Aire de Sevilla Primavera

I randomly came across Instituto Espanol perfumes on Amazon when I was looking for fresh, cologne type scents - and anything particularly that's similar to my beloved Tuscan Soul scent which CATASTROPHICALLY and UNBELIEVABLY is now discontinued (WTF??!). Anyway, so I was browsing the perfumes and came across Gotas Frescas, which sounded from the reviews as if it would appeal to me and the price was very reasonable so I ordered a bottle of that. When I got it it didn't blow me away but smelled pleasant, lemon'y and fresh. After a few uses though I LOVED it and now it's become one of my go-to scents and is lovely to use fresh out of a shower and on warm, sticky days. Also, the scent lingers for hours despite it only being a cologne. ... Why is that scent not on here? Can someone PLEASE add it. Anyway, so going on from there, I decided to browse Instituto Espanol's other perfumes and saw that I could get a bottle of Aire de Sevilla Primavera at a very reasonable price (and the pretty orange, flowery box in the picture on Amazon was appealing too!) so I chanced it and ordered a bottle. When that came, again I wasn't blown away but it smelled pretty and a 'crowd pleaser' type of fragrance. I haven't used it much though in the couple of months I've had it (I do have a lot of perfumes though!) but wore it yesterday layered with my Le Couvents des Minimes 'Eau Aimable' perfume that I got just a few days ago (another blind buy!) which smells a bit musty and a bit too sweet, and not as fresh as I'd anticipated, to my nose. Bingo! Those two smell VERY nice, clean, fresh, a bit sweet and juicy, together on my skin and the longevity was great - hours and hours. :-) So, I can definitely recommend at least 2 of the Instituto Espanol perfumes (Aire de Sevilla and Gotas Frescas), I'm very happy with my bottles and will VERY definitely be buying more when I run out.

Blind buy arrived today. Based on the notes and the description, this is what I was expecting mostly. The first spray is quite heavy green-white floral. I would not complain about the lasting power because it is lingering there for long, but the intensity fades a lot in the first hour. The Pure poison and CK One comparison both seem right. Which is strange... I would have never guessed there is a perfume that smells like both of those, but it is. It has the slightly smoky white floral notes of Poison, but also the freshness of CK One. If I dig my nose even deeper in it I can feel some sage reminding me of CK Eternity too. The smell is somewhere between the 60's /70's retro and victorian vintage. The bottle is 90's cheapies style, bit too big with its 150ml does not lay into your palms, at least not mine and I don't have extremely small hands
