Haven't smelled L'homme Le Parfum, but what YSL did to LNDL with Bleu Electrique is exactly what this fragrance is to the original L'homme. Amazing blue iteration with the perfect amount of sweetness to match the overwhelmingly "blue" lavender shower gel in the opening. But if you're familiar with that smooth ambroxany tonka core of the original, there's no mistakening it here. To me, it's far more appealing than something like Sauvage edt (which always gave me a headache) and the base is even more interesting than Chanel's BdC. I don't get any outright citruses though, and the greener notes just add some soapy crispness to the underlying sweet tones. To most people, it'll likely come off as "out-of-the-shower-fresh", so there's no question about the versatility; only it has that little extra bit of fruity allure in the base to separate it from the scent of ordinary hygiene products. Honestly not a big fan of fragrances that fit into this blue genre, but this might just be my favourite of them all. Performance is right in the middle, but I've had some positive feedback on my clothing that retained the scent days later. So far, I've worn the entire line and this one comes in second right after Carbon. If this was in retail stores, it would likely fly off of the shelves.
