Le Sel d'Issey Parfum

It's a banger, the Saffron works well with the marine notes, plus the leathery woody base gives depth to the composition. It feels round and complete. Not the strongest performer but surely better imo than the edt everywhere. I recommend.

Gave this a full wearing today. If you know the EdP, the Parfum is very similar with the addition of a rubbery, leathery saffron note. Basically a sweet-salty aquatic with a smooth ambery base and a leathery edge. Somewhat mass-appealing with a touch of darkness. Good longevity and sillage. A very solid release for a designer house, just not exciting enough for my personal taste. I think the EdT remains the most unique from the line.

Salted Leather. Smells awesome and lasts a long time. I love the EdT and would take the Parfum over the EdP.

I was really excited for this version, but unfortunately I didn't like it 😕 ... It is smells like cough syrup with hint of rubber. Also the performance is very weak, it last good as a skin scent, but the sillage is incredibly weak. The EDT still the king out of this line 👑, I kept many bottles as backup. It is the best as scent profile and the best performance (longevity and sillage). The EDP was also a disappointment to me 😕, because of the sea weeds note was too much, which is gives it a disgusting scent especially in the first hour. It has also a weak performance, but better than the PARFUM. The PARFUM is the weakest performance in the line. 🔄 My imagination ... In the opening, If they remove the saffron and put a Smokey note, or Elemi instead. And in the base if they replace the Ambre with Olibanum (Frankincense) note instead, or Vetiver (The earthy Vetiver, not the old classic barbershop Vetiver), or Cedar wood. ... it will be a gorgeous release. The EDT is a masterpiece and the best overall. 👑🔥💥

I ended up choosing this over the other two in the line as it seemed an all year round version of the EdT. I didn't like the EdP and i think this one does a good job at delivering a slightly darker and longer lasting version of the original. EdT is still the best, but i find that this is longer lasting. It doesn't have the peppery brightness of the original's opening but it's very close. When i was trying them both side-by-side, the differences were very little. Definately lasts longer on skin and may give you a bit more of projecting period than the original. I can still smell it as a skin scent at the end of the day.
