a mature presence and impossible to ignore. I am sure that many people who care about minimalism and cleanliness but do not like boring and conventional scents will establish a deep connection with this scent and make it their signature scent.

This is a sexy sexy zesty fizzy creamyyy perfume. It’s giving lemon sorbet or lemon meringue. It smells clean and fresh without being boring af. Citrus and black currant are making it tart, musk is making it fizzy and sandalwood is making it a bit creamy. Longevity is incredible and sillage is great (I can clearly smell it on me the next morning). Kinda a miracle, since it is a fresher scent. If you like your perfume to give leo rising, you want delicious, creamy, gourmand, long lasting and powerful. Evey time when you feel like you should maybe buy a fresh perfume, you find something like Tihota on discount (jk, Tihota is never on sale) and you buy that instead. If you find fresh perfumes utterly a-sexual, uninspiring, so not Megan Fox energy, underperforming, mid, they are giving MID, then you might like this beauty here (just don’t blind buy, it’s $$$). It’s not a gourmand, but gourmand lover who wants a summery fresh scent, might like this. Occasion: Honeymoon vibes, think passionate thoughts Weather: Warm and humid. No air. Lowkey dying, lowkey still loving the weather Location: Tropical island, king size bed with bright white linens and the view on the ocean Outfit: Only tan lines

Finally bought the fragrance (alhamdullilah) and had it for a week. Initially, I'd spray it and imediately get the top notes of citrus/florals, and then it's slowly transition to the creamiest musk you can ever think of (think of almost like a buttery smell mixed with florals and a subtle sandalwood). However, after around a week or so of having this, the initial spray has just smelled like rubbing alcohol - even stronger than Nautica Voyage or YSL Y or Liquid Brun. It smells sour and bitter and burns my nostrils. If I let it sit for around 20-30 minutes, it becomes the same creamy skin scent we know and love, but it lasts around 4 hours. Would've said this would be perfect for everything. But after using it for a while, I think it's best for date-nights, or times to cuddle, especially in the summer. I've had no one ever say it's bad - all female friends I have ADORE this scent, and most male friends enjoy this too. 9/10 (-1 for opening and versatility)

Musk Therapy is a perfect example of why I love fragrance. We smell perfume after perfume, hoping to stumble across something that doesn’t just smell good—but moves us. That evokes a feeling or memory that takes us somewhere else... somewhere we want to be. There are good fragrances, better ones, great ones—even excellent ones. And then there are the rare few like this. Clean white musk. Soft citrus. And something herbaceous—almost basil-like—hidden deep in the background (not listed in the notes, but I swear it’s there). It smells like that perfect place on the horizon where the earth and sky become one. Heavenly. But it's not all zen and happy thoughts; serenity and soft lights. There’s a sliver of mystery here—something subtle that keeps you guessing, keeps you close. This is Initio, so projection and longevity are not in question—10+ hours, easily. Absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 in my book.

In a store full of niche perfumes, it took me 5 minutes to decide to buy this after spraying it on my arm. It is that good! Like someone perfectly said below, it is everything I never knew I wanted! I was not looking for this specific perfume but it grabbed me and it was not letting go. For me, this is the perfect perfume for summer 2021. Full of hope, good vibes and “light that has conquered the darkness” feeling. Nothing is too much, perfume is perfectly blended so nothing would bother you. You fall on its musk pillow base after being effortlessly carried through the citrusy, fruity opening. I wore this perfume in a beach vacation and it was just perfect. I wore during the day and evening and it just worked! This is what Erba Pura could have been if they have’t overdone it! Blind buy safe i would say!

When I first sprayed this on my hand, I couldn't stop smelling it for the rest of the day. Smells like a cleanliness that doesn't even feel possible. Beautifully composed creamy musk delicately layered with fruity and floral notes that reminds me of the lilacs my family would have in the house in the summer. It feels like cuddling with your partner in an expensive luxury resort in the carribean. The only fragrance I'd ever considering giving a spray before bed, or just relaxing in general. Completely unisex - if I smelt this on a woman, I'd love it. All my female friends love it on me too. Nothing has come close to replicating this. $250-$300 is a fair price, given the quality. I'd personally get this when life clicks for me. I'm not there yet, but inshallah, I will. 10/10

The calmest and cleanest scent ever made. I could not stop smelling my wrist when I first sampled this at the mall. Scents are, of course, subjective but this is so inoffensive that I feel this one should be universally beloved - It's so soothing. I will always recommend Musk Therapy to someone looking for their first niche fragrance and/or looking for a musk fragrance. I do see it as unisex but can see how someone could perceive as leaning feminine. Regardless, it would make an amazing signature scent and would add it does shine best during the day. Such a stunning piece of perfumery. One of my all-time favorites - if fragrances had a Hall of Fame, Musk Therapy would be first ballot. On top of that, I'll even say it's in my Mount Rushmore of niche fragrances.

My boyfriend and I both wear this perfume and it’s honestly one of our all-time favorites. There’s something really special about a scent you can share. I also picked up the body cream version, and together they layer beautifully and last so well on the skin. The smell is absolutely heavenly, elegant, addictive, and comforting at the same time. It’s truly a four-season fragrance that works no matter the weather or occasion. The opening has this gorgeous musky-citrus brightness that feels fresh and inviting, then it slowly melts into a smooth woody-floral base that’s warm, sensual, and refined. It feels classy without being overpowering. Perfect for both daytime and evening wear, a total must-have in our collection.

I almost hate how much I enjoy Musk Therapy because it’s not really super interesting and the price tag is crazy, but it just makes me feel so pampered and put together. When I wear this (which is mostly to bed) everything just feels cozy, clean, and like everything is right in the world (the escapism is needed). I feel like written descriptions really just fall short though. It’s like a whisper of fruit on top of clean laundry. But not like fresh from the dryer laundry, but clean clothes that’s hanging in the sun and catching the breeze. I also find that this lasts quite a while! Like I mentioned I often wear it to bed and will find myself getting whiffs of the clean musk throughout the next day somehow.

Absolutely gorgeous. From sample to bottle in less than a minute. Creamy white floral (which you can smell closer up on skin), fluffy musk, and the fruity opening - to me - veers into a white peach direction. Very clean relaxed feel. Definitely leans feminine, but I am confident so on it goes. At night after a shower, it smells so good while getting ready for sleepy time. With 6 sprays minimum, it lasts all day on me and on clothes until they’re washed. It’s musk, so it doesn’t project heavily or suck O2 out of a room. Definitely brightens up the day. **For a more masculine musk, Milky Musk by Parle Moi de Parfums is fantastic. Parisian Musc by Matiere Premiere is also quite nice.

Such a lovely comforting perfume. It's like someone took soft pillows and white fluffy clouds and converted into a fragrance. It's all round, smooth edges and warmth. The initial citrus dies away relatively quickly and then the soft, powdery musk comes in and it's absolutely amazing. If you're ever feeling drained or frazzled after a tough day, just spritz this and you'll immediately feel better. I often wear it before going to bed, and I swear I fall alsepe quicker, and wake up more relaxed. And smelling this on myself first thing in the morning is the best wake up call ever. It's expensive, but worth it. If you can get it from discounters, don't think twice.

I find it personally annoying when people describe scents as smelling “fluffy”, “like a hug”, “soft” as this gives me nothing and can be too subjective - but I can’t describe Musk Therapy as anything other than a comfortable hug that you want to last 😁. Not sweet, not too citrusy, not too woody or musky - for me it is a perfect balance of all notes that makes it easy to wear any time of the day and any season of the year. It is not a scent made to scream, but it is loud enough to be noticed. Even though the sillage is subtle, the projection is good and I could smell it on my clothes the day after. I purchased a full 90ml bottle and I’m a happy owner!

musk therapy is a fresh, white musk for any time, any occasion, on anyone. this is certainly a unique blend from initio, considering most of their fragrances are somewhat spicy and almost always overwhelming. i can appreciate this all year round and can confidently say this is a safe blind buy. if you're worried about the price: i own both the parfum and the hair perfume and both smell the exact same. the only difference is the sillage, so get the hair perfume if you can't afford the parfum. anyway, this is one of my most complimented fragrances, all of my friends praise how clean and pretty i smell when i wear this, could not recommend this enough.

MT stands for must-try!!! If you’re looking for a workplace-friendly, everyday, clean-but-with-a-twist scent, this is it. It opens with a simple yet strong citrus note, but within a few minutes it dries down into something wonderful. Musky, clean, and creamy- the citruses move into the background. I think it leans feminine; it is extremely soft, gentle, and calming. Another thing I’m extremely excited about is that, on my skin, the black currant doesn’t give off the infamous ammonia smell this time. I am infatuated with this fragrance after just the first day of wearing it. I think my wallet will suffer very quickly. (and so it has)

I love this fragrance. The opening is clean, sweet blackcurrant and citrus with a slight green herbal note. At the dry down it develops into a soft, fluffy, floral, musky, creamy cloud with the magnolia shining through. Longevity is amazing on me at 8+ hours, projection isn’t huge but I wear it for me. It’s clean and fresh but comforting, long lasting but subtle. A lazy weekend morning in an old French chateau. Clean, fresh white linen sheets. A good book. A scented candle. Wearing my love’s shirt which still smells of him. The doors are open to the warm, fragrant garden with white muslin curtains blowing in the breeze.

Im not sure why everyone is saying this is a summer fragrance. It's saccharine and creamy, gives the vibe of cotton. It isn't necessarily warm but I associate fluffy with winter and night time. This smells like red vine licorice candy, basically almost 85% like that. I get whiffs of it after like 1 and a half to 2 hours, then it dies into a skin scent that lasts about 6-7 hours. Not sure if the projection is any good because no one can every really smell me after about 2 hours. The sillage within the first hour is great though, I heard one person down the hall say "it smells good" so theres that.

Holy mother of god. To me this smells very much like the opening to Bal d'Afrique, aromatic and citrusy, but on a backdrop of soft, fluffy, creamy musk. Nothing harsh or sharp here. Soft edges, rolling around on a fluffy white down comforter. I adore this!! I am FAR too poor to actually buy a bottle of this, but I'm in love so I must find a way... update: After wear testing this a lot, I still love it but I'm not convinced I need it. I keep going back and forth on it... something about it is just not clicking for some reason. maybe a 10ml decant is in order to see if this is truly a must-have.

I didn’t understand the hype around Musk Therapy at first. It felt almost too subtle and plain. In a gourmand lover. I tried it again. And then it clicked. This is creamy musk perfection. Soft, smooth, and addictive in the most effortless way. It doesn’t project loudly because it wraps around you like warm skin. The musk is milky and comforting, balanced by a gentle freshness that keeps it from ever feeling heavy or sharp. It’s creamy like coconut milk. Now I’m obsessed. It’s the kind of scent you keep reaching for. I don’t know why I’m so obsessed but I get the hype.

this is that type of fragrance when you dont want to wear a fragrance but you are wearing a fragrance its soft, musky, citrusy and floral with a tiny bit of woodiness to make it a little bit more unisex and then with it the best note ever black currant to make it a little bit fruity its modern, elegant, relaxing and sadly for me a little bit to feminine but its still magnificent, beautiful, delicate to the point where i dont care if its too feminine i definitely think its worth the price on discounters its like 160eur for a 50ml getting a bottle soon

I'll just say that this is truly the most beautiful thing I've ever smelled in my life. I can say that many perfumes are wonderful, but this one is the most beautiful of all! And always will be. Period. But..there's always a but. Unfortunately I don't smell anything about this perfume after a few minutes. I'm completely nose blind or it is soo so weak 😔 And that's what hurts me so much and I can't get over it. I don't smell it on myself or on my partner. He also doesn't smell it on himself or on me. So heartbreaking..

I bought this amazing fragrance as a gift for my wife, and honestly, it might be the best women’s fragrance I’ve ever smelled. It’s incredibly versatile and works beautifully in any situation. Most importantly, it smells like a real perfume, not just another musky body lotion. It has an ultra 3D feel with a rich depth and the weight of high quality oils, far from the synthetic musks we’re so used to. Even the citrus notes feel smooth, rich, and incredibly natural. I can’t recommend it enough. 100/10. Wow.

Super clean (not soapy) sweet sexy vanilla-esque scent. good sillage, good performance I love vanilla powder my matiere premiere, but I think this is sweet enough to replace something in the vanilla domain and reign supreme. wonderfully non-offensive I find this perfume perfect for applying after a hot shower, or really good to just mask some light gym activity, or airplane travel. the fragrance equivalent of a ferrero rocher, super comforting and everyone loves it blind buy safe, 9/10

Only 5 years old, but still one of the OGs. Easiest grab if you don’t know what to wear. I love it for that reason alone. Best white musk imo. Fresh, soft and clean. I have never met anyone who has disliked it. So safe, and a real compliment getter. Underrated, I feel it deserves to lay in the 4.30 range, maybe even 4.40. However it is perhaps a bit too boring to be that high. Perfected this DNA though, and still absolutely worth it in 2026!

This fragrance is like walking into the most boujee spa. It WRAPS you with the most elegant, lactonic musk and blackcurrant, very intimate projection, just enough to smell it on yourself all day long but not choke out the person next to you. On my first wearing, I wore this fragrance during a long commute and could catch whiffs all day even in public with all the hustle and bustle. The easiest Initio to wear in my opinion.

People talk and dogs bark :) This is a high-quality fragrance regardless of what people say; it is well-blended and smells lovely and clean. It reall works on my skin, especially in the summer. Please don't just read the reviews, try it for yourself. An incredibly beautiful, sophisticated scent that lasts a long time, but be careful not to overspray, as it can cause nausea. This is probably one of the cleanest scent !! that sweet citrus open will not gonna punched you and is just perfect then immediately toned down to that sweet musky woody scent ,the projection is just fine coz it's meant to be not that loud , It's a great daily driver ,at the moment I have a Decant and before I made this review, I ordered a full bottle online , This is such a addictive scent

The most beautiful, dreamy, fluffy, musky, citrus, clean scent I’ve ever smelt in my life. I love how it evolves, you truly get to experience all of the notes. Anyone who says anything negative about this scent must be rage baiting, I’m sure of it. Suitable for any time, any season and any occasion. Lasts forever, especially on clothes. Absolute perfection and worth every penny.

It confuses me when people say this is a skin scent with no lasting power because I get all day wear with a strong projection for the first half and moderate projection for the second. I love this but it's not a musk scent on me at all... citrus all day! It's perplexing and addicting and even though it's not my husband's favorite, I really enjoy how I feel when I wear this.

I wasn’t expecting to get so much citrus from this by the way people talked about it, but it really does stand out and surprisingly I love it. It’s very much a creamy citrus though not sharp and bright. I definitely get the musk, bergamot, and mandarin and I can’t get enough. It lasts all day and then some on my clothes. I can see this being a go to this summer.

I love this perfume! It is such a cozy perfume. This perfume doesn’t open up very citrusy to me at all. The scent is clean, musky, spicy (but in the way chai is spiced) and very floral. It kind of smells like clean musky jasmine. If I imagine this is what cashmere or silk smells like. It lingers for 3-5 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate.

For me Musk Therapy is truly a Swiss Army knife fragrance. Any occasion. Any season. Male or female. I would argue even worth every penny full retail blind buy safe. But always sample and seek discount when able. Musk therapy knows the assignment and it gets it done effortlessly every time.

My signature fresh scent. I have 3 bottles of it, it’s that good. Just fresh and clean and can get creamy and you get the citrus a lot to me it does have Dior homme cologne vibes to it. I pick this over Aventus cologne and Tygar and other known good fresh fragrances. I just prefer this.

If you’re looking for an easy wearing, beautiful, straight up musk/sandalwood scent you’ve found it. This one is such a universally appealing fragrance, easy blind buy, and would make such a lovely gift. I will always have this one in my collection, it’s such a beautiful fragrance.

Musk Therapy and Rehab are the only fragrances you need in your life. Both are smooth, sweet and fresh at the same time. These 2 are the best perfumes i smelled in like 10 years of search. I'm done with my journey. The one that made these 2 fragrances, thank you.

One of my favorite scents that I've smelled. Very subtle and easy to wear. My only problem is that I don't love the opening but the dry down is very nice. Smells like fresh clothes, good longevity so far (been on for 8 hours and still smells pretty strong)

It’s a really good clean scent. I’ll get compliments for the first 2 hours then after that it completely fades for me. You’ll have to put your shirt to your nose to smell it. I definitely have to overspray this one. But the smell is very very good

Musk Therapy smells, to me, like a softer and less strong version of Versace Crystal Noir. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that yet. I like both but I think that VCN isn't suitable for warmer weather. MT is a good warmer weather alternative.

One of the best fragrances of all time. An irresistibly creamy sandalwood scent with a hint of citrus and soft musk. It’s incredibly long-lasting, just one or two sprays will carry you through the entire day.

This smelled like chemicals and didn’t last long on my wife’s skin but smelled sweet and lasted all day with very good projection on me. We both loved it when I wore it so definitely try before buy.

Calm and collected. This is such a perfect “safe” scent for everyone. The name speaks itself. It’s the perfect therapeutic musk lol. It also reminds me of Lacoste Pour Femme.

citrusy at the start, musky and clean at the end, soft and light, if u want to smell good but dont really get noticed i think its perfect, my fav musk scent w silver msuk
