L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Eau Essentielle

Easy compliment getter! This just arrived yesterday and today I wear it at work. The moment I entered the restaurant (because I work as a bartender) my female colleagues said I smell very nice. Issey Miyake didn't dissappointed in the last couple of years. Sometimes you really don't need an expensive niche fragrance to be in the center.

Smells amazing to me. Fresh/aromatic and smells like a spicy hippy cola. Thats not a bad thing. A pleasant surprise

I’m not really into simple, safe summer “freshies” - I’d rather have my citrus in a lemonade and swim in a blue ocean than wear someone’s interpretation of it on my skin. On the other hand, BLV Pour Homme by Bvlgari made me fall in love with ginger. My favourite summer fragrance is Kenzo Once Upon A Time, where ginger combined with nutmeg is simply intoxicating. It’s also quite a spicy fragrance, thanks to coriander seeds and vetiver, and that’s where L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Eau Essentielle offers a pleasant change to me, while still retaining that wonderful ginger and nutmeg combination. The mandarin and lavender blend beautifully together with the other tones, creating a sweet yet green impression, with a slightly earthy, mossy (or fern-like) undertone. A very pleasant surprise - I have to say, this flanker impressed me much more than the OG.

Sinceramente no entiendo las reseñas de muchos perfumes. Entiendo que puede haner disparidad de opiniones sobre los perfumes y tal vez esto enriquece a este mundo. He probado hoy Essentielle de Issey Miyake y su aroma me.ha gustado. Entiendo que puede ser muy lineal pero merece la pena probarlo. Las notas de jengibre y mandarina me han parecido muy buenas. Me ha parecido un perfume fresco y muy gustoso. Está claro que es un perfume para primaveras. calurosas y veranos donde apriete el calor que es donde mejor se va a desempeñar. Sobre la duración, me he atomi,ado 3 veces en el antebrazo y tras más de 6 horas aun lo percibo. Lo mejor es probarlo como sucede con cualquier perfume antes de sacar conclusiones o dejaras llevae por opiniones. Saludos.

What's not to like? Totally innoffencive slightly green fragrance that takes a slight step from the beaten path. You might smell som of the original dna somewhere in the background, but this one leans summery and clean like a newly mowed lawn tuned down to 2. Very innoffensice, office safe and fresh.

Got a sample of this and wore it twice now. It opens aquatic, briefly reminding of the discontinued Issey Miyake l'eau Majeure and instantly nose blinding me to top notes. When it settles, it transitions into spicy lavender. The quality of lavender is great, I would compare it to PDM Percival or MFK Masculin Pluriel, though the entire composition is not on the same level. After the likeable lavender phase it dries down to trendy ambrocenide base. I would get this for the lavender alone, but after it hits the discounters and reach the recommended brand price level. I didn't mention that performance is mediocre, the longevity is not bad, but projection is intimate to moderate at best.

This one didn’t really work for me. Fresh and clean, yes, but also pretty underwhelming. It feels wearable, but not especially memorable - especially compared to what Issey Miyake can do at its best. Also, I’m not sure lavender and ginger have been the brand’s strongest ideas in their recent releases.

It's so weird how this develops to me. Starts off very briefly with the ginger and orange, if you're really looking for them. And then very quickly becomes like a nuclear lavender bomb, very generic mans fragrance vibes. And it literally doesn't come off of your clothes until you wash them.

First Impressions: This is a Fruity/Citrus, Lavender sweet aromatic fragrance that shares a close resemblance to Issey Miyake Solar Lavender and Hermes H24 Herbes Longevity is average at best, roughly 6-7 hours on my skin, though this may vary depending on skin chemistry Overall Rating (8/10) It's a safe blind-buy, versatile, and an overall perfect fragrance suitable for all seasons throughout the year. It's very inoffensive and honestly a good aquatic/citrousy fruity fragrance.

Based on the notes, I thought I would love this. I didn’t. It opened up nicely with the ginger and wood. A bit later, banana (?) came through which was surprising but also nice. But about an hour in, it became oppressive and stayed that way. It had the quality of a generic men’s cologne, paired with the smell of printer paper. It was the scent of a sad office worker.

If what Fragless says is correct, it really aligns with Marie Salamagne's creations for this line...all underperforming, decent scents but nothing ground breaking or write home about :( Le Sel EDT is the only one for me after the timeless classic Leu D'issey that really stands out for me for this brand. They really need to take it up a notch for the next release

@softtouch88 only Sel d'Issey and the original are standouts? The whole Nuit line is amazing, the Or Encens and Ambre Noir are out of this world, Shade of Kolam (same perfumer as this) is reaaaally good, Oceanic Expedition, L'Eau Bleu (both), etc. Issey is a great house with amazing frags and yes, quite a few misses

Will this be my eagerly awaited summer 2026 release to finally come available in January 2027? Last year was Armani Profondo edt (2025 release), and when I finally sampled it in spring 2026, at the airport, it wasn't a must have.

Can't wait for this one, sounds really clean. Past couple of release been bangers, le sel edt specifically, hope this ones good

This looks pretty interesting and could be unisex. Will definitely try both versions.
